I was wandering around Nishi-Shinjuku and found a promising beef cutlet restaurant, so I visited at 6:20 pm on Sunday. The restaurant was about 70% full, with mostly solo male customers and families. I sat at a table and ordered the signature beef cutlet plate for 1490 yen (excluding tax) and a draft beer for 450 yen (excluding tax). The Sapporo Black Label draft beer arrived at 6:24 pm, followed by the beef cutlet plate at 6:29 pm. The plate included sirloin and loin cuts, and a hot iron plate was also provided for additional grilling. Unlike most beef cutlet restaurants that serve barley rice, this one served white rice, which was a pleasant surprise. The miso soup had gluten-based ingredients and had a taste similar to red miso soup. I enjoyed dipping the beef cutlet in sauces like soy sauce and sprinkling some sansho pepper. It was a delicious meal.

"I have used 'Kyoto Katsugyu' several times when I visited the Kansai area, but this is my first visit to the Kanto area. I had lunch at the Shinjuku store. The interior of the store is clean but somewhat narrow, with a layout that resembles a fast food restaurant. I think the basic menu is the same as in the Kansai area. There are lunch menus available, where you can enjoy beef cutlet relatively reasonably. This time, I had the orthodox beef cutlet set meal (regular size). You can enjoy the taste with three types of ponzu, salt and pepper, and sauce. The beef cutlet itself is tender and delicious. It has a lighter texture than tonkatsu, which might be just right for the hot summer. By the way, coincidentally or not, there were about three groups of young Korean tourist customers who came in. I wonder if it's popular among them?"

I had the impression that this place is usually crowded, but I was able to get in right away this time. I wanted to try the limited-time eel cutlet. The staff seemed to be understaffed, as they were slow to bring tea and towels until I asked. The beef cutlet arrived relatively quickly after ordering. It looked just like the picture. When I tried it, the eel was crispy on the outside, thick and juicy on the inside, and much tastier than I expected. I would definitely want to eat this again. The beef cutlet was as good as always. I added extra grilling myself. It had the reliable taste and was delicious. If you add the restaurant on LINE as a friend, you can have unlimited refills of cabbage, rice, and red miso soup. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered the eel gyukatsu set with a draft beer, and my companion ordered the gyukatsu set. The food was served quickly, and the eel was tender and flavorful, pairing well with the rich beer. The gyukatsu had a thin and crispy coating, making it easy to eat and also went well with the beer. The Sapporo beer was very smooth and refreshing, perfect for a hot day. The gyukatsu was not too thick, tender, and had an elegant taste. The fresh wasabi added a nice touch without being too spicy. The grated yam with dashi soy sauce was also delicious. My companion enjoyed the gyukatsu set, and took advantage of the free rice, cabbage, and miso soup refill offer by adding more. They particularly liked the miso soup. It was a delicious meal. Thank you!

Kyoto Beef Cutlet Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi-dori branch is located near the intersection of Kotakibashi-dori and Shinjuku Oogado Nishi. Depending on the time you go, there may be a line, so be careful. There are many foreign tourists in this area, so you may also see foreigners inside the restaurant. I was drawn in by the combination of the word "Kyoto" and "beef". As usual, I ordered the W set meal with beef cutlet. The cutlet I had this time seemed like it was definitely double fried, with a certain level of heat. Normally, it would come out rare and you could finish cooking it on the tabletop iron plate to keep it soft and hot, but this time it was served fully cooked all the way through. It wasn't as delicious as usual. The breading was also hard. I wonder if it's because of the shift that day or the person cooking. But I will go again, hoping for a better experience next time. If it's the same next time, I won't go back. Thank you for the meal. Kyoto Beef Cutlet Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi-dori branch, 1F Nishi Shinjuku Building, 7-10-19 Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Business hours: 11:00-21:30 (last order 21:00), open on Sundays, closed irregularly (except for New Year's holidays).

I felt like eating it again and ended up visiting the restaurant. If you designate a friend on LINE, you will occasionally receive coupons. Today, the double portion was free. As always, you can enjoy changing the taste while sizzling. The sauce, soy sauce, salt, and sansho pepper are the best. Wasabi is sprinkled moderately as a condiment. The rice is cooked just right to go with the cutlet. And the miso soup is red dashi. I had a blissful time drinking draft beer. Thank you for the feast.

Sometimes you just crave for some beef cutlet. Among the many competing cutlet restaurants, the chosen one this time was "Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi-dori Branch". I visited on a weekday night. The interior has a catchy diner atmosphere, but with a sense of cleanliness and the staff's service is nice. By registering as a LINE friend, you can get free refills, and although this is my first time writing a review, I am a member and use it quite often. They even put up member-exclusive signs, which makes you feel quite special. With a coupon, I was able to upgrade from regular to large for free. I ordered the following: Gyukatsu Set - Regular 1,490 yen (excluding tax). By registering with LINE, you can eat a large set for the price of a regular one, so it feels like a good deal. The price for a large set was around 1,790 yen, I believe. Once again, the rare feature of this restaurant is the rare cutlet. You can choose how well-done you want it to be cooked, but I prefer it as is. The side dishes were cabbage and miso soup. The condiments included wasabi with soy sauce, sansho salt, and sauce. As for condiments, my choice is dashi soy sauce. It's really delicious. Sprinkle some shichimi spice, dip it in the sauce, and just enjoy eating it. If you want to eat beef cutlet, this place is highly recommended!

I couldn't decide on lunch in Shinjuku and was wandering around. I finally decided to try this place that I had been curious about for a while. Even though I was alone, the staff kindly guided me to a table seat instead of the counter seat, which I really appreciated. The service was great. I ordered the sirloin steak. The taste was fantastic, especially with soy sauce and wasabi. I enjoyed every bite. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I have visited several tonkatsu restaurants before, but this was my first time trying teppan-style tonkatsu. The outside was crispy, while the inside was rare and tender, sizzling with each bite. You can season it with dashi soy sauce, sauce, or salt to your liking. It pairs well with beer! Plus, if you become LINE friends, you can get unlimited refills of cabbage, rice, and miso soup. All of this for just a little over 1500 yen was surprising. Thank you for the delicious meal.

If you add the restaurant on LINE as a friend, you can receive special coupons and enjoy unlimited refills of cabbage, rice, and miso soup. The restaurant has about 4 counter seats and 6 chair seats, so it's a bit small, but I recommend Katsugyu if you want to eat beef cutlet.

There was a day when I wanted to eat beef cutlet. The restaurant I chose tonight was "Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi Street Branch." It was not far from Shinjuku Station, and I walked there to enter. Every meal begins with excitement. Let's go! This is the place to go when you want to eat beef cutlet. It's a restaurant where you can choose your preferred level of doneness. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.

Today, I had a solo lunch at this casual restaurant where you can easily pop in for a quick meal. They have counter seats and table seats. I ordered the regular size beef cutlet set for 1,078 yen including tax. It comes with rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The cabbage comes with dressing, so it's quite tasty. The amount of meat is quite generous even for the regular size. It's a DIY style where you cook and eat, so it feels kind of luxurious. They offer beef cutlet sauce, dashi soy sauce, and sansho pepper salt. My recommendation is dashi soy sauce with wasabi. It's refreshing and delicious. Another great point is that if you add them as a friend on LINE, you can have unlimited refills of everything.

This time I visited "Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi-dori Store"! I ordered the Gyukatsu Zen for 980 yen! By registering the official LINE account here, you can have unlimited refills of rice, cabbage, and miso soup! I don't have many opportunities to eat gyukatsu, so when I eat it again, it's really delicious! It is served half-raw and you can cook it to your liking! I like it rare, so I prefer not to cook it too much! There are 3 standard dipping sauces, and for an additional fee, you can add "Kyotama (soft-boiled egg)" and "Mizore Ponzu"! There are various ways to eat it, so you won't get tired of it no matter how many times you come! The cost performance is also great, so please try it out!

I had never tried beef cutlet before, so I decided to give it a try. As you can see, it's a cutlet made of beef! The beef itself seems to absorb a lot of oil, so when eaten as is, it can be quite oily. However, the restaurant had it figured out and served it in a small iron pot to lightly cook it, reducing the greasiness and making it delicious. It was a well-balanced set. It might be good to have occasionally... although the morning after eating it, I felt a bit heavy, but that's to be expected with cutlets, right? (bitter smile)

The ramen shop I wanted to visit was closed, so I visited another shop on a whim! The prices were reasonable and they offered free rice refills, which made me very satisfied! They had a wide variety of ramen types, but personally I didn't find any standout sauces. However, considering the price, I think it's a wonderful shop!

I went to Kyoto Katsugyu for the first time in a while!! There were a few empty seats in the restaurant around lunchtime so we were seated right away. I ordered the beef loin cutlet set!! The meat is served rare and you can cook it to your liking on the hot plate, so you can enjoy it piping hot until the end♪ If you become a member of their LINE group, you can get free refills of miso soup, rice, and cabbage! There is a QR code on the table for easy registration.

Located north of Shinjuku Station West Exit, just past the Oogado, in a bustling area with various dining options, is a restaurant specializing in beef cutlets. I visited for the first time on a Saturday at around 4:30 pm. The interior has around 7-8 counter seats, 7 tables for 2-4 people, and additional counter seats in the middle where tables are joined together. Despite the odd time in the evening, the place was almost full. The menu offers a variety of beef options and portion sizes, including beef cutlet bowls. For my first visit, I opted for the most basic beef cutlet set. The set includes rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The beef cutlet was served rare, allowing customers to cook it on a hot plate to their liking. It was enjoyable to be able to customize the cooking process. The set came with beef cutlet sauce, wasabi soy sauce, and Sansho pepper salt for dipping. I particularly liked the refreshing taste of the wasabi soy sauce. The miso soup was also a nice touch. They accept PayPay for payment. I will definitely come back again because the food was delicious.

After work, around 7 pm. Walking straight on Kotaki Bridge Street towards Okubo, on the left hand side, there is a beef cutlet restaurant. I ordered the beef cutlet set meal (1078 yen) and it arrived promptly in 2-3 minutes. There was an extra piece of cutlet on top of the main one (not sure if it was intended or accidentally placed there, but it made me happy). I really liked the combination of sansho pepper salt and wasabi, so I stuck with that for my meal. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it only cost 1000 yen. You can also order additional cutlets like loin or sirloin separately, which is fun. Although I didn't sign up for the Nekoashi program, by adding the restaurant as a friend on LINE, you can get free refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The person sitting next to me was taking full advantage of this benefit, so becoming friends with them could be even more cost-effective. Among beef cutlet restaurants, I think this one offers good value for money.

Today, I went to my eldest son's wife's first solo exhibition. It was held at the "Jiyucho Gallery" in Koenji Kita, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, as part of a three-day exhibition called "Mofuyori." Her creations as a stuffed animal creator at "BamMof" were all incredibly cute. After visiting the exhibition, my wife and I wanted to have lunch, and she expressed a desire for "gyukatsu" (fried beef cutlet). So, we decided to visit the "Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu Shinjuku Kotakibashi Street Store" in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The restaurant is located along Kotakibashi Street, a branch road of Yasukuni Avenue in Chiyoda Ward, starting at Shinjuku Daiguard Higashi intersection and ending at Asakusabashi intersection in Chuo Ward. The "Gyukatsu Set W" lunch menu we chose was described as follows: "Grill the beef cutlet on a hot plate and enjoy it with wasabi soy sauce. We have added domestic beef fat to make the meat tender. Please make sure to cook it well before eating." This particular dish, along with the "Gyukatsu Set," indicated the use of injected beef, as mentioned in the menu description.Injected beef is a process where fat is injected into tough lean meat to create marbling. Despite some consumers' negative perceptions of injected beef, it is commonly used in beef dishes at family restaurants.

Beef rib loin cutlet set for 1210 yen, all-you-can-eat one bite cutlet for 319 yen (LINE registration campaign). By registering with LINE, you can enjoy half-price all-you-can-eat one bite cutlet for a limited time (until 9/12), with free refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. When you order, you will receive 5 pieces of rib loin cutlet and one bite cutlet. You can compare the taste with three types of condiments: two sauces and one salt. The rib loin cutlet is served rare, and you can grill it on a personal stove to your liking. It is very tender and goes well with wasabi salt. The one bite cutlet, on the other hand, was tougher, possibly due to lower meat quality. I ended up eating a total of 15 pieces, but my jaw got quite tired. The all-you-can-eat option may not be necessary. Additionally, I appreciated the experienced employee who kindly taught the new employee how to take orders. They were considerate, saying "It might be difficult at first." Personally, I dislike stores with intimidating senior employees, so this was a big plus point.

Kyoto Shogu Shinjuku Kotakibashi Street branch, I signed up for LINE and used 590 yen for 290 yen to upgrade to the all-you-can-eat beef cutlet plan from the regular 980 yen set meal. In addition to that, when you register with LINE, you can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage for free, making it essentially 1270 yen (excluding tax) for all-you-can-eat. This is a must-see for big eaters. They offer various sauces like dashi soy sauce, salt and pepper, beef cutlet sauce, ground sesame, and shichimi for flavor variations, along with dressing for the cabbage. The interior of the restaurant is clean and has a sense of cleanliness. Please note that the restroom is currently out of order. The service is attentive, with the manager-like man working efficiently and anticipating customers' needs, allowing us to enjoy our meal with peace of mind. The all-you-can-eat beef cutlet is only available for a limited time, until September 31st if I remember correctly. If you are interested, be sure to check it out soon!
