Good morning. I am Private Tsuchinoko. I felt like having a hot dog, so I came to Tully's @ Ueno. Today, I'm getting takeout. At Tully's, they call hot dogs "Ballpark Dogs." I heard this for the first time haha. There were several types of "Ballpark Dogs," but this time I chose the "Ballpark Dog 7-Spice Butter Chicken Curry"! When I got home and checked the contents, it looked like this! Wow! Looks delicious! I took a bite and... Yum! The curry sauce with 7 spices is fragrant and goes well with the acidity of the tomatoes! Although the name includes "Butter Chicken," I didn't really taste the butter haha. It's my first time trying a curry-flavored hot dog, so it feels fresh. The sausage is juicy, but the curry sauce outshines it. Priced at 490 yen, I think this hot dog is recommended for curry lovers! My former boss from the company I used to work for was visiting Tokyo on a business trip. After a night of drinking, the next morning I met up with two colleagues at Ueno and we successfully reunited. We decided to head to the Tully's at Sakura Terrace near the station. Even though we had just been to Starbucks recently, we were in the mood for another café. They had reserved seats for us, so we ordered our drinks and waited for them to be ready. We each received our drinks and toasted to a successful reunion. I chose an Iced Soy Latte, which was smooth and delicious. I also had a Tuna Cheese Muffin because I hadn't eaten breakfast. The muffin was crispy and delicious, but the inside was a bit cold. We caught up on each other's lives since we hadn't seen each other in 3 years. It was great to see that everyone was doing well.

I want to chat with my friends slowly but I'm full, but I still want something sweet! The cheesecake was delicious, but I think it was cold brew coffee? It was really tasty!! I don't go to Tully's often, but it has a slightly adult and luxurious image. I want to go there more in the future!!

This morning is cold. I stopped by before visiting Ueno Toshogu Shrine in the light rain. The store manager made me a hot latte. It was made very carefully and took time. The female staff and customer service were excellent. I feel very happy from the morning. My favorite is not Starbucks or Doutor, but TULLY'S. This store is the best I've ever been to.

OIMO TEA Shake is a frozen drink that allows you to enjoy the flavor of sweet potatoes with the aroma of Earl Grey tea. Using Earl Grey black tea, a milky shake that fully captures the flavor of sweet potatoes is created, with a sauce that resembles honeyed sweet potatoes added on top.

I had some errands to run in Ueno that day. To adjust my schedule, I stopped by here near the station (Uguisudani exit). It was a weekday evening, but still quite crowded due to some people being on summer break. I thought it was full, but as I was about to leave, a solo or duo customer who had saved a table for four kindly separated it for me, so I quickly secured a spot. Here, I had: - Iced Tea: I didn't want anything fancy like at Starbucks, so I just ordered a simple iced tea. It was served in a cup with a lid that can also be used for hot drinks, not the usual transparent plastic cup. The iced tea was simply delicious. By the way, I've noticed that chain coffee shops don't serve drinks in mugs or glasses for dine-in customers as much as they used to. Thank you for the meal!

Visited Ueno no Mori Sakura Terrace for breakfast and had the Ballpark Dog Plain Set for 559 yen. It had been about 2 and a half years since my last visit. Entered at 7:19 am with 3 customers already inside. I ordered the Ballpark Dog Plain Set and a blend coffee, as I like hot dogs. When I went to pay, they asked if I wanted to upsize, which was a bit annoying. I ordered a blend coffee, but the receipt said Mocha Java??? The hot dog was served with ketchup and mustard on the side to add as much as you like. The buns were chewy and became firm when they cooled down. The sausage was juicy with a slight tanginess. The black coffee was mild with no acidity or bitterness. It was a delicious hot dog after such a long time. Visited for breakfast on June 15, 2022. Rating: 3.05

Tully's Coffee is located on the 1st floor of Ueno Mori Sakura Terrace, in front of Ueno Station's Yamashita exit. It's convenient for meeting up as it has glass windows and is in a great location for going anywhere. There are outlets only at the counter, but there are plenty of seats. I had iced tea in a paper cup with a lid, which was a new way of serving. They have Wi-Fi and sofa seats, so you can relax. I would like to visit again when I come back to Ueno.

It's a convenient location near Ueno's Yamashitaguchi. The interior is spacious, but you can only charge your devices at the counter in the back. When I asked if they could make a tea latte with soy milk, the staff suggested a steamed milk latte, which made me very happy. I highly recommend this Tully's. There are many cafes around Ueno like Starbucks, but I will come back here again.

I planned to grab a quick bite at a standing soba noodle shop before a long drive in the morning, but I ended up passing it without realizing. Since it was too much of a hassle to turn back, I decided to have breakfast at a nearby Tully's where I was renting a car. It was a new store and already had a few customers inside. It had a city vibe to it. I had a hot sandwich and a coffee of the day to check my schedule for the day. I have to drive quite a bit today, but I think I'll manage. Probably... The coffee was espresso-based with a good bitterness that was perfect for the morning. It provided just the right amount of stimulation even the next morning. The weather forecast was calm until today, so I was starting the day with a bright and cheerful mood. (If it weren't for work)

Akihabara → Suidobashi → Ueno, I walked to get around on this day. I walked from my house to the nearest station, so I walked 15 km that day. It was quite a good exercise. I took a break and charged my phone at Tully's. Tully's is convenient because many of their stores have outlets. I ordered the Chocolat Truffe with Today's Coffee (500 yen), which comes with two chocolates. The coffee of the day was Tully's Romance Roast. The Romance Roast is a perfect blend of Guatemala and Costa Rica beans that goes well with chocolate. The chocolates were rum raisin and framboise. At 100 yen per chocolate, the cost performance is not great, but it was just right for a break.

Today's coffee was delicious! Since the start of the pandemic, it has become common to have designated time slots for art exhibitions, but this cafe has become a useful spot for a quick break when visiting the Ueno museums. (It's not empty, but the Starbucks in the park is even more crowded.) Today, I had a hot coffee.

Got off at Ueno Station. Exit from the Shinobazu Exit and turn right, cross the pedestrian crossing, and on the right is a cafe chain store on the 1st floor of "Ueno no Mori Sakura Terrace". On a weekday evening in June 2020, I used it for eating in because a new product from Fuchibearful was released. When you order a designated drink, you can purchase "Fuchibearful". Tully's Coffee has a character called "Bearful" which is a teddy bear plush toy. The original mini figure that can be placed on the edge of a cup, etc., is called "Fuchibearful". When it was released in the second half of 2019, the bears that could be purchased changed every few weeks three times, but this time all three types are available at once. The outer box of Fuchibearful is separately marked as the 1st to 3rd editions, so if the state of emergency had not been declared, it might have been sold in the same way as last time. This time's Fuchibearful is pink, giving the impression of spring. The "3rd edition Flower" with a flower decoration on the bear's head was very cute, so I went to buy it on the day of the Fuchibearful release. It's irresistibly cute... I can't resist it. The designated drinks are all drinks with nata de coco, tapioca topping, or tapioca topping. So, I ordered the limited-time Swirkle (frozen) drink. (excluding tax prices) The ordered items are as follows: Limited-time Mango Tango Nata de Coco Swirkle (S) ¥530 Fuchibearful Flower ¥320 As of writing this review (2020/07/20), the sale of Mango Tango Swirkle has ended, and the sale of Setouchi Lemon Swirkle has started. Mango Tango: A frozen drink with mango flavor topped with strawberry-flavored nata de coco. Since it's a frozen drink, it takes a little time to melt. Surprisingly, strawberries and mangoes go well together. I prefer nata de coco over tapioca, so I hope the nata de coco boom comes back. A few weeks after the above visit, I went to a local Tully's and found that there were still Fuchibearfuls available. Fuchibearfuls and Fumofu Sleeves (an item that fits over a hot drink cup to reduce heat transfer to the hand) sold out on the release date, so maybe there isn't much demand for Fuchi.

After eating, I went to Tully's to have some coffee. It was crowded with foreign tourists, and even after waiting in line, I had to wait quite a bit at the register. I ordered an iced coffee size S for 335 yen. They said they weren't serving water drip coffee today, so I settled for regular iced coffee. It had a good balance of bitterness and a clear taste, which was delicious. I'm a bit disappointed that the water drip and regular iced coffee only had a 5 yen price difference.

Ballpark Dog Plain Set 539 yen Morning @ Ueno Yesterday, it was a cold morning with snow mixed rain, but today it suddenly became warm enough that I didn't need a coat. I had breakfast at this place located in Sakura Terrace, right near JR Ueno Station's Shinobazu Exit. I was lured in by the hot dog sign outside and entered at 7:40 am. The hot dog was delicious, and I feel so happy~ I think I can tackle the day with energy. I enjoyed it so much~ January 29, 2020, used for breakfast.

There's only one Tully's near Ueno Station, so I went there because I had a ticket. It's a bit spacious for a Tokyo Tully's on the first floor of Sakura Terrace. The male staff at the counter was cute and had a nice smile, which made my day (laughs). Even though you don't expect much service from a coffee stand, a good smile really makes a difference. The limited-time melon soda drink was delicious with a mild sweetness, different from melon-flavored shaved ice, which I liked. The watermelon flavor was sold out by noon, but I'll try it next time!

Before work in Ueno, I often stop by for a blissful morning time. When I oversleep, I usually grab a canned coffee, but when I want to enjoy a leisurely "coffee time," it's nice to spend it at a coffee shop! This shop has large windows that let in the sunshine, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere. At the entrance, there are delicious-looking donuts, sandwiches, and more displayed, tempting me to order some as a snack with my coffee. After paying for my drink at the counter and receiving it on a tray, I find a seat myself, and everyone is polite and considerate, enjoying their morning time. It's great that you can choose the size of your coffee here! There is a smoking room at the back of the shop, so it's completely smoke-free in the main area. I savor the delicious donuts, sandwiches, and aromatic coffee before heading to work. I look forward to coming here for my morning energy recharge. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by to adjust my schedule. The cashier was busy, but there were plenty of empty seats, so I was able to relax. It was raining, so it was nice to take a break. I would like to visit again when I need to adjust my schedule. Thank you for the meal!

It takes a really long time to make the food. That's why they can't beat Starbucks.

It's very convenient being close to the station, but it gets extremely crowded on weekends. The wait for food was quite long too. I recommend going on weekdays instead.
