I used it for the second time! Onion 100 yen, delicious asparagus, tasty red pickled ginger, meat skewers, cheese pork okonomiyaki. I ordered the above! They were freshly fried and really delicious! Even if you're full at the second place, you can keep eating! The cabbage appetizer is free to refill, so it's a good snack.

On a late Sunday night around 11:00 PM, I found myself in Shinjuku's Kabukicho. It's not the kind of place I would usually visit at this hour, especially as I've gotten older. So why was I in Shinjuku at this time? Well, it was the final showdown of this year's professional baseball season - the Japan Series at Jingu Stadium. After witnessing the Orix Buffaloes become champions, my friends and I decided to celebrate in Shinjuku. We chose a restaurant called Kushikatsu Tanaka, a place my friend loves and a fitting spot to celebrate a baseball victory from Osaka. Despite the late hour, the restaurant was bustling. We managed to snag seats at the counter and toasted with some draft beer. We ordered a variety of kushikatsu - pork, ham, quail eggs, shrimp, and more. While the kushikatsu at Tanaka may not be extraordinary, they were freshly fried and surprisingly light, allowing us to enjoy quite a few. And of course, we couldn't resist playing the "Chinchirorin" game that came with our meal. It was a night well spent at Kushikatsu Tanaka in the lively Kabukicho of Shinjuku - a reliable spot for satisfying eats anytime, anywhere.

We visited for the second time! Two of us ordered the following: Mega Lemon Sour x 2, Niku-sui (meat skewers) - perfect for sobering up, Ebi Fry x 2, Satsumaimo (sweet potato) x 2. The Satsumaimo was deliciously sweet, although smaller than expected. Overall, we recommend Kushikatsu Tanaka for a drunken night out for cabbage and meat skewers!

Kushikatsu is easy to add on, so you end up eating a lot. The 5-piece set includes pork, beef, onion, shrimp, and lotus root. You can add on items like pork with shiso, pickled ginger, quail eggs, and cod roe. I highly recommend the pickled ginger! It's salty and makes you want to drink more. The crispy texture is irresistible. The medium rare cod roe was also incredibly delicious. Goes really well with alcohol. The sauce is good, but surprisingly soy sauce and tartar sauce also go well and make it enjoyable. The chilled sweet plum sour drink was my favorite! It has a gentle and round sweetness that I loved. The side dish of green peppers was amazing! It's impressive that green peppers taste good with just salt. The smoked horse meat called "saiboshi" was like jerky and had a mild flavor that was quite tasty. If you play Chin Chinro (a drinking game) well, you can drink more cheaply with highballs. It's cheap so it can get noisy, but the kushikatsu is freshly fried, hot, and the alcohol and side dishes are good too. Kushikatsu Tanaka was a great experience.

I went to a restaurant for the skewer day campaign where skewers under 200 yen were only 100 yen. It was after 8 pm and the counter was empty at first, but it started to get crowded as I ate. I waited with a cabbage appetizer and a seasoned egg. I tried various flavors with salt, sauce, and super spicy sauce. I ate a lot of skewers like smelt, potatoes, and pork with shiso.

On Sunday night, feeling like blaming Tanaka with "Are you suffering, Tanaka!" for a silly joke! That's why I visited "Kushikatsu Tanaka" for the first time. I don't drink alcohol, so I haven't had the chance to visit such a place before. When I entered the store, I was guided to the counter at the back. The table seats were available, but seemed reserved. At the counter, it's narrow behind and the staff keeps bumping into you every time they pass by. I ordered the following items: [100 yen skewers] Ginnan, renkon, tamago, negi, shishito, nasubi x2 [120 yen skewers] Quail, beef x2, beni shoga x2, yamaimo ham katsu, tarako shiitake, wiener, liver katsu [150 yen skewers] Corn, pork shiso nitsuke, tamago x2, hanpen mochi, cookie & cream, banana otoshi 250 yen x2 Gyusuji dodote 430 yen Hormone stir-fry 600 yen Yakisoba topped with fried egg 490 yen Kasu udon 640 yen Oolong tea 350 yen x2 Premium beer 399 yen Premium beer large 550 yen Highball 0 yen Total 8498 yen incl. tax I ate a lot, and the bill ended up being quite high. The kushikatsu was all delicious. Although it said no double dipping in the sauce, they provided a fresh one for each group of customers, so no problem with double dipping! Other dishes were tasty too, but the portion sizes were small and the cost performance was so-so. The kasu udon, which the restaurant recommended, was really delicious. It's expensive though. Apparently, there was an all-you-can-eat option starting the next day. All-you-can-eat might be a better cost performance after all. I didn't know when they would play Chinchirorin. Maybe it always ends up with a perfect score? It's nice to visit places like this once in a while. I'll come for the all-you-can-eat next time. Thank you for the meal.

I love kushikatsu. I had the following: - Beef tendon skewer (430 yen) - Stir-fried hormone (600 yen) - Yakisoba with fried egg on top (490 yen) - Katsu udon (640 yen) - Assorted kushikatsu All of them were delicious! I had a great time eating a lot of food.

I visited the restaurant a little after 6:00 pm on a regular day, and there were only a few groups of customers inside. I ordered the "5-item assortment" (691 yen) along with individual items such as "banana" (162 yen), "shrimp" (216 yen), and "oyster" (216 yen). Additionally, there was a cover charge of 259 yen. The cabbage appetizer was refillable. The "5-item assortment" included asparagus, beef katsu skewers, pork katsu skewers, lotus root, and onion. I later realized that ordering individual items would cost the same, so there wasn't much advantage to getting the assortment. Each item had a crispy coating and the flavors of the sauce and coating balanced well. Surprisingly, the slightly bitter coating of the banana paired well with its sweet flavor. The chocolate sauce complemented the coating without feeling out of place. The prices for each item were reasonable, but the portion sizes were small, making the overall impression of the restaurant average for an izakaya.

I wanted to drink cheaply in Shinjuku and decided to visit this place! Perhaps due to its location, it's always crowded... very popular! We enjoyed mainly skewers as snacks while changing our drinks from beer to Chinchirorin! *You roll two dice, and depending on the outcome, the price and quantity of highballs change. Overall, we were satisfied, but the only downside of this place is the narrow aisle... Depending on where you sit, you might get bumped by the staff or customers going to the restroom... Well, considering the cost performance in Shinjuku, it's unavoidable!

We had a fun night starting with yakiniku and ending with kushikatsu! We enjoyed Chinchinro highballs and had a great time. Sometimes we go to high-end kushikatsu places, but this one was good too! We'll definitely go back again! Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

Potato salad: Delicious lotus root, delicious shiitake mushrooms, pork with shiso, average tasty yam, tomato, simmered egg, scallop, pickled ginger is so-so, not bad pork cutlet. Last order 1 hour before closing.

It is easy to enter the store, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. Personally, I give it a high rating. However, there are some areas that need improvement, such as not enough staff and drinks being served a bit slowly. It can also be difficult to call for a waiter.

The taste is consistent, but the interior of the restaurant is too noisy.

The day before yesterday, I got a special effects makeup done at an event ( ´ ▽ ` ) I tried to act young by putting my hair in twin tails and had a lot of fun (lol). And when I went to Tanaka's place, we played a dice game called Chinchirorin♪♪ I got the mega size with odd numbers. The macaroni salad had a curry flavor, and the doten stew was rich and went well with alcohol. Everything was on sale for 100 yen, so I went for the more expensive items (lol). We had kisses, oysters, and even summer corn. Although it wasn't kushikatsu, they had summer dishes like raw water eggplant and namero (fish dish). And guess what! Tanaka-san!! They went smoke-free starting from June (ﾉД`). It was strange to see people smoking and having fun in a casual atmosphere. The Chinchirorin was great, but some customers were still smoking. I didn't mind because I'm not a smoker.
