I went to Hakata Gekijo with 8 drinking buddies. This chain restaurant offers a large size drink for the price of a regular one if you download their app, which is quite a good deal. Personally, I wouldn't choose this place when organizing an event, but I realized it's a good option for young colleagues as it's budget-friendly. The food is average in taste, so it's suitable for those who aren't too picky about their meals and just want to drink. They also have days where gyoza is half price, so it might be worth going on those days. I'll try bringing some young colleagues there next time.笑

It's Sunday, so I visited the restaurant for the 6th time. I made a reservation the day before and asked for the birthday dumplings, which were delicious and I finished them quickly. The rest of the dishes were consistent as usual. The new menu item, the black pork ginger, was okay. It seems like the restaurant is experimenting with seasonal limited-time menus. I appreciate the effort put into creating new dishes. Thank you.

I visited on Gyoza Day, the 13th of the month. It was Sunday at 6:30 pm, and there were a few empty seats. Becoming a member on the app offers perks like free appetizers, a free upsize on the first drink, and overall good value for the delicious food. I often visit this place because of the good food and cost-effectiveness. On Gyoza Day, other restaurants can be crowded and slow to serve, but this place was quick in providing the food. Maybe because there are fewer seats on one floor? As always, I enjoyed the delicious food.

I made a reservation over the phone for Sunday and visited the restaurant. The first floor was fully booked, but the second floor was about half full. I was seated on the second floor. As usual, I ordered skewers, gyoza, and mentaiko motsunabe. They all tasted the same as always, which was good.

Whenever I'm lost on where to eat, I always come here. I recommend the Hakata-style motsunabe and grilled gyoza. The seasonal and monthly menu items are always delicious. The single cup wine is also nice and easy to enjoy. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On Sunday night in Shinbashi, I think there are less than half as many open restaurants compared to weekdays. So, I chose this reliable restaurant. The limited-time new menu, the crispy frank, was delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice and quiet compared to weekdays.

This was my third visit. There were several new menu items, including pea shoot pork rolls, small horse mackerel nanban-zuke, shrimp mayo sticks, and real pointed corn. They were all very delicious. I was impressed that they are always coming up with new menu items. I hope the small horse mackerel nanban-zuke and pea shoot pork rolls become regular menu items.

This is a popular izakaya. They don't have salad on the menu, but they serve salted kombu cabbage as a complimentary appetizer. You can have as many refills as you want. I really like their gyoza and Hakata mentaiko hot pot. It can get crowded with salarymen on weekdays, but it's relatively easy to get a table on weekends and the food is served quickly. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I revisited the restaurant and had the mentaiko motsunabe, thick-cut bacon gratin, iron pot mentaiko tamago, and fried chicken. This time, I opted for the medium size motsunabe. The mentaiko was delicious with plenty of it in the dish. It's best enjoyed when it's melted.

While strolling around Shinbashi, I stumbled upon a great restaurant. I tried various dishes and everything was deliciously prepared. I highly recommend the motsunabe, it was rich and flavorful with the melted mentaiko. I didn't try the gyoza this time.

We had salted kombu cabbage, meat and tofu, and Hakata iron pot dumplings for two as appetizers. We also had two large glasses of highball. The salted kombu cabbage was delicious with just the right amount of salt. It was great that we could have seconds. The meat and tofu had a gentle flavor, perfect for the cold winter season. It was a bit difficult to eat with chopsticks, though. The dumplings were bite-sized and easy to eat. They were juicy and well-seasoned, especially delicious with yuzu pepper. If they were a bit cheaper, we would definitely come back often.

The keywords for the restaurant name are "yatai," "Hakata," and "theater." Honestly, none of these keywords really fit, giving more of a general lively izakaya impression. I lived in Hakata for a long time, so that aspect is a bit annoying. Well, as you drink and get drunk, you stop caring about that kind of thing. The menu lineup, of course, but if you're going to talk about Hakata, I want the flavors to match too. It's completely Kanto-style seasoning. To truly enjoy Hakata's flavors, you have to be willing to spend some money, so I hope they create a low-cost option to enjoy it! The food was delicious and the service was good at this restaurant!

Today I went for a quick drink in Shinbashi~♪ I actually wanted to go to Drum Can, but for some reason it was closed... So I ended up here next door. I was seated at the counter and had:
- Cabbage appetizer. I had a membership card sticker on my PASMO for a free appetizer, but I accidentally returned it when I got a replacement due to a defect.
- Toro Taku Yukke for 380 yen. The tube-like Negitoro looked a bit mushy, but for the price, it was good. It had quail eggs in it, making it quite wet. It was wrapped in seaweed, and you could get free refills of seaweed. You can also save on the Toro Taku by eating it with seaweed and soy sauce.
- Kawa Yaki, a specialty of the Kyushu restaurant. It was my first time trying grilled skin, which was a bit chewy. The sauce was delicious, but my friend said the real deal is when the skin is crispy after the fat has been cooked off.
- Niku Tofu, with a sweet sauce that soaked into the tofu perfectly. It was just right when you ate it with the tofu's natural flavor.
For drinks, I had a salt lemon sour followed by a large jug of iced tea highball. The jug was supposed to be 1 liter, but it was so heavy that my arm got tired...
When I entered, there were two young staff members, a man and a woman. The guy in the kitchen was handling everything efficiently - grilling dumplings, skewers, and other dishes. It was satisfying to watch. Thank you for the meal!

Hakata Gekijou is a great restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and everything I ordered had mentaiko in it, which was delicious. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable. I wish there was one near where I live, it's a great place for everyday dining.

Located in Shinbashi, this Kyushu cuisine izakaya offers authentic Kyushu dishes at reasonable prices. Unlike many high-end Kyushu restaurants, this place has a casual izakaya atmosphere which is great for a relaxed dining experience. They serve dishes like motsunabe, gyoza, oden, and sesame mackerel, all of which are of high quality compared to typical izakaya fare. Highly recommended for those who appreciate quality food.

Today, I was with my child and we were attracted by a prominent sign on a side street, leading us to this shop! This shop specializes in Hakata from Kyushu. We started with beer and orange juice for the child. The glasses were large, making it a bit difficult to drink, but the friendly staff, especially the kind waitress, made us feel welcome with their bright smiles. The food was delicious, with a potato salad filled with mentaiko, and fried gyoza skins served on top. The chicken cutlet came with plenty of cabbage and a soft-boiled egg inside, showing attention to detail despite the reasonable prices. The grilled chicken with green onions was my favorite, seasoned with sesame oil and salt. Every dish was a hit, and I was happy to learn that by downloading the app and becoming a member, I could receive a special birthday offer of gyoza equal to my age at any of their 40 locations. I would definitely like to visit again. This is a restaurant run by hardworking young staff.

I went with friends! The staff were all smiling, cheerful, and energetic! We had a great time feeling very comfortable there. The specialty gyoza was delicious, satisfying both our stomachs and hearts. It's a fun izakaya where you can enjoy good food. When we left, the staff even saw us off outside, making us feel the warmth of the people at the restaurant. I will definitely go back!

The newly opened restaurant has a welcoming entrance where the staff greets customers as they enter. We started with a Hoppy set for 432 yen and a serving of salted cabbage with dried seaweed for 324 yen. We also ordered fried ginkgo nuts for 302 yen and 2 pieces of asparagus wrapped in thin pork belly for 388 yen. The asparagus wrap was nicely crispy and cooked to our liking. Lastly, we had a sudachi sour for 410 yen. Overall, I think the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable for a fun night out.
