Ikebukuro East Exit store is located across from the police box after exiting Ikebukuro Station East Exit. Due to its location, it is always crowded with many people passing by. I used to use the Ikebukuro East Exit store occasionally as I commuted through Ikebukuro Station every day. Today, I felt like having a coffee on my way back from the salon, so I went there. It was as crowded as ever. After paying, I went to the second floor, but it was full, so I went to the third floor. Luckily, a seat opened up and I sat there. It was quite busy on a Sunday, so I left after about 10 minutes. The staff seemed busy but were kind. Thank you for the meal.

In my 20s, I used to go to McDonald's often. As I got older, the frequency decreased and I hardly went there recently. However, after going twice last month, my McDonald's craving suddenly came back, and this time I got takeout again. I bought the "Samurai Mac - Seared Soy Sauce Flavored Bacon Tomato Thick Beef." With the impressive performance of Samurai Japan in the WBC, I am hoping to channel that energy. I am curious to know if the sales of "Samurai Mac" have increased due to the success of Samurai Japan. When you open it, you can smell the savory scent of seared soy sauce flavored sauce and smoked bacon. Under the sesame seed-studded buns are seared soy sauce flavored sauce, sliced onion, tomato slices, lettuce, two slices of smoked bacon, beef patty, white cheddar cheese, and seared soy sauce flavored sauce. Samurai Mac has a generous amount of meat sandwiched in it. Each bite releases juicy beef patty with a perfect touch of seared soy sauce flavored sauce. With two slices of bacon, there is a satisfying meaty bite. The crispy lettuce, onion, and juicy tomato flavors all blend together to make a delicious burger.

When it gets late at night, many stores start to close, so having a 24-hour operation is really convenient. I used the second-floor seating, but it was being cleaned at the time. The staff cleaning were polite and used nice language, which was unexpected for a late-night fast food place. It was cheap, filling, had Wi-Fi, and a good place to kill time. Overall, I was very satisfied. The only downside was the smell in the second-floor space, so the atmosphere was pretty bad in that regard. But for 590 yen, I can't complain! The fries were delicious too.

It's been a while since I visited McDonald's for their limited time Samurai Mac burger. The garlic cut potato and thick beef patty are delicious! This limited time menu is to my liking, with the thick beef patty, crispy cut potato patty, and savory soy sauce-like sauce. It also has a spicy garlic sauce with chili pepper and coarse black pepper. I hope they make this a regular item or bring it back regularly! And the Filet-O-Fish is unbeatable. The chocolate shake is not bad either.

On Friday, the Odakyu Line stopped halfway and I couldn't get home because the JR line was already closed. I searched and found out that Shinjuku closes at 2 AM, so I hurried to Ikebukuro which was still open. Only the 3rd floor seating was available. There were single men and women who missed the last train, couples, and friends. Some people were sleeping, and I also got sleepy. It was a long 3 and a half hours. I had iced tea and hot milk tea to stay awake. But I managed to get through it.

When we went to get vaccinated last year, we decided to have lunch in Ikebukuro. We chose to visit a place called Samurai Mac, which we had never been to before. The entrance was dirty, and the restaurant was quite crowded. I ordered the Samurai Mac set, while my wife ordered the Eguchi set. The Samurai Mac burger was huge, and the taste of the "seared soy sauce" sauce was strong, followed by the intense flavor of raw onions. It was too much for me, but I managed to finish it to avoid going against my parents' teachings. Overall, I realized that I should stick to the Eguchi burger at McDonald's. After the meal, we headed to get vaccinated.

There is a McDonald's located in front of the East Exit of Ikebukuro Police Box. Despite the high land prices, the store is small and cannot accommodate many people in line. However, the staff at the counter seem to be veterans, serving customers quickly and efficiently to minimize wait times. I purchased the Fillet-O-Fish (single item, tax included 340 yen) and the Double Cheeseburger value lunch (600 yen), which I crave every few years. The bread is soft and fluffy, almost like a feather duvet. The tartar sauce inside is delicious, and I finished the Fillet-O-Fish in no time. The large fries and medium Coca-Cola that came with the set are always tasty. I ate the food at home, so the fries were a bit soggy, but the saltiness was just right. I love McDonald's.

Today, I went to Ikebukuro, where McDonald's releases their annual Tsukimi Burger. After having a few drinks in Ikebukuro, I headed to McDonald's to try the Tsukimi Burger, even though I couldn't see the moon in the night sky. When I arrived at the McDonald's in the west exit, I saw a long line stretching outside. Feeling a bit tipsy, I decided not to join that line. I remembered there was another McDonald's at the east exit, so I headed there instead. Luckily, there were only a few people waiting to order at this location, so I got in line. The place is located on the right side across the rotary after exiting the central east exit of Ikebukuro Station, next to stores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi. It was close to 8 pm when I arrived, and there were annoying catchers loitering in front of the store, making it difficult for customers to enter. I ordered the Tsukimi Burger, the Fluffy Tsukimi Burger, and a small cola at the counter. When I was about to go up the stairs with my tray, I noticed that they had given me a Cheese Tsukimi Burger instead of one of the regular Tsukimi Burgers. I explained the mistake at the counter, and they quickly replaced it with the correct burger. Despite my irritation, the staff seemed unfazed by the mix-up. As I climbed the stairs to the third floor, I sipped on my cola to calm down and then tried the Tsukimi Burger. It tasted too sweet for my liking, and the egg's creaminess felt off. Next, I tried the new Fluffy Tsukimi Burger, which seemed smaller and less impressive. The staff on this floor seemed to be lacking in cleanliness and attention to detail, unlike the ones at the counter. In the end, I left the restaurant feeling disappointed and a bit gloomy. Fortunately, the catchers were gone by then, which was a small relief.

McDonald's restaurants are also closing their eat-in spaces in various locations. The new coronavirus is truly fearsome. How much will it change the norms we are used to? When I got hungry in Ikebukuro, even though there were fewer people than usual, there were fewer open restaurants, so it was crowded. Ikebukuro and Shinjuku have more people than Shibuya. There are some shopping streets near the bed town that are quite lively. There are also people in the world who need to work. You can also reserve and buy at McDonald's with an app, so there are business models where efforts pay off. I ordered a seared soy sauce-style double thick beef burger for takeout. I ate it outside under the sun, and it paired perfectly with Asahi's non-alcoholic beer. The thick beef and non-alcoholic beer were a perfect match. I felt so cozy that I didn't want to go home right away!

McDonald's coffee is delicious. The medium hot coffee is only 100 yen right now, but since it was a bit hot, I got the medium iced coffee instead, which costs 150 yen. However, the downside of McDonald's iced coffee is that there is too much ice. I was planning to order it without ice next time to get more coffee, but I forgot again. I'll make sure to remember next time.

McDonald's Ikebukuro Higashi-guchi store occupies the first, second, and third floors of the Sun Palace Building, a mixed-use building near Ikebukuro Station East Exit. I visited for a quick break and chose a small vanilla milkshake for 120 yen at the first-floor register. The seating area on the second and third floors can be accessed by narrow and steep stairs next to the building's mailbox. Since the second floor was full, I went up to the third floor. The counter seats on the third floor were a bit worn out, but they had power outlets available. The vanilla milkshake was just right in sweetness and aroma, allowing me to relax for a moment.

This is a McDonald's located about a 3-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro. As expected in the bustling city of Ikebukuro, the place was crowded with people of all ages, genders, and foreign tourists. I ordered the limited-time Triangle Choco Pie Cookie & Cream (¥150, ¥140 with app coupon) and a Premium Roast Hot Coffee S (¥100). Despite the crowd, I was able to find a seat as there were two floors available (though seats with power outlets were full). I have tried various series of the Triangle Choco Pie in the past, and this one had a good texture with thin and hard layers of pie crust. Inside, the vanilla cream with a hint of milk flavor and Oreo cookies complemented each other well and tasted delicious. Of course, it paired perfectly with the hot coffee. I later realized that McDonald's was offering a free hot coffee promotion for 4 days, from 2 pm to 9 pm. I arrived around 1:40 pm, so I missed out on the free coffee by about 20 minutes. Well, the coffee was only ¥100, so it's not a big deal.

I went in the early morning. The vegetables were old and the lettuce was brown. It was crowded even with mobile orders, so it was a disappointing start to the day. This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

I went to McDonald's on a Saturday in August. I bought and ate a Moon Viewing Burger set. It was delicious as always. The service from the staff was also great as usual. (^^)

It's still crowded as usual. If you're just planning to stay for the time it takes to drink one shake, you should be able to manage.
