すずき あすか
My first time at Shabu Shabu Onyasai. I arrived with 4 acquaintances at 8:00 pm. I made a reservation a few days ago, but it was only available for 8:00 pm as it was fully booked for 7:00 pm. We opted for the 2-hour all-you-can-eat course of "Selected Beef and Pork," which is a popular choice. For the special hot pot, we chose "Mizutaki," and for the regular broth, we chose "Japanese Beef broth" (you can choose from 4 options each). The pot is divided into two sections in the middle, allowing you to cook and eat in your preferred broth. It was nice that they used IH instead of gas stoves, as it kept the area clean and safe. Since I hadn't eaten much that day, I started by eating a lot of vegetables. I enjoyed a variety of Japanese vegetables such as cabbage, onions, carrots, leeks, and cilantro. The leeks required more space to cook, and with the divided pot, it was a bit challenging to manage the space, but I managed to enjoy both the vegetables and meat. Both the vegetables and meat were delicious. Even though they had ponzu sauce for the Mizutaki, you have to request the sesame sauce separately. It took a while for the sesame sauce to arrive after we asked for it, which was a bit disappointing, but the other vegetable and meat dishes arrived promptly. For dessert, each person could choose one item. I had almond tofu, while the others had only ice cream options. It would be nice to have more dessert choices on the menu. The almond tofu was very soft and tasty. However, the dessert arrived at the same time as the main course, so those who ordered ice cream had to eat it first. The almond tofu didn't melt, so we could save it for last. There were plenty of side dishes available, and I tried the quail egg seasoned with soy sauce, which was also delicious. There were curry options as well, but we were focused on the hot pot, so we didn't try them. If I have the chance, I would like to explore more of the side dishes on my next visit.
