Kurenai Ton has opened a new store in Okachimachi. I was so captivated by the bright Kurenai Ton logo on the outdoor sign that I completely forgot to take a photo of the food. Inside the store, there are traditional Kurenai Ton signs displayed, adding a playful touch to the atmosphere. I visited on the last day of their half-price drink promotion, which was a lucky coincidence. I ended up ordering a drink with my liver and tongue skewers, and my bill ended up being higher than expected. Nevertheless, I am a big fan of Kurenai Ton, so it was worth it. This is my second time trying Kurenai Ton in Okachimachi, as there used to be a franchise store a few years ago. This time, it is a directly operated store. It's convenient that they serve drinks starting from noon on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today's casual drink was in Okachimachi. It was a hard day. I finished my work in Osaka Minami in the morning, and had work in Tokyo in the early evening. Since I have work in the Kanto region tomorrow, I decided to stay in Ueno today. Naturally, I decided to go out for a light drink. Walking around Ameyoko with a tall can in hand. Maybe because of the Asakusa Sanja Matsuri, there are so many people. Come to think of it, last week when I came it was the Kanda Myojin Festival. I avoided the crowded streets like rush hour and found a striking neon sign on a street one block to the east. Wasn't Kurenai Ton-san a popular restaurant near Yaesu? I was drawn in by the Showa retro atmosphere and visited for the first time. The table seats were full, so I sat in a small corner near the entrance. This seat is nice. I can enjoy a leisurely drink alone with my back to the lively group (laughs). First, I ordered black Hoppy. As for the side dish... I'll go with the Hatsu Koi (pork liver sashimi) and Gatsupon. The friendly staff quickly brought me my drink and food. Sip, it stings. However, when I come to Tokyo, I always seem to be drinking Hoppy (≧▽≦). I take a bite of the liver sashimi. Hmm, this is quite good. It has a crispy texture similar to Hatsu, with a strong liver flavor following. The sesame, salt, and garlic punch are irresistible. I eat the gatsu. The gatsu has no smell, and the crunchy texture is enjoyable (^o^)v Alright, if this taste is good, I can expect other dishes to be good too. I order another drink and add grilled dishes. Grilled Toro (fatty meat) and Tsukune (chicken meatballs) with salt. The Toro is delicious at a normal level. It's called toro, but I don't really feel the fat. The tsukune was a bit disappointing. I was expecting cartilage, but it was just regular tsukune. But the taste is not bad. I'll order Nakao (tender meat), Harami (skirt meat), and Tsurami (gizzard) next. I ordered them grilled with salt, but they were brought to me grilled with sauce. It's not what I ordered, but I'll forgive the friendly waitress (^^) I take a bite. Oh! The grilled with sauce is delicious!! Especially the grilled gizzard with sauce is super delicious (^o^)v Soft, juicy, thank you for the mistake, waitress, (≧▽≦) I thought about drinking a little more, but I have to get up early tomorrow. 3 glasses of Hoppy, 6 dishes, I'll stop here. It came to 2035 yen, it was a cheap and delicious restaurant. As I walk and look at the receipt, I notice that one Nakao is not listed. JR Okachimachi Station North Exit is a 2-minute walk away, located on the Ueno Okachimachi Chuo Street. The open-style interior of the restaurant mainly consists of table seats, with some counter seats as well. The spacious layout provides ample seating. I visited Ueno Shrine for the first time in a while. After paying my respects, I decided to have a drink in Ueno or Akihabara. I chose to go to Ueno. The popular restaurants in Ueno were crowded, so I tried to find a less crowded place. I found a place called "Kurenai Ton" where there were no other customers. I started with a Hoppy set and ordered Ham Katsu, liver with green onions, Harami with sauce, and added Tsukune. They were all decent. The balance between price and quality was acceptable. The service was average, and overall, I think it's a good place for casual dining, but there may not be a strong reason to specifically visit this restaurant in Ueno.

I visited a yakitori restaurant near Ueno Station for my second stop. I sat at a table and ordered the restaurant's specialty dishes from the menu. I chose Harami, Kashiwa, and Onion Slices from the skewer menu. We cheers again with various highball drinks before the food arrives. The Onion Slices were served first, topped with plenty of bonito flakes. The crunchy texture of the mild onions paired well with a little soy sauce. The Harami was tender, while the Kashiwa had a good chewy texture. The skewers were grilled over charcoal, giving them a delicious smoky flavor. We also enjoyed a generous portion of salted edamame. Overall, we had a relaxing time enjoying the signature skewers at this casual yakitori restaurant. It was time to head back home, so we caught the train back to Tochigi Prefecture. Please note that individual tastes may vary, so be sure to try it for yourself.

This shop, located in the bustling Ameyoko area of Ueno, is surrounded by unique stores, yet it offers a sense of absolute comfort as a chain restaurant. The yakitori is consistently good, with a well-balanced selection of dishes. It's easy to find yourself wanting to have one more drink before heading home. Enjoy some grilled dishes with a strong Hoppy drink, and finish off with some beef hormone tofu. It's a great way to warm up on a cold day. This restaurant is kind to your wallet, and the staff are highly skilled, making it a comforting place to dine.

I aimed for the Hamukatsu Triangle area in Ueno, but it was crowded with seniors on holiday. I was in a dilemma because I wanted to drink and my friend had an early schedule. So, I chose a safe option. By safe, I mean a restaurant with decent quality. I ordered potato salad and simmered dish, which were really comforting. The simmered dish had a rich soy sauce flavor that masked any unpleasant taste, making it a good drinking snack with less oil. The potato salad was creamy and not bad. The tofu dish, seasoned with a flavor similar to doubanjiang, was extremely delicious. Serving tofu dishes without any excess moisture is impressive. It's important to have a go-to restaurant for such situations.

Located just outside the A7 exit of Ueno Okachimachi station, the roast pork chain "Kurenai Ton" Ueno Okachimachi store was my third visit, and as always, it was cheap and generous in portion. Plus, being so close to the station is great. What surprised me in a good way this time was that they had divided the long table for six into three tables for two with simple partitions... It's like they are making an effort or something. Thank you for the meal~

I use it once a month. The main dish is definitely grilled pork! Both salt and sauce are delicious. I think the main store is in Nihonbashi. I'm hooked on the hidden gem "negima-mire" (laughs). The balance between customers and staff is good right after opening, but as the night goes on, the inside of the restaurant gets busy, truly embodying the atmosphere of a common grilled pork restaurant. I apologize to non-smokers, but this is a smoking-friendly restaurant, so smoking is allowed at the tables!

On the way back from eating at the oden restaurant with my friend, we discovered a second spot called Tansu Sake where we enjoyed delicious fried burdock, which we love. We would love to visit again. It was a great meal at a good price. Thank you!

I wish they had Ichiban Shibori beer, but most izakayas serve Super Dry. The pork liver sashimi is delicious, but other menu items are so-so. The restaurant is spacious, making it easy to get a table, and they accept PayPay and credit cards, which is convenient.

I tried the red pork cheek for the first time and it was crispy on the outside with a juicy sensation inside. (・⊝・)

I casually walked in alone. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend the "Hatsu Koi" dish.

We used this restaurant for a daytime year-end party. There were 8 of us, but the table we were assigned was very small, and the 2 people on the end were almost overflowing from the table while sitting. The food was delicious, but I felt that it may not be suitable for large groups. Thank you for the meal.
