I used this restaurant for a company drinking party the other day. It was a fresh experience for me as I don't often drink in Shinjuku West Exit! We ordered shabu-shabu! The Kobe beef, black wagyu shoulder loin, and beef tongue were all very satisfying in terms of volume and taste! I always thought shabu-shabu was expensive, but the cost performance was very good and I felt great! There were also other options like simmered giblets and seared yukhoe, so I had a hard time choosing haha. There were a variety of drinks like sake, shochu, wine, etc., and I ended up getting a little tipsy haha. The staff were friendly and we were able to order without waiting. The drinks and food didn't take too long to arrive. The seating was spacious and we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace! Starting with beer. Seared Kobe beef sushi, a large piece of meat covering the rice. The lightly seared taste is nice. The finely chopped green onions on top add richness to the flavor. We quickly finish it and order a highball. Japanese-style salad with lettuce, green onions, and shredded red chili pepper, a salad that goes well with the meat. Then I had a few cups of sake. Seared Kobe beef yukhoe, a well-balanced dish. The onions are slightly spicy. I broke the egg yolk, mixed it, and ate it. Hot pot Kobe beef shabu-shabu meat assortment including beef tongue, Kobe beef red meat, and black beef loin, as well as one rare cut of meat. A set of various vegetables is also included. And then the main dish, Kobe beef shabu-shabu. The three types of meat - beef tongue, shoulder loin, and inner thigh - are served, along with the rare Zabuton cut. I start with the beef tongue shabu-shabu. Each cut has its own unique characteristics, so it's interesting to compare them. They are all delicious, but I think Zabuton is the best. I went to Shabu Shabu Shinjuku-san, a restaurant located on the 3rd floor of a building a short walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station. It's about a 2-3 minute walk from the station, right near the west exit. The restaurant offers a space where you can enjoy shabu shabu, with many private rooms available. This time, I made a reservation for the 【Banquet -Gorgeous-】 course for 6500 yen with all-you-can-drink option. I ordered beer for the all-you-can-drink, and it was satisfying and kept coming. The food mainly consisted of meat dishes such as seared Kobe beef yukhoe, seared Kobe beef sushi, and black wagyu beef mixed rice, all of which were delicious. Each dish paired well with the drinks, and I ended up eating too much because everything was so good. The service from the staff was excellent, and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably. The restaurant had a private atmosphere, and I enjoyed not only the food but also the ambiance.
