It seems to be popping up here and there, but I had no idea and tried it for the first time after a flower arrangement class. First, we had tea and since there were 4 of us, we decided to go for "shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat" at a place one block away. I thought I would pick up a special pork cutlet sandwich in Akashi yesterday and was planning to get it in the evening, but I was told, "Tomorrow is a holiday so we are closed," which left me quite disappointed. The shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat experience was quite different from what I had experienced at client company year-end parties in Akasaka, Hanzomon, and Ikebukuro. The warm vegetables before the shabu-shabu were all uniquely prepared and not bad at all! I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I didn't try the kimchi, but I really liked the baked potatoes and peanut sprouts. The peanut sprouts are actually bean sprouts with beans as big as peanuts, hence the name. The cucumber with spicy cod roe was too spicy for me, but the refreshing taste was pleasant! The foie gras and sesame tofu, black sugar edamame were also delicious, and there were other items like edamame, Korean seaweed, appealing to K-pop fans maybe? I left the ordering to everyone today, so it was an "I'll try everything" day, but items like lettuce natto and meat miso turnip seasonal vegetables seemed quite good. All you can eat, as many times as you want! The shabu-shabu menu had a wide variety of vegetables, from the standard ones like Chinese cabbage and leeks to daikon radish, carrots, onions, green onions, chives, watercress, chicory, bean sprouts, lettuce, cabbage, mizuna, garlic chives, and more. There were also mushrooms like shiitake, maitake, enoki, shimeji, tofu, maroni, and as hot pot ingredients, there were water dumplings, toppogi, yuba, tofu skin, aburaage, hanpen, shirataki, and rice cakes. There was also thick omelette, which was a bit of a question mark for me. In any case, the warm vegetables lived up to their name with a parade of domestic vegetables! And all you can eat, unbelievable value for money! The recommended 2-hour all-you-can-eat Andes highland pork (loin and kalbi with chicken thigh for 2814 yen) came with additional bamboo tube chicken balls and shiso-scented plum balls. There were three types of balls, including basil cheese Italian balls. As a feature of the warm vegetables, in addition to the aforementioned K-pop items, there was an Italian taste, or should I say, a tomato-based broth, and the suggestion of finishing with cheese risotto. If it's cheese risotto, the balls might be the basil "Italian balls"! Will the Italian twist on shabu-shabu appeal to women? The fact that there are many fruit-based sours like white peach sours in the drinks also indicates a high female ratio. My friend, who became a regular at warm vegetables after giving up on making a reservation last Friday until 8:30 pm, said it was lucky to be there on the spring equinox. Weekdays are packed with working girls having a drink after work. Even though it was an early time at 5:30 pm, there were already 3 girls and 2 couples in the restaurant, and we filled the place. The place has a turnover every 2 hours, so one group ===========
