Shabu Sen, which was located in the Ginza Core Building, has moved to EXIT MELSA. The majority of reviewers post during the day, so I decided to visit at night. This popular restaurant in Ginza offers a system where you can enjoy shabu-shabu and sukiyaki alone. It is known for its high-quality beef under the ZAKURO HOLDINGS group. Additionally, the prices are reasonable, making it a must-visit. Since it is a counter-only restaurant, visiting alone is not a problem. There are many staff members in the restaurant, providing attentive service, which is impressive. The menu consists of set courses, and I chose the Shabu-Shabu course with 100g of black wagyu beef and 50g of domestic pork for 6,820 yen. The A5 class beef is only available at night, making it a highlight. The A3 class beef in the lunch menu is decent in quality and affordable, but for a more delicious and reasonable option, visiting at night is recommended. The set course includes appetizers (choose one from three options), the main meat, vegetables, a side dish (choose from rice, porridge, or noodles, with refills available), and dessert. Drinks are not included in the set price. I always choose the mozuku vinegar for the appetizer, as I like to refresh my palate before eating the fatty meat. The main meat, as mentioned earlier, is a total of 150g of A5 beef and pork, with the beef being of high quality and comparable to other premium restaurants. The marbling and sweetness of the fat are exquisite, making it worth the price of around 4,000 yen per piece. The pork was average but served its purpose in between bites of the beef. One of the highlights of Shabu Sen is their original sesame sauce, which is rich and flavorful with a spicy kick when mixed with the chili oil on the table. The finishing touch of noodles in the broth used for the shabu-shabu is exceptional. For dessert, I had zenzai and ice cream since they were out of pumpkin pudding. Eating all of this will leave you quite full, so if you want to enjoy delicious and affordable shabu-shabu, I recommend visiting Shabu Sen at night. The lunch menu is also enjoyable for around 2,000 yen, but the A5 rank meat at night will elevate your satisfaction even more!

<Mini solo exhibition at Bar Yunagi until 9/23> Lucky story of cutting through the line and enjoying shabu-shabu lunch on 8/24. On the opening day of Shabu-sen's relocation, I arrived a bit later at 11:00 as I wasn't too hungry, only to be told by the staff at the entrance of EXITMELA on the 8th floor that there was a long line of 30 people waiting... As I didn't have time to wait, I was about to leave when I unexpectedly ran into Kira Kira-san ✨ "You're late," joked the dog, and they kindly let me share a table with them. The large circular shabu-shabu space was magnificent. The average age seemed quite high even for Ginza, with long-time fans all around. I opted for the service lunch where you can enjoy both beef and pork. The freshly sliced meat was brought to the table at a good pace with the slicer in the middle. We threw all the vegetables into the pot (roughly). Once cooked, you can enjoy the meat however you like. I personally prefer a refreshing sauce, but the rich sesame sauce was also excellent. I chose porridge as my rice dish, trying to lighten the load on my digestive system after eating meat. They recommended sugar, but it was fine as it was. The meal was complete with sherbet. I chatted with Kira Kira-san about various things in the city once again. The conversation never ends. I wonder what will happen next... Thank you for the meal. I was moved by a Voicy channel looking back on a post from 4 years ago. The person has been sharing content every day, and while they were already a professional speaker back then, they seemed quite nervous in the new format of solo radio storytelling or audio media, and it was quite risky to land within the time constraints. After 4 years, they have evolved into a wonderful style that fully grasps the significance of sharing content through audio media, speaking fluently. They give me courage every morning at 7:00, and I have overcome countless days because of it. As someone who shares content daily, I will continue to strive to improve my performance as a presenter, looking back on it. Where should I go tomorrow?

First Visit 2308 (No.4751) 1. Purpose of Visit - Heard that the popular "Shabu Sen" in Ginza has finally relocated and reopened, so visited to check it out (^_-)-☆ 2. Shop Information - Genre on Tabelog: Shabu-shabu, Sukiyaki - Relocated and reopened on August 24, 2023, across from "Ginza Core" due to the redevelopment of Ginza Core, which opened in 1971 - A more affordable version of the high-end shabu-shabu restaurant "Zakuro," which was founded in Akasaka in 1955 - A "solo dining only" restaurant with all counter seats ♡♡♡ - The shop has been popular for over 40 years, and at its peak, it had another store on a different floor (5F?) in the same Ginza Core building - Prior to relocation, it was a popular restaurant with a Tabelog rating of 3.50 and 290 reviews - Business hours: [Weekdays] 11:00-16:30, 17:00-22:00 [Weekends/Holidays] 11:00-22:00 - Closed during year-end and New Year holidays, and subject to facility closure - Seating capacity: 65 seats - System of taking a numbered ticket to wait in line 3. Crowdedness and Atmosphere on the Day - Arrived at 11:02 on a weekday, with 12-3 customers already seated and 5-6 customers waiting - Due to operational issues, had to wait around 10 minutes before being seated - Upon leaving at 12:05, the restaurant was full with 10 people waiting outside - Despite downsizing from 85 to 65 seats from the previous Ginza Core location, the new shop is efficiently designed for serving and service, with a lot of cleanliness ♡ 4. Service - Since it was the first day, the service seemed a bit inexperienced 5. Order Items - Draft beer: 880 yen - Service Lunch B: 3,300 yen [Domestic beef rib roast (70g) + pork loin (70g), choice of appetizer, dessert, vegetable assortment, choice of rice or red bean porridge or Chinese noodles] *Unlimited rice or red bean porridge or Chinese noodles *Ponzu, sesame sauce, grated daikon, green onions, salt, pepper - Appetizer: Asparagus tofu - Tomato salad was also an option, but chose the above item - The beef and pork were satisfactory, with the sesame sauce being a highlight - Ordered red bean porridge & chilled Chinese noodles & Chinese noodles for the meal - The dessert, kuzukiri, was delicious as always, and they even provided new chopsticks, which was a nice touch 6. Summary - The quality of the meat depends on the price paid, but the appetizers and desserts are similar to those at "Zakuro" but at a more affordable price, making it a great place to visit (#^^#) If you haven't been to "Zakuro" or want to enjoy a budget-friendly meal, be sure to order the "Service Lunch B" <(_ _)> Even with this lunch, you can get a taste of their offerings, so (laughs) Thank you for the meal. ===========

The Ginza Core Building is scheduled for redevelopment due to aging, so the restaurant will be temporarily closed. It has relocated to the 8th floor of Exit Melsa, where it has opened a new restaurant floor. Shabusen, a long-established restaurant in Ginza, is part of the ZAKURO group. The spacious interior occupies half of the 8th floor, with all counter seats divided into 3 zones. For lunch, there are 5 shabu-shabu courses available, with options like Service Lunch A for 2,200 yen and Service Lunch B for 3,300 yen. The menu also includes sets with different types of meat like domestic pork loin, domestic beef rib loin, and Wagyu beef rib loin. The famous Goma Dare sauce is a must-try, which is rich and slightly spicy with a variety of spices added. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is attentive. Shabusen is definitely a place worth visiting in Ginza!

The restaurant has moved from the basement 2nd floor of the Ginza Core Building to the 8th floor of Ginza Exit Melsa, diagonally in front. I visited on August 4th, two days before the closure of the Core Building store, so it had been 20 days since I last had shabu-shabu. Today is a weekday Thursday, but around 10:45 am, people started gathering in front of the elevator on the 1st floor, and by the time the elevator started moving at 11 am, there were already over 30 people. I got the 7th reception card as people rushed ahead of me when the elevator arrived on the 8th floor. For lunch today, I had the domestic rib loin 150g (3,630 yen) and water dumplings (5 pieces: shared between two people) (550 yen). The meat was delicious as always. There were plenty of cabbage and wakame seaweed, and the tofu, enoki mushrooms, and mung bean noodles were also present as usual. The ponzu soy sauce and the popular secret sesame sauce were just as tasty as before. I am addicted to them. The lunch menu remains the same as before the move. The service lunch set is still available, with the B set offering a choice of three appetizers and five dessert options. The shabu-shabu experience for one person has not changed at all, maybe it has become slightly wider. The addition of temperature control is a nice touch. The cost performance is very good. There are around 24 seats at an oval-shaped counter, with two tables like this. At noon, another area is opened on the left side at the back of the entrance, where there is a large digital signboard for shabu-shabu. The place seems a bit smaller. By 11:40 am, the restaurant was full, with over 20 people outside. I wonder if it will be even busier on the weekend.

I thought it might be crowded, but I was seated immediately when I went. I ordered shabu-shabu, but I was in the mood for sukiyaki, so I ordered sukiyaki instead. I couldn't decide between 70g or 120g of domestic beef rib loin, so I chose 70g, but it was a bit small, so I should have chosen 120g! You can choose between rice or red bean porridge with sukiyaki, but I think regular rice goes well with sukiyaki. Even though it's not for rice, a raw egg is also included. The sukiyaki at the new location of Shabu Sen was delicious too. Next time, I'll try the shabu-shabu for the lunch set.
