First Visit 2308 (No.4751) 1. Purpose of Visit - Heard that the popular "Shabu Sen" in Ginza has finally relocated and reopened, so visited to check it out (^_-)-☆ 2. Shop Information - Genre on Tabelog: Shabu-shabu, Sukiyaki - Relocated and reopened on August 24, 2023, across from "Ginza Core" due to the redevelopment of Ginza Core, which opened in 1971 - A more affordable version of the high-end shabu-shabu restaurant "Zakuro," which was founded in Akasaka in 1955 - A "solo dining only" restaurant with all counter seats ♡♡♡ - The shop has been popular for over 40 years, and at its peak, it had another store on a different floor (5F?) in the same Ginza Core building - Prior to relocation, it was a popular restaurant with a Tabelog rating of 3.50 and 290 reviews - Business hours: [Weekdays] 11:00-16:30, 17:00-22:00 [Weekends/Holidays] 11:00-22:00 - Closed during year-end and New Year holidays, and subject to facility closure - Seating capacity: 65 seats - System of taking a numbered ticket to wait in line 3. Crowdedness and Atmosphere on the Day - Arrived at 11:02 on a weekday, with 12-3 customers already seated and 5-6 customers waiting - Due to operational issues, had to wait around 10 minutes before being seated - Upon leaving at 12:05, the restaurant was full with 10 people waiting outside - Despite downsizing from 85 to 65 seats from the previous Ginza Core location, the new shop is efficiently designed for serving and service, with a lot of cleanliness ♡ 4. Service - Since it was the first day, the service seemed a bit inexperienced 5. Order Items - Draft beer: 880 yen - Service Lunch B: 3,300 yen [Domestic beef rib roast (70g) + pork loin (70g), choice of appetizer, dessert, vegetable assortment, choice of rice or red bean porridge or Chinese noodles] *Unlimited rice or red bean porridge or Chinese noodles *Ponzu, sesame sauce, grated daikon, green onions, salt, pepper - Appetizer: Asparagus tofu - Tomato salad was also an option, but chose the above item - The beef and pork were satisfactory, with the sesame sauce being a highlight - Ordered red bean porridge & chilled Chinese noodles & Chinese noodles for the meal - The dessert, kuzukiri, was delicious as always, and they even provided new chopsticks, which was a nice touch 6. Summary - The quality of the meat depends on the price paid, but the appetizers and desserts are similar to those at "Zakuro" but at a more affordable price, making it a great place to visit (#^^#) If you haven't been to "Zakuro" or want to enjoy a budget-friendly meal, be sure to order the "Service Lunch B" <(_ _)> Even with this lunch, you can get a taste of their offerings, so (laughs) Thank you for the meal. ===========
