Located right in the middle of Kabukicho, this shop is great for a few reasons - first, the prices are cheap! Second, they have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. And lastly, everything is delicious! The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, most of them are probably from China, but their smiles are so comforting. While it's a Chinese restaurant, they also serve sashimi and other dishes. My favorite dishes here are the shrimp mayo and the green pepper beef. The food here feels very authentic and tasty. The sashimi and grilled shellfish are surprisingly cheap for the quality. With a wide menu selection, it's definitely worth a visit. I'm actually a big fan, I've collected two stamp cards and got two free bottles as a reward!

A gathering with friends at an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink restaurant. I arrived about an hour late due to work, and they had already eaten once, so I ordered some light and shareable items: dashimaki tamago, assorted skewers, potato butter, sashimi (tuna, salmon, squid), and Moscow Mule (including refills). Everyone finished the food quickly, even though they had supposedly already eaten. Unfortunately, the time limit was shorter than expected, with last orders announced at around 80 minutes instead of the planned 90 minutes. Despite pointing out the discrepancy, they were not willing to extend the time. In the end, we settled for fried rice as the last order before dessert. I went to Yumekichi-san, where they offer daytime drinking starting from 10 am. The place was bustling even though it was early in the day! We ordered a drinking course with lemon sour and edamame as a starter. They charge a seating fee of 1,100 yen per person. We also ordered century egg and a sashimi platter with 7 types of fish! The menu is diverse with a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, and the prices are reasonable. The sashimi was thickly sliced and delicious. It exceeded my expectations in a good way! The place was quite crowded and noisy. The sashimi and mackerel were delicious, with the mackerel having a nice fatty texture. The sashimi was thick and of high-quality for an izakaya.

It's an izakaya. We ordered a course for a drinking party. It includes all-you-can-drink alcohol, including draft beer. We enjoyed sashimi, seafood salad, yakitori, karaage, shrimp crackers, and fried rice. It was a great experience to have a party after a long time.

I have been relying on this izakaya in Kabukicho for a long time. Whenever I can't decide what to eat, I always come here for help. They have a wide variety of dishes, they are cheap, and the portion sizes are generous. The taste is not bad either, better than your average budget izakaya. However, the prices have gone up a bit since the pandemic started. If you want to eat and drink a lot, I recommend the all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat options. For three average men eating and drinking normally, I think 3000 to 4000 yen per person is enough.

The restaurant has been around for over 10 years, and I visited it when I was in my early 20s. Honestly, its only selling point used to be its cheap prices, but I stopped going because of the noisy atmosphere and mediocre food. However, this time I decided to visit again upon finding out that they were still open during these times. The interior has changed since 10 years ago, with the addition of tatami seating and a slightly increased sense of luxury. The cover charge is a bit high at 500 yen, but the drinks and food are cheap and easy on the wallet. I started with a draft beer (350 yen) and some fried fish cakes. The nostalgia hit me with the overly chilled beer glass, typical of low-priced izakayas (laughs). The fried fish cakes were surprisingly delicious and made a great snack with the drinks. The fried burdock roots were bite-sized and easy to eat, with an addictive quality that made me reach for them with chopsticks unconsciously. The mapo tofu had a sweet and savory homemade taste, quite different from authentic Chinese dishes, but the rich flavor was satisfying. Lastly, I ended with the classic deep-fried cartilage. It was perfect for leisurely drinking. The bill came out to around 3,000 yen per person. Although they mentioned a 2-hour time limit, there were empty seats, so I ended up staying for about 4 hours (laughs). I went alone to "Yumekichi" on the 2nd floor of the building in front of the landmark "Godzilla" in Shinjuku Kabukicho. This place used to be a restaurant specialized for Chinese and Korean tourists, but now it has become a spacious izakaya with many tatami seating at "Yumekichi". The waiter, who looked like the author of "Fist of the North Star: Tetsuo Hara", came to take our order. The "potato butter", "sand lance tempura", and "horse sashimi" were all delicious. The first beer we ordered was only 180 yen, so it felt like a great deal. I only stayed for about an hour, but it was relaxing. I would like to visit again.

After a yakiniku date, on a Sunday at the end of the year, I was looking for a lunch spot for some drinks after checking out. I was considering Nekozan, but I was worried I might end up dead from drinking too much Hoppy there, so I decided to try this other restaurant that is also open 24 hours. I arrived at 11 am for my first visit and was seated at a table for 4. As soon as I sat down, I was given a wet towel and an appetizer (with a charge of 500 yen). I ordered a set of white Hoppy for 380 yen right away. After looking at the menu for a while, I decided to order the chicken sasami with ponzu sauce for 380 yen using the touch panel. The portion was surprisingly generous, and the ponzu sauce was delicious. I also ordered two servings of natto for 200 yen each. The menu offered reasonable prices, with draft beer for 350 yen, highballs, shochu, wine starting from 300 yen, and sake starting from 400 yen. There were plenty of seafood options and even sushi on the menu. The prices were reasonable, making it easy to order. The staff mainly consisted of Asian employees, and although there were some language difficulties, they were overall accommodating. However, the noise level from a group of young people who were already there was unbearable. Their voices were too loud, and the sound of dishes breaking could be heard. Despite this, the restaurant was a good spot for a drink and some seafood dishes. Although the 500 yen charge was a bit off-putting, the prices were all tax-inclusive. They offer a variety of cuisines including Chinese, Japanese, and international dishes, all reasonably priced with many options costing less than a coin. Popular dishes include authentic Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu, Cream Cheese marinated in Saikyo Miso, and the value-for-money Shrimp Chili. They also serve fresh sashimi, sazae sashimi, and seafood yukhoe, along with a wide selection of appetizers like tempura and skewers. The restaurant also offers private rooms for parties, gatherings, and events, as well as all-you-can-eat and drink courses with 90 items available. In Chinese cuisine, dishes like Mapo Tofu can bring good luck and positive energy, while dishes with tofu cut into squares can promote harmony in relationships. Stir-fried and deep-fried dishes, typical in Chinese cuisine, can enhance luck when consumed during lunch. The bad part was that the last order was only for dessert and drinks. Since it was all-you-can-eat, when I ordered a lot, I was scolded for ordering too much and it was difficult to place additional orders. In the end, I managed to finish everything and actually felt like I didn't have enough. The good part was that the sashimi, fried food, and yakitori all came out quickly and were delicious.
