Memories of the Sumida Ward cashless campaign that ended early on 2/5 due to its popularity. One night, I went to a Japanese izakaya intrigued by the seemingly mismatched combination of crab dishes and wine. I played it safe by choosing a bottle of white wine and opting for the cheapest option on the menu. The food was average, with a slightly disappointing salted cabbage appetizer. I was surprised to find crab miso and crab cream croquettes were the only crab dishes available. I switched to a bottle of Asahi Super Dry halfway through the meal and enjoyed some tasty dishes like fried burdock, seared cod roe, and smoked herring roe with cream cheese. The crab cream croquette was delicious, but overall, the restaurant felt a bit overpriced. The young female proprietor, dressed in a flashy kimono, seemed earnest and left a good impression. Excluding the 30% PayPay points I received later, the bill came to about 3000 yen per person. The only reason for visiting was the campaign, as there was nothing particularly special about the experience.

This is my second time visiting this restaurant! I came back because the crab miso bread was delicious last time and I wanted to eat it again, so I came with my friends. It seems like they have been open for 7 years, but the interior of the restaurant is very clean. As a woman, I feel safe. It's a recommended restaurant.

The food was decent, but they felt that the dishes could use a bit more effort to stand out. The atmosphere was cozy, and it seemed like a local favorite spot. The service was a bit rushed, and there were some delays in serving the dishes. Overall, they enjoyed the food, but the place might need to work on making their dishes more unique to attract more customers. The friendly hostess seemed like she had the potential to improve the cooking and service in the future.

On September 7, 2016, I visited a newly opened restaurant based on the information from a foodie friend. The restaurant opens at 3 pm and is located right in front of Oshi City on the Skytree Street. The street is getting more and more shops lately. The restaurant has a lovely facade. Until the 13th, they are offering a free glass of draft beer. The interior is sparkling clean as it used to be an office before. The kitchen equipment is also brand new. The owner of the restaurant is a 27-year-old woman, and her mother was helping out on the opening day. It was clear that they were a bit unprepared due to it being the first day, with some hiccups in the operation. It seems like a waste considering the new kitchen equipment. However, the young landlady's smile made up for it. Middle-aged men are weak against young girls, aren't they? (laughs)

Crab miso is recommended. Also, try the sea bream carpaccio! If you like fish, you should definitely come and try it out!
