びびちゃ
At 9:45, the three of us started enjoying the Yosakoi Festival, and by 3:00, our summer had come to an end after watching the performance of our favorite team. H, who had suffered from heatstroke last month, had not fully recovered yet, so we decided not to drink together afterwards! A senior colleague would accompany me home, so H and I parted ways in Shinjuku. The senior said, "There's a supermarket I want to go to in Shin-Okubo." I asked, "Why did you get off in Shinjuku then?" The senior replied, "It's not that different even if we walk." I gave a suspicious look. My legs were tired from walking so much at the Yosakoi Festival. We walked for about 12.3 minutes following the senior. We passed through a shady hotel district and arrived at a supermarket called Korea Plaza. The senior said, "The bowls for the cold noodles I wanted were too small." I was shocked. The senior said, "I'm done with what I needed to do." I was even more shocked. I couldn't walk anymore. My legs were dead. My mouth was dry. HP 0%. When I complained, the senior bought me corn tea. After drinking it, my HP recovered to 98%. We walked back through the shady hotel district and this time I thought we would take the Shonan-Shinjuku Line, but the senior suggested, "Shall we go to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant?" I agreed. Suddenly, the two of us felt like going to the conveyor belt sushi restaurant we saw. It was "Conveyor Belt Sushi Restaurant HiBaRi Shinjuku Branch," located 231m from Shinjuku Station, right in the middle of Kabukicho. When we entered, we were casually directed to our seats. It was only after entering that I realized something was off. This place seemed suspicious. The BGM was YAZAWA's songs playing on a loop, which didn't seem to match the atmosphere. I sat down next to the senior and ordered dishes using the touch panel in front of me. We started with a lemon sour toast. The sushi prices were in three categories, and I think the most expensive one was 270 yen. Each of us ordered what we wanted using the touch panel and decided to eat one piece at a time. The rice portions were quite small. It was just right for the two of us who weren't very hungry. The sushi quality was not high, but it was just right for us at that moment. The service was casual, and the clientele consisted of shady characters. To others, the senior and I might have seemed like shady characters as well. When I ordered the chawanmushi, it was served in a plastic container. It was refreshing. Refreshing to the point of being casual. We ate seven plates together and that was it! The place attracted many foreign customers due to its location, and it seemed like the staff also hired many foreigners. After returning home, I read other reviews and they were criticizing the place.
