This is my second visit. I stopped by for lunch before heading to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine during my tour. I remembered how delicious it was last time and wanted to come back. This time, I ordered the cold soup with sweetfish set meal for about 2000 yen. The rice was cooked perfectly as always, and all the side dishes were delicious. You can get a refill of rice. The female owner is friendly and easy to talk to. It's a restaurant I want to visit again. They have a parking lot where you can park your bike.

The last order was just in time before heading to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, but the female owner kindly allowed us to enter. She had a very pleasant demeanor. The rice was cooked just the way I like it and the side dishes were seasoned in a way that brought out the flavors of the ingredients. They even offered me more rice and asked if I wanted to try some pickles. There are both counter and table seats available. I will definitely stop by here again when visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

On the way back from Kyuho, I stopped by for lunch with a friend. The restaurant was almost full when we entered. It was a good decision to have reserved a seat in advance. They were out of dango soup, so I ordered the Hagi bento. It was carefully made and had a refined taste, very delicious. I also enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the renovated old house, which is a nice touch for people of my generation. As always, I had a great time there.

I visited Dazaifu for a shrine visit. It's not often that I have the opportunity to come here. Everywhere for lunch was crowded, so I was looking for something light and refreshing. That's when I stumbled upon Hiyori, where I ordered the Hagi Bento, a lunch box featuring mainly mountain vegetables. It was a perfect match. The seasoning was great, and it was gentle and warm on my stomach, just what I was looking for. It was delicious and satisfying. I think this place could be a hidden gem in Dazaifu. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant after visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. It's about a 10-minute walk (3 minutes from the station), but it's a bit hard to find without a map. The interior of the restaurant, which is a traditional Japanese house, was very calming, and I enjoyed a Hagi bento with plum blossoms. There seemed to be a lot of vinegared dishes, but everything was delicious with a wide variety of items. I left feeling full. I think the menu probably changes each time you visit, so I would like to come back again. The counter seats facing the window were relaxing, even for solo diners. The age range of customers was wide, from young female groups to elderly groups and families. Next time, I would like to try sitting at a table facing the front garden.

Starting the second part of my Kyushu trip! Found this restaurant near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine for lunch. I ordered the rice ball set meal where you can choose 2 or 3 rice balls. They come with wild vegetable tempura inside! The side dishes are mostly made without animal products, with a gentle and heartwarming taste. I love all of them. The view outside is also nice. It's close to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, so I recommend this place along with sightseeing. You can make reservations, so I suggest booking ahead on busy days. The sweetfish soup set meal also caught my eye! My partner and I rate it 3.2 out of 5.

At this time of year, cherry blossoms are starting to bloom here and there, and most of the entrance exam results have been announced. There were quite a few people out doing thank-you visits, but since this place is a little off the main path from the Tenmangu Shrine, we were able to enter the restaurant without any trouble. It might be a hidden gem of a restaurant. There were empty tables available, but we chose to sit at the counter where we could see the cherry blossoms. We ordered the "Tempura Set" and the "Dago Soup and Sansai Tempura Set", which came to a total of 3,500 yen. The Tempura Set came with regular miso soup instead of the Dago Soup. The tempura was lightly and fluffily fried, and the seasoning was just right. The presentation was also beautiful. The service was very good as well.

The interior of the restaurant is designed in a traditional Japanese farmhouse style, which created a very calming atmosphere. I was seated at the counter and had a view of a pond in front of me, which was nice. I ordered the mountain vegetable tempura set meal. It was my first time trying mountain vegetables, and I found them to be easy to eat with no strong flavors. The side dishes were also homemade and had a gentle taste. The staff were very polite and provided excellent service. I'm glad I came here and would like to visit again in the future.

We parked in the large parking lot on the west side of Dazaifu Station and started walking towards Tenmangu Shrine. As we entered the bustling approach, we turned left at the Yamaya intersection and immediately entered a small alley on the left. The restaurant is located there. It's not easy to find this place without doing some research beforehand. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and traditional Japanese. It was around 2 o'clock, so there were only two groups of customers. We were seated at the counter. We ordered the Hagi Bento (¥2200) and the Sansai Tempura Teishoku (¥1430). The Hagi Bento comes with wine, but they will replace it with potato salad for those who cannot drink alcohol. I opted to switch the dessert to ice cream and upgrade to coffee for an additional ¥230. The traditional Japanese set meals included simmered dishes, sashimi, and tempura, all with a gentle and delicious taste. My wife enjoyed her Tempura Teishoku as well, and she mentioned that the ice cream dessert had a rich flavor. They offered refills for rice and pickles, and they even came to ask us if we wanted more towards the end of our meal. The service was excellent, and it was a very good restaurant. Oh, and the coffee cups were decorated with small flowers, a first in my long history of using Tabelog. (^.^)

I found a nice shop a little off the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Delicious and elegant dishes are served in stylish dishes. I had "ayu cold soup" and my companion had "Inaniwa udon". It was my first time trying cold soup. It is a cold broth with grilled salted ayu fish flakes in it, which you pour over rice and eat. It was delicious.

Upon arriving at the station on March 21, I decided to first have lunch before heading out. I found a restaurant with an exterior that suited my taste. It had just opened and was still empty, with a nice atmosphere inside. I chose the Hagi Bento, which was beautifully presented with a button flower. I tried deep-fried sesame tofu for the first time and it was delicious. The tempura, pickles, and dessert of ice cream were all satisfying. It was a very enjoyable lunch.

This is a restaurant in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which renovated an old house from the Taisho era. Upon entering the restaurant, the sturdy wooden tables exude a sense of strength and nostalgia. The lunch menu offers three options: chef's choice set meal, seasonal bento box, and tempura plate. This time, I tried the tempura plate. The tea served before the meal left a strong impression. As it was brought to the table, a pleasant aroma filled the air. The tea had a great flavor without any bitterness or astringency. The miso soup and side dishes brought out the best flavors of the vegetables. The tempura was also excellent. This time, it was tempura wrapped in cod, and it had a gentle texture and taste. The cod tempura, wrapped in seaweed and rice, was like a beautifully dressed onigiri. The meal ended with a serving of vanilla ice cream, making it a very satisfying lunch. Located near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, it is convenient for a meal after visiting the shrine.

I couldn't forget the tempura I received about 20 years ago, so I visited the restaurant again. However, I ended up ordering a slightly expensive course and didn't get to eat the tempura. I recommend making a reservation before visiting Dazaifu. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, and the staff are very polite, creating a pleasant dining experience. The garden is also well-maintained, and with many customers, the view is beautiful. I think it's a great restaurant for elderly people. Next time, I will definitely try the tempura!

It was still about 10 minutes before the restaurant opened, but they kindly let me in, perhaps because I was a traveler. Due to my schedule, I could only eat at this time, so I was happy they accommodated me. The food itself seemed to be local cuisine, which may be a hit or miss for some people. Personally, I loved it, including the chilled soup. Another highlight was that I could enjoy my meal while looking at the river nearby. It was raining, so the view was a bit hazy, but it added to the unique atmosphere. It definitely increased my appetite. It was a great experience to dine in a different setting than the usual city restaurants. I recommend this restaurant in Dazaifu for its wisdom-inspired dishes and charming hidden location.

I stopped by before visiting Dazaifu ❤(ӦvӦ。) You can easily spot Yamaya's sign from the opposite direction of the approach from Dazaifu Station. This time, I chose the winter menu, which was the Dagojiru & Sansai Tempura Set Meal (¥1890)! It was amazing. A variety of delicately flavored Japanese dishes were served (*´ڡ`●) The simmered kabu with yuzu miso, the fragrant seigoin daikon, the fluffy fu stew, the subtly sweet tamagoyaki, and the refreshing cabbage ohitashi were all fantastic! The Dagojiru had a light broth with tender daikon, carrots, and chewy dumplings - so delicious! And the yuzu pepper that came with it was outstanding! You can buy it as a souvenir, so be sure to get some (≧∇≦)/ When you visit Dazaifu, be sure to stop by this place!ʕ•͡ω•ʔ
