I entered the restaurant during dinner time and although it was somewhat crowded, I was seated promptly. On the table, there were soy sauce, pickled ginger, and powdered green tea - just the essentials, keeping it simple. While there were rotating plates of sushi available, most customers were ordering directly. This seemed to be the case at any conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The minimum price per plate was 190 yen, slightly higher than chain restaurants, but I felt that the freshness of the sushi and the way it was prepared justified the price.

I stayed abroad for about 2 weeks and had my first meal back in Japan at this restaurant. I often use this restaurant regularly. Recently, due to the increase in inbound customers, it can get crowded at times, but the turnover rate is fast so you don't have to wait too long. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but when you order verbally, they quickly make the sushi for you. The sea urchin and salmon roe are a good deal for the price at this sushi restaurant. I usually order miso soup as well, and this time, after a long time, it tasted especially delicious, maybe because I was craving salt after returning in the heat. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by Oedo Sushi on my way back from Shinjuku. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where the chefs take orders and make sushi right in front of you. Despite it being late, the place was packed with locals and a few tourists. Two chefs skillfully handled the orders from customers, and it was fascinating to watch their craftsmanship.

My master treated me to a revolving sushi restaurant. It's quite expensive, but the chefs there make the sushi with care. It's almost like a regular sushi restaurant rather than a revolving sushi place. The most delicious dish was the raw shrimp, I wanted to order more. I would recommend it with a score of 75 points.

During work, I had a late lunch at this place near my appointment. It was past 2 pm, so the restaurant was empty and I could enjoy my meal leisurely. They had a variety of dishes at different price ranges, but I appreciated that they had many options for the low-priced dish at ¥180. They had several types of tasty white fish like sea bream and black porgy, which are not usually found in high-end sushi restaurants and are interesting to try. The horse sashimi was decent, and the small red clam was fairly thick. However, the squid was a pre-packaged product and had a slight fishy smell, possibly due to the quality of the ingredients used by the manufacturer.

This time, I visited the "Oedo Shinjuku Nishiguchi Store" in Shinjuku. This revolving sushi restaurant offers a wide variety of sushi dishes for a low price of 180 yen and 240 yen including tax. The sushi is freshly made by the chef at the center of the restaurant, so you can also order directly for freshly made sushi. The taste is a step above other revolving sushi restaurants, with good portion sizes and freshness maintained. It's a great place to enjoy cheap and delicious sushi. Side dishes like seaweed soup and fish broth are also offered at a reasonable price. The restaurant has counter seating only, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy. I highly recommend this revolving sushi restaurant and would love to visit again. [Menu items we tried] - Seaweed soup 180 yen - Fish broth 180 yen - Various sushi (marinated tuna, cured mackerel, grilled salmon, squid, horse mackerel, saury, red snapper, albacore tuna, sweet shrimp) 180 yen - Various sushi (fatty salmon, sea urchin) 240 yen

This is a rotating sushi restaurant located at the west exit of Shinjuku Station. The restaurant is also near Oogodo in Nishi-Shinjuku. It is a slightly old-fashioned style of rotating sushi restaurant, with a lane in the center of the restaurant where chefs are preparing sushi. Although it is a chain restaurant with several locations in the Tokyo area, the number of stores has been gradually decreasing. The menu features plates of 2 pieces each priced at 180 yen as the main price range. There are also plates priced at 240 yen, 480 yen for more luxurious options, and even up to 680 yen. In addition to the standard menu items that are pre-packaged, there are also handwritten menu items on small strips of paper on the walls, featuring seasonal and recommended items. Furthermore, there are also items that are not on the menu but are prepared by the chefs. I ordered: - Tuna Trio (680 yen): A luxurious plate featuring Otoro, Chutoro, and Akami. Each piece was thick and satisfying, especially the Otoro with its rich fat content. The Chutoro was also quite fatty and leaning towards Otoro. The Akami also had a noticeable amount of fat, suggesting it may not be wild but farm-raised. Overall, the fatty and delicious sushi at affordable prices make it a great deal. - Ikura (240 yen): Although the roe was small, it was generously served on the gunkan sushi, providing a satisfying amount of ikura. - Negitoro (240 yen): This was not listed on the menu but was a hand-rolled negitoro with wasabi on top. It seemed to offer a larger portion compared to the 180 yen plate, making it a good option for pairing with drinks. - Crab Miso (480 yen): Despite its appearance, it had a generous portion and a light flavor due to mixing other ingredients with crab miso. It was a good accompaniment to sake and lasted a long time. - Tsubugai Wasabi (400 yen): Finely chopped tsubugai mixed with wasabi, offering a mild spiciness and served as a small snack. - Ojisan (180 yen): A light-tasting white fish sushi, with a slightly fatty texture compared to tai but lighter than hamachi or kanpachi. - Madai (180 yen): A delicious white fish sushi that felt relatively inexpensive compared to other major chains. - Himo Kyumaki (180 yen): A roll made with red clam himo and cucumber, providing a good balance of clam umami and cucumber crunch, making it a great pairing with sake. The quality of the sushi can vary due to being prepared by different chefs, and there may be some unique and rare fish available due to the limited number of stores. Despite the lower prices compared to major chains, the variety of options available makes it an enjoyable dining experience.

I had a training session in Shinjuku, and my first choice was steak, with sushi as a backup. Since the steak place was far, I ended up going to this place nearby! The atmosphere was nice, with some good jokes and decent conversation. I think I had the "middle cut"? There were no signs, but it was very delicious. As soon as I finished, I asked for the bill.

Three 180 yen dishes for a total of 540 yen, five 242 yen dishes for a total of 1210 yen, one 400 yen dish, one 400 yen highball, and two medium-sized 500 yen draft beers for a total of 1000 yen. The total bill including tax was 3550 yen. They have slightly changed their prices but the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

This place is different from other conveyor belt sushi restaurants because they have unique toppings and it's quick to get in. It's relatively easy to get a seat because there are other major conveyor belt sushi chains nearby. There are a lot of office workers, so everyone comes in and leaves quickly. The rice portion is standard size, so there are a lot of male customers. The scallops on this day were juicy and delicious, so I had them raw at first and then seared. The seared scallops were also delicious. The seasoning on the toppings was perfect.

In Shinjuku, the long-established conveyor belt sushi chain Oedo had two stores at the south exit, but one of them has disappeared, and the south exit store has been renovated and now there are two stores here. I have also visited their store in Ameyoko in Ueno, and I often use it because it is cheap and has a variety of rare fish. However, with the expansion of Kura Sushi and Sushiro in the neighborhood, it seems to be a tough time for Oedo. The tuna trio (285 yen), tuna feast (385 yen), spear squid (155 yen), and a small cold sake (410 yen) were all delicious and reasonably priced. The toro, chutoro, and akami tuna were all great for the price. The sea urchin was also tasty and went well with the sake. It seems like there are regular customers here, and the staff's service was good, creating a comfortable atmosphere at this conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I arrived around 8:00 PM and most of the sushi options were already sold out, with only sardines left. This conveyor belt sushi chain offers large, fresh and delicious sushi. The chefs are friendly and it's a pleasant place to dine. I recommend coming earlier to enjoy a wider selection of sushi.

Let's wrap up the Shinjuku expedition from yesterday! I remembered this restaurant that I've heard about quite a bit but never visited before. I went for the first time on Sunday around 6 pm. The shishamo (smelt fish) for 132 yen was surprisingly good, with a nice texture. The salt lemon flavor of the saffron cod for 132 yen was interesting, even though it was a bit watery. The hot sake (large) for 662 yen was a good deal. The tekka maki for 132 yen had a great first impression with tasty tuna. The white fish assortment for 242 yen had Kinmedai and Striped Jack, with the Striped Jack being thick and bouncy. The toro-taku maki for 132 yen only had 4 pieces, unlike the 6 pieces in the tekka maki. The maguro (tuna) and hamachi (yellowtail) for 132 yen each were decent, with the freshly made ones being the best. Unfortunately, the maguro I got later was disappointing, being cold and watery. The anakyu maki for 132 yen was also a bit disappointing, with mostly cucumber and very little eel. The staff, including 3 sushi chefs and 1 waiter, were friendly. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with a small counter space. Despite some hits and misses, this restaurant in Shinjuku is a great value for the price and I hope it continues to thrive in the future.

I entered the restaurant at 5:30 pm on Sunday, just before dinner time. It was easy to get a seat because of the time. They only have counter seats, so it's easy to dine alone. I had red snapper, kurodai, binchou maguro, maguro akami, negi shio salmon, engawa, akagai, tsubugai, negi toro, and maki sushi. Each plate costs 132 yen including tax! They have a limited variety of sushi toppings, but it's cheap and delicious! Thank you for the meal. *Suica is accepted.

I checked out a cheap and delicious conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Shinjuku based on reviews. Currently, the cheapest option is 120 yen + tax per plate. There are more expensive options available, but I stuck with the cheapest plates. They offer 500ml beers. The sushi is pretty standard, but there are no disappointing options. It's a great spot for a quick and casual meal or when you just want to relax and have a drink.

Near Shinjuku Station, there is a revolving sushi restaurant. It was mentioned that on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, all sushi plates are priced at 119 yen + tax as a gratitude day promotion. However, when I visited, they had closed early. The next month, I tried again and found out that from New Year's Day to the end of March, the 149 yen plates were reduced to 120 yen + tax as a daily gratitude promotion. During late night hours, there were fewer plates circulating and I couldn't find any appealing ones. I mustered up the courage to try a slightly more expensive dish like fresh squid, but the rice was dry and stuck to the plate. I also ordered fresh octopus and mackerel verbally since the prices were not clearly marked on the different colored plates. It would be better if the prices were clearly stated, even if they are higher. I used to have a high level of satisfaction with this restaurant before, but it seems that the experience can vary depending on the timing of the visit.

I didn't have much time until my next appointment, but I wanted to grab a quick lunch, so I decided to stop by this conveyor belt sushi restaurant. As I entered the restaurant alone, I was instructed to sanitize my hands with alcohol and then seated at a table of my choice. Each plate was priced at 149 yen before tax. Here is what I ordered: - Negitoro: This dish had a good portion size and the negitoro was delicious! I highly recommend it. - Button Shrimp: I ordered this as the daily recommendation. It was served as a single piece and had a sweet taste that I enjoyed. - Toro Taku Maki: Even though I had already eaten negitoro, when I saw another customer order this, I couldn't resist ordering it too. The combination of pickled radish and negitoro was delicious. - Scallop: I ended my meal with this dish. It was a bit small in size but very tasty. The restaurant was not crowded, making it easy to enjoy a casual meal alone. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and I left feeling satisfied.

I visited when I only had about 15 minutes to eat. In times like this, conveyor belt sushi is a lifesaver! The restaurant is located near the Ooguard intersection. It has a counter that surrounds the chefs, with partitions between seats. After disinfecting my hands, I sat down. I had negitoro, onion salmon, tamago, and anago from the revolving sushi. Tea and water are self-service. I spent 13 minutes there ^_^. The cost performance is high as I had 8 plates of sushi for less than 700 yen. Each plate costs 149 yen. Some sushi, like chutoro, cost 1 plate per piece. I will visit again ^_^.

Lane full of sushi. Sushi is going around like crazy. I had heard that sushi had disappeared from the conveyor belt since the arrival of the new coronavirus, but there are still some restaurants happily rotating. Most customers order the premium red tuna. I also ordered it and it was indeed delicious. Since it is a sushi restaurant where the chef prepares the sushi right in front of you, it is a bit different from the major chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The sushi ingredients displayed in the showcase were not left as they were but freshly prepared, and the freshness was impeccable. On this day, I had 6 plates of the following: raw whitebait, tekka maki, red clam, sea urchin, premium red tuna, and gurnard. I love the sushi rice here!

There was a little issue, and I had to make a sudden business trip to India for about a week. I had curry every day, so when I returned, I realized how much I was craving ramen and sushi as a Japanese person. The ramen was terrible, but I managed to satisfy my craving with instant ramen available locally. However, sushi was a different story. After returning home, I walked to a sushi restaurant in Nishi-Shinjuku to get my long hair cut. The revolving sushi restaurant was always crowded, especially the Dai-Edo branch in a good location. I used to frequent a restaurant in Naka-Okachimachi, which was even busier. The sushi here is slightly more expensive than the 150 yen conveyor belt sushi, but you can find some good deals if you choose carefully. For example, the Golden Eye Snapper and Striped Jack are quite a steal at 150 yen. The rice was a bit firm, but overall, I was satisfied. I ordered a bottle of beer and enjoyed my meal in about 15 minutes. This is how I end up falling asleep and snoring when I get a massage at the barber shop...
