I visited the restaurant again because I couldn't forget the cozy atmosphere and delicious food introduced by my junior colleague last time. It's a luxury to enjoy the charcoal-grilled dishes like beef tongue and kalbi set with drinks. Even though I don't usually eat rice dishes, the spicy miso rice creates a completely different sensation from the meat and it's quite interesting. The restaurant is long and narrow, with steep stairs up to the 4th floor. There are few staff members on each floor, so the service can be a bit slow, which is not ideal.

A hidden gem of a restaurant. The charcoal-grilled meats were delicious, but the mushrooms and seafood with different sauces were also a delightful treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. The octopus was particularly delicious. The cold noodles were refreshing and tasty. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and pleasant. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for the meal.

Kankuro @ Shibuya
Price: 4000-7000 yen
Rating: 4.5/5
Cost performance: 5/5
This hidden gem is located in a quiet alley in Udagawacho. The restaurant is 5 stories high with private rooms and terrace seating, suitable for various occasions. The interior has a cozy atmosphere. The specialty beef is thick and delicious. Whether it's kalbi, harami, or horumon, they are all superb. The quality of the meat at this price point is exceptional. It may be the best cost performance for yakiniku I've had recently. Just a note, if you order extra rice, be prepared for a substantial amount of rice to be served.

It's like a hidden gem in the back of Spain Hill. It's a bit scary to climb the dark stairs, but the semi-private rooms on each floor can only accommodate about two groups, so it's not noisy. They have various fruity sours and highballs, all with rich flavors and delicious. I ended up drinking about 6 glasses without realizing it while sipping through a straw like juice. The apple highball and blueberry sour were especially delicious. The meat was cut into small pieces, allowing you to try various types little by little. The burdock pickles were also delicious!

When climbing up the Spanish Hill, be sure to keep an eye out for a narrow path that could be easily missed, leading to a hidden shop! Climbing up the narrow and dark staircase, you'll find staff on the second floor who will ask for the reservation name. Request to be seated on the upper floor. The shop has private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables for a relaxing experience. After ordering meat, charcoal is brought over for grilling. Tongue, loin, ribs, and other classic cuts of meat are rolled up and gradually expand as they cook. The meat is very tender, and they even provide sesame oil when ordering liver! The hormone was also excellent!

I used it for a year-end party. The freshly baked, fragrant grilled meat was delicious, and the snacks were also satisfying, making it a fun year-end party. The calm lighting and relaxing atmosphere are also good points. I recommend it.

We used it for a party of 12 people. There was a staff member who stayed with us in a semi-basement private room, and we could order drinks anytime with almost no waiting time. The quality of the meat was quite good, and there were cuts that could be eaten raw. We ordered a course with all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen, and the cost performance was quite good. I liked that it was a private room, so we could have a lively time without worrying too much. I will definitely use it again.

Great cost performance and delicious food! They offer charcoal-grilled dishes, duck hot pot, sukiyaki, and a wide variety of food and drinks. It's a hidden gem where you can forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. The location may be hard to find at first glance. They have private rooms available, and it seems like many people from the industry frequent this place. Each floor has a different atmosphere, which adds to the enjoyment. It's a delicious restaurant that is not well-known to many people.

The way the meat was served, with the thinly sliced beef wrapped in a coil and the short ribs cut into cubes, was interesting and enjoyable. It was delicious!

On October 22nd at 6:30pm, I was guided to Kabukuro in Shibuya. It's located on the 4th floor with around 15 seats on one floor. The floor is long vertically with steep stairs, so it might be tough for ladies wearing heels! The seats are in a sunken kotatsu style where you take off your shoes. The background music is 70s Western music. I tried the Kenhachi soda highball for 790 yen. I started with the Kenhachi highball and then got hooked on the barley soda highball. The Kenhachi for 780 yen felt a bit pricey. I asked about the fruit tomato on the menu, but the staff didn't know where it was from and had to check. Turns out it's from Nara. I've never heard of it before. It's smaller than regular tomatoes, so I assume it's a cherry tomato. I'm not a fan of cherry tomatoes, so I didn't order it. I had the Japanese beef sampler. The meat lacked flavor, but the presentation was good and they gave advice on how to cook it. They were very detailed in explaining how long to cook each piece. The green onion tongue was okay, but dishes with green onions taste better with seasoning. The vibe here is very Shibuya-like, focusing on atmosphere and menu composition. If this were in Minato Ward, the food might be a bit tastier. However, the service is polite, they have terrace seating, and the prices are reasonable, so I might come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I went to "Kankuro" in Spain-zaka, Shibuya, a shop that you might overlook at first glance. They offer a variety of dishes such as wagyu kalbi, wagyu negishio kalbi, and oyama chicken, as well as seafood like shrimp, squid, and shishamo. They also have bamboo shoots, asparagus, eringi mushrooms, and more, each served with tartar sauce, yuzu kosho, garlic soy sauce, etc. It's great to be able to try a variety of options. In addition, the meal comes with salad, kimchi, condiment tofu, bibimbap, and dessert. The price is very reasonable for all that you get, so I would love to go again with friends. I am satisfied.
