May 3, 2015. Day 2 in Tokyo. Due to Golden Week, I couldn't extend my stay at the hotel I stayed at on the first day, so I ended up staying at the "Shinjuku Washington Hotel" after a long time. I walked from Shinjuku Station, and it was quite a walk, wasn't it? Carrying a lot of luggage made it feel even farther, plus I was hungover, and most importantly, I've aged quite a bit since my last visit, haha. (I should have just taken a taxi from the beginning.) Upon arrival at the hotel, I headed to the new building where I would be staying. After checking in at the front desk, I went to my room. This time, I booked a single room with the bed in the middle. Last time I stayed here, the bed was against the wall and noise from the neighboring room was a problem, but this time everything was comfortable - the air conditioning, the bed, and the layout of the desk was convenient. I visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum for a mask exhibition and had dinner at Kanda Yabusoba, keeping it classic, haha. I returned to the hotel around 1 am and called it a night. May 4th. I started the day with breakfast at the hotel. You can choose breakfast from the "Fujita" in the new building or two other options in the main building. Since I didn't feel like moving from the new building, I chose "Fujita." However, there was a wait for breakfast due to Golden Week. But since I was alone, I only had to wait a few minutes to be seated (at a table by the counter). Breakfast at "Fujita" is buffet style with both Japanese and Western options, although the variety is not that extensive. This time, I focused on bread, sausages, bacon, eggs, etc., but ended up also getting some Japanese items due to the limited selection. Regardless, everything was delicious and comforting. There were many foreign guests that day, but it was a relatively relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Bon appétit! By the way, for dinner, you can enjoy black wagyu beef teppanyaki and shabu-shabu. Yum!
