Today I decided to come here in advance. I was conscious of the volume and decided to have only one meal today. I came to Shinjuku at lunchtime. I visited Capricciosa with high expectations. It offers great value for money. Salad, pizza, fried potatoes, soup, and drinks are all you can eat. You can also get a large serving of pasta for an additional ¥300. And when they say large serving, it's double the normal portion. Alright! I ordered the Carbonara with a large serving. It costs ¥1,630, but it's a whole meal, so it's fine. I was hungry, but I got carried away. It's been a while since I felt full during a meal. I tend to overeat when I come here. Next time, I'll be more restrained and go for a regular serving. The salad wasn't well presented, so there are no photos. It was a fantastic lunch. Thank you for the meal.

Capricciosa Shinjuku Washington Hotel Store Shinjuku Station/Italian Cuisine Classic tomato and garlic pasta Today's special is pizza with 7 varieties, salad pizza, salad, and drinks all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. If you go for the all-you-can-eat option, it's a great deal. I recommend not getting the large serving of pasta, which is normally 1300 yen. Will definitely come back. I went to the restaurant because they were offering discount coupons for their 45th anniversary. By answering a survey with the receipt from my previous visit, we both got a free drink. The squid ink pasta was delicious as always. We also tried the squid and tuna salad for the first time, and even the half size had plenty of squid, enough for two people. We felt very satisfied.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. It was past 1 pm and most of the seats were taken. I ordered my favorite tomato and garlic spaghetti. This restaurant offers a lunch buffet with salad, pizza, potatoes, and a drink for 1300 yen. The taste of Capricciosa can vary depending on the restaurant, but I like this branch. I have a regular craving for tomato and garlic, so I'm glad this place is near my workplace. I will continue to visit in the future.

Today, it was crowded even in the evening and it took about 30 minutes for the food to be served. (It seemed to be the expiration date of the shareholder benefit tickets, so many people were paying with the tickets). I ordered lasagna and it was served piping hot. The meat sauce was rich and the pasta was al dente. It was a size that I could comfortably finish eating. I also got a rice croquette to go. It was about the size of a softball! When heated, the cheese inside became soft and the deliciousness increased.

Each person ordered their favorite dish because everyone's hunger levels were different. I had a Capricciosa ice cream with plenty of blueberry sauce, the ice cream was large and rich. I also tried a pumpkin tart, which had a lighter texture than it looked. Others ordered a Caesar salad, mushroom and cream sauce pasta, and herbal tea. As a complimentary post-meal treat, we were served.

I ordered the classic tomato and garlic pasta lunch with salad bar and drink bar included. The salad was average, but there was a wide variety of drinks. I drank a lot of apple cider vinegar. The pasta portion was large, so much so that I doubted if it was an extra large serving.

Today, I had plans in Shinjuku around lunchtime, so I decided to have pasta at Capricciosa in the morning. It was my first time visiting the Shinjuku branch. I was curious about what it would be like. It was quite crowded around lunchtime, but luckily I only had to wait for about three people before entering. They had a great lunch menu with a pasta set that was very cost-effective. I decided to go with the carbonara pasta, and it came with unlimited pizza and salad. Plus, drinks were also included. The salad was fresh and delicious, and there were many different types of pizza available. I ended up eating about the equivalent of one whole pizza. They even had unlimited fried potatoes available. All of this for ¥1,300 was incredible value. They also offered a double portion of pasta for an additional ¥300, but I didn't have the courage to order that. I was very satisfied with the meal. This lunch deal at Capricciosa is really worth it. A great way to end the week. Thank you for the meal.

During lunchtime, I opted for a lunch set that included salad, pizza, and a drink (buffet style). I ordered the tomato and garlic pasta, which was rich and had a strong garlic-flavored tomato sauce that was addictive. For 1300 yen, I think it's a good deal. Just be aware that lunchtime can get busy, so pasta may take some time to be served.

It was lunchtime, so there was a line. The Caesar salad with plenty of dressing was delicious till the end. The rice croquette was big! It was enough to fill me up. The cheese was a hard type. The blood orange ice sherbet was refreshing after the meal. Herb tea was also served as a service for dessert.

It's a squid and tuna salad half and rice croquette. I had been wanting to try the rice croquette ever since it was featured on TV, and it was delicious with the tomato sauce. The portion was a bit too much for one person, but I managed to finish it by switching up the flavors with the salad dressing. I was really happy with the flavored tea served as a post-meal treat.

I tried this place for the first time because the Ikebukuro store closed down. The Caesar salad with extra dressing was a bit lacking for three people to share. The tomato and garlic pasta (double portion) was lighter than before with a stronger tomato flavor. The carbonara (double portion) had a rich sauce that coated the pasta well with a good balance of flavors. The Capricciosa pizza had a slightly chewy crust and the toppings seemed to change slightly. The olive oil with chili flakes that used to come with it was no longer included. They offered herbal tea as a complimentary after-meal drink, which left a refreshing feeling in the mouth.

Capricciosa Shinjuku Washington Hotel Store Shinjuku Station / Italian Cuisine I remember using Capricciosa back in high school and college days. The classic tomato and garlic pasta is a must-try. Getting the large serving for an extra 300 yen is worth it! I ordered it, but thankfully I didn't opt for the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink pizza, salad, and drinks. The large serving costs 1600 yen, while the regular size is 1300 yen. Great value for money. I will definitely come back again. Set menu for 2 people, 3973 yen Capricciosa Ice I found a frozen pasta dish called "Tomato and Garlic Pasta" at a certain convenience store and kept repeating it because it was delicious, but I wanted to try the real thing at the restaurant, so I went to the nostalgic Capricciosa. This restaurant located in the Washington Hotel is spacious at night, allowing you to enjoy your meal without any noise, making it highly recommended. The set menu includes 2 drinks, your choice of salad, your choice of spaghetti, and your choice of pizza, allowing you to create your ideal set. The squid and tuna salad is crunchy and delicious, with boiled squid, tuna, and a special dressing. Although it's for 2 people, the portion is generous. The firm squid paired with the refreshing acidity of the special dressing and the umami of the tuna is a perfect match. The pizza is Capricciosa (+110 yen), topped with bacon, Milano salami, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, arugula, and a daily topping. The slightly chewy crust is sweet and delicious, with a nice crispy crust. Surprisingly, the pizza crust remains delicious even when cold. The bacon and salami provide satisfaction, while the cherry tomatoes and arugula add a refreshing touch, giving it a appetizer-like taste. The Tomato and Garlic Pasta features al dente pasta coated in a fresh tomato sauce with a strong garlic flavor. The tomato sauce melted with garlic is so delicious even on its own. The sauce is plentiful and blends well with the pasta. Despite its simple ingredients, the taste is truly unique and you can eat as much as you want. For dessert, I added the Capricciosa Ice, which is vanilla ice cream topped with hot blueberry sauce. It's a new idea similar to affogato. The melted ice cream and blueberries are delicious. The blueberry pulp is plentiful and makes you feel happy. The drink is Italian Peach Iced Tea. After the meal, they also serve Capricciosa's original hot tea as a complimentary service. The sweet herbal aroma is soothing. They also have a lunch buffet available. I would love to go back again.

I found it convenient that the restaurant is located a good distance away from Shinjuku Station, so it was not too crowded. The prices may seem a bit high, but the portions are generous. I ordered two lunch sets and a rice bowl to share, and we were both full by the end of the meal. Everything was delicious. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

I entered the restaurant around 19:30 for dinner on a regular day after work. The interior had counter seats and table seats, making it easy for even one person to enter. Although the restaurant is located in a hotel, the prices were not too high and the atmosphere was clean and nice. The ordering method was done through my smartphone, a format that has become more common recently. I ordered the Hiroshima oyster Arrabiata for 1340 yen. It took about 15 minutes from ordering for the dish to arrive. It felt a bit long, but when I took a bite, it was delicious! The oysters were large and satisfying to eat. After the meal, I was served complimentary tea, which was a nice touch. It was a pleasant time, although I wish the pasta had been served a bit faster... Thank you for the meal. *PayPay is accepted.

After a long time, I visited Capricciosa. Located in the basement of the Shinjuku Washington Hotel. It was a Friday night around 8:30 pm, with a few other customers already there, and the last order was at 9:30 pm. I went again on a Sunday afternoon, and it was much busier then. For me, Capricciosa means "large portions" and "squid ink pasta". The first time I went, I made the mistake of ordering too much without realizing they had share sizes, but now they have regular and double sizes. Also, I think I first discovered squid ink pasta here. So, my friend and I shared the squid ink pasta (regular size) for 1,130 yen and the prosciutto and arugula pizza for 1,680 yen. The squid ink pasta was spicy with a hint of garlic, and the pizza had plenty of cheese with fresh arugula and prosciutto evenly distributed on each slice, making it easy to eat. It was delicious and good value for money. Now that I know there is a Capricciosa near where I live, I definitely want to come back again.

It's been a while since I went to Capricciosa. I remember going there often during my student days. I think back then they had all-you-can-eat focaccia and salad, but now it's Napoli pizza and salad. They even had fried potatoes, which was a bit surprising. I felt like I might get full before the pasta, so I took small portions. The drink bar was the same as always. For the main dish, I had the reliable garlic and tomato pasta. It felt somewhat lighter than before, but maybe it's just my imagination. I feel like craving it occasionally. I'll definitely go back again soon.

Visited around 5:00 PM on October 23, 2022 (Sunday) for the second time. This time, I came alone. Last time, I had pizza and pasta for dinner but couldn't decide on getting ice cream, so I came back this time specifically for the ice cream. There were quite a few customers even at this time, so I was seated at the counter in the middle. There were 4 flavors of ice cream: blood orange, vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio. I was torn between the unique blood orange flavor, but since I love pistachio, I chose that! It took about 10 minutes to arrive. It seemed like the kitchen staff made them in the order the orders came in, even though I only ordered one ice cream. (Usually at Royal Host, the desserts are made by the wait staff...) I was surprised by the size of the ice cream! It was about the size of a softball. Probably the largest ice cream I've ever had dining out! (It was about the same size as the half size at Kanohikan in Iwate. If it wasn't a half size, this one might be bigger.) As for the taste, it was not too sweet and had just the right flavor. It was nice that there were pistachio cuts as toppings! I was very happy with the price of 220 yen including tax. I thought it was the best cost-effective dessert that only those in the know would know about. Next time, I want to try the blood orange flavor! Thank you for the meal!
