Set menu for 2 people, 3973 yen
Capricciosa Ice
I found a frozen pasta dish called "Tomato and Garlic Pasta" at a certain convenience store and kept repeating it because it was delicious, but I wanted to try the real thing at the restaurant, so I went to the nostalgic Capricciosa. This restaurant located in the Washington Hotel is spacious at night, allowing you to enjoy your meal without any noise, making it highly recommended. The set menu includes 2 drinks, your choice of salad, your choice of spaghetti, and your choice of pizza, allowing you to create your ideal set. The squid and tuna salad is crunchy and delicious, with boiled squid, tuna, and a special dressing. Although it's for 2 people, the portion is generous. The firm squid paired with the refreshing acidity of the special dressing and the umami of the tuna is a perfect match. The pizza is Capricciosa (+110 yen), topped with bacon, Milano salami, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, arugula, and a daily topping. The slightly chewy crust is sweet and delicious, with a nice crispy crust. Surprisingly, the pizza crust remains delicious even when cold. The bacon and salami provide satisfaction, while the cherry tomatoes and arugula add a refreshing touch, giving it a appetizer-like taste. The Tomato and Garlic Pasta features al dente pasta coated in a fresh tomato sauce with a strong garlic flavor. The tomato sauce melted with garlic is so delicious even on its own. The sauce is plentiful and blends well with the pasta. Despite its simple ingredients, the taste is truly unique and you can eat as much as you want. For dessert, I added the Capricciosa Ice, which is vanilla ice cream topped with hot blueberry sauce. It's a new idea similar to affogato. The melted ice cream and blueberries are delicious. The blueberry pulp is plentiful and makes you feel happy. The drink is Italian Peach Iced Tea. After the meal, they also serve Capricciosa's original hot tea as a complimentary service. The sweet herbal aroma is soothing. They also have a lunch buffet available. I would love to go back again.
