This day, we used the restaurant with a group of industry colleagues in a friendly reunion-like atmosphere. Despite ordering a ridiculous amount of food and drinking a lot of highballs, I think it came out to about 8,000 yen per person. This is what true Korean cuisine is like, haha. Since it's a seafood restaurant, all the seafood dishes were delicious. Especially the Kanjanggejang (marinated crab) and live octopus were must-order items! However, be careful with the live octopus as there have been cases in Korea where people have choked to death on it. It's like the traditional mochi choking hazard in Japan.

A shop run by Japanese and Korean owners. Here, you can enjoy fresh seafood! The specialty is raw octopus legs. They move around and the suckers stick to your tongue. The sashimi of sea bream is beautifully arranged on the plate. I also tried surf clam and abalone, all of which were really fresh. The sauce is made of sesame oil and salt, or wrapped in red pepper paste and perilla leaves for a Korean flavor. I also had seafood jeon and cold noodles, but I think enjoying the seafood here is the best choice.

I wanted to try eating a moving octopus, so I looked it up and ended up at this restaurant. The salad and porridge were served as appetizers. The porridge was incredibly delicious! It had a gentle flavor and I wanted to eat a whole bowl of it. The moving octopus was fun to look at, but the taste was very strong and salty. It was still enjoyable though! The only dish the kids could eat was the seafood and cheese pancake. However, since the kids saw the moving octopus before eating the pancake, they were a bit scared of the octopus in the pancake and had a hard time eating it. Thank you for the meal.

I went there for the first time. It's a Korean restaurant specializing in sashimi, which I don't usually go to, but I was craving sashimi! The prices were a bit high, so I was worried about how much food would come out for each dish. When I ordered oysters, I was surprised by the huge portion that came out! It was like, "Wow!" The squid stir-fried in spicy miso was delicious! They also brought out leaves and miso, telling us to eat the sashimi with the spicy miso, which was a new experience for me. In the end, I stuck with the regular soy sauce for the sashimi, but it was a unique experience. They also provided great service with various extras.

I tried a dish with rice mixed with sesame oil and seaweed, filled with spicy marinated crab, and it was so delicious that I was shocked. It was my first time trying it at this seafood restaurant, and I only had two dishes there before heading to another Korean restaurant in Okubo for more food. This new style of dining is now my go-to plan. I already want to go back and eat it again.

I wanted to try Kanjan Kejan, so I visited the 2nd branch of Haiundae with a large group of people. The sashimi was delicious and the sea squirt had no strange taste. The grilled mackerel and the hotpot also had fish bones in them.

Located near Kabukicho, just before reaching Okubo-dori after passing through Kabukicho from Shinjuku Station, is a seafood-focused Korean restaurant called Koun-dai. They offer cost-effective course meals tailored to the number of people. Dishes like salad, cold tofu, kejjan, chijimi, marinated sea snails, grilled mackerel, and sea pineapple are served one after another. It's great to enjoy various types of seafood while drinking. The highlight is the sashimi of sea bream and flounder. It comes in quite a generous portion and looks impressive. You can wrap it in leafy greens like sanchu or simply enjoy it with soy sauce and wasabi. It's delicious either way. It's even better when enjoyed with a group of friends. Just be cautious as the next day you might have a strong garlic odor.

Chagaltchi set (I think) and a large amount of shochu ordered ◆ The horse mackerel and seafood are all fresh. It's a sensation that you can't experience at an izakaya. ・Don't be afraid to eat the dancing octopus. It goes well with sesame oil, making the alcohol go down smoothly. ◆ Ajigai ・The clientele seems to be mostly Korean. ・Recommended for a second round!? ・There is a restroom. ・Be careful not to drink too much.

Fresh octopus is the best! It sticks to your mouth! If you order the sesame oil course, they keep bringing it one after another (even if you can't finish it). Personally, I didn't expect much from the kaejang, but it turned out to be the best! However, I wonder if there are people who eat the Thai sashimi platter that comes last with the leaf that looks like shiso? I like samgyupsal, where you wrap meat, but I feel like it doesn't go well with fish. Maybe it's just personal preference?

I had seafood Korean cuisine at the 2nd branch of Kaundae located in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The dishes were served on deep plates with a variety of fresh seafood. The octopus suckers stick to your mouth. The Kankejang was so delicious that I got lost in eating and forgot to take photos. The salty flavor goes well with alcohol. I enjoyed beer, Chamisul, flavored shochu, and Makgeolli. Pouring Makgeolli into a metal pot with a ladle felt like being in a Korean drama, adding a local touch and boosting my mood. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Visited in December 2021.

My Korean friend took me to this restaurant where the sashimi was delicious. Following their instructions, we arrived at the main store and were told to move to the second store, which was just a few minutes away. The second store was larger with many table seats, and I thought this place was better. We were served abalone porridge as a complimentary dish! Very generous! Since I wasn't very hungry, I ordered the Namdaemun set with a sea bass set (salad, jeon, meuntang). A huge amount of sashimi was brought to us! The jeon was also delicious. I tried the recommended "Chaumchourom" soju instead of Chamisul. We cooked the fish head and other parts with vegetables in a pot for the finale. The bean sprouts added a nice flavor! It was incredibly delicious with just the right amount of spiciness! Truly amazing!! It's no wonder the restaurant was chosen by a Korean person. It was not crowded, probably because it was near Dongshinju Station. I would love to go back again!

I visited the specialized Korean sashimi restaurant, "Kaiundai," located a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku. I was very excited to see the moving octopus. I tried live octopus sashimi for the first time and found it interesting and delicious with its suckers sticking to my mouth. The Kanjangkejan, with plenty of crab broth in soy sauce, was packed with rice and incredibly tasty. It had a unique flavor thanks to the fresh snow crab. The sashimi had a wide variety, and the sea squirt was very fresh. It was quite delicious when dipped in Korean-style miso. The seafood stew, with a strong flavor of red snapper, had a spicy broth that went well with the noodles and radish. I was impressed by the deliciousness of the food.

Located close to the Joban Street in Kabukicho, this restaurant serves delicious Korean seafood dishes. Their specialty is Gejang, which comes in two varieties: soy sauce marinated and spicy. Both are absolutely delicious! The rice mixed with the marinade is also amazing. They also offer live octopus sashimi and a variety of other Korean seafood dishes. The cost performance is great too!

I ordered the course menu, but the Kanjan Kejan that I was looking forward to was really delicious! The Chijimi that came out in the beginning was just okay. It felt like a filler until the main dish arrived. But overall, I am satisfied!

Personally, I love San-nakchi (live squirming octopus) and occasionally visit this restaurant. They are open until 1 am even during this time of year, so I recommend it. It's best to call ahead! For around 15,000 yen, you can enjoy a seafood course that is perfect for 4-5 people! That's a great deal for 15,000 yen. The Kanjankejan is also incredibly delicious.

This place was recommended by a Korean-speaking lady who seemed like a regular here. I came here feeling disappointed that my trip to Korea got canceled, but this place really gave me the Korean vibes with the menu written in Hangul and the staff speaking Korean. I ordered the cheapest Chagaltchi set and it had a variety of authentic Korean dishes that satisfied me. It seems like ordering a set and enjoying it with Chamisul is a better way to have fun than ordering individual items. It's recommended to visit with at least 4 people.

This is a Korean restaurant located in Kabukicho. They specialize in seafood dishes among Korean cuisine. Orders are taken as sets. We ordered a set for two which included live octopus and abalone sashimi. The dishes kept coming one after another, and each one was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, and the prices were very reasonable for this area. The sashimi included three types of fish, abalone, oysters, and sea squirts. The portion size was generous, and we were full just from the sashimi. Every dish went well with alcohol. It was a bit too much for two people, but we were satisfied with the meal. The set would probably be just right for four people. If you need more, you can add a hotpot dish. The restaurant had many Korean customers, and the atmosphere was lively with bright lighting. There were both tatami and table seating options. This is definitely a place we would like to visit regularly.

A friend who is familiar with Korean cuisine took me to a seafood restaurant for my birthday dinner. The main dish was a whole flounder served as sashimi from a live fish tank. Before that, we had a variety of dishes like kimchi, namul, gratin, jeon, grilled fish, and ganjang gejang. Korean cuisine is often associated with BBQ and spicy dishes, but this seafood feast was a refreshing change. However, the food was very rich and the portions were generous, so it's best to go with a friend who knows Korean cuisine well and make sure to have enough people in your group.

The main store is open in the evening, but I visited here during the day! I forgot to take a photo... I ordered the same course as I did at the main store (Matsushima set). The main store's portion was bigger and the service was faster. However, it was not crowded here so I could relax and the staff were kind and nice.
