At my company, we decided to order bento boxes for lunch, and I ended up getting the Rosukatsu (pork cutlet) bento from Saboten for 760 yen (excluding tax). While they also offer croquette and hirekatsu (fillet cutlet), the classic Rosukatsu bento seemed like the best choice. The pork was just right - not too tough or too soft, with a clean taste and not too fatty. I personally prefer a bit more fat for that true Rosukatsu flavor. The breading seemed a bit thinner compared to my favorite spot, but for takeout, it was probably just right. They included a 30g packet of sauce and some mustard on the side, which was plenty. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, I've been ordering bento boxes more often, so I'd like to try other types of cutlet bentos when I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

JR Kinshicho Station South Exit has a takeout tonkatsu restaurant located on the basement 1st floor of the station building called "Termina." Greenhouse, the company behind "Saboten," specializes in operating employee cafeterias for corporations and hospital food services. In addition to "Saboten," they also manage a Chinese restaurant called "Shahoden" as part of their restaurant and deli business. "Saboten" is known for having takeout shops like this one in many station buildings and large commercial facilities. This particular shop has a counter-style setup where you can buy pre-made bento boxes displayed at the storefront, as well as order custom ones. I tried the "Rosu Katsu Bento" for 760 yen, which is a basic bento featuring the classic rosu (loin) cutlet. The meat had a slight odor to it, but the balance of fat and lean meat was well done. Saboten's tonkatsu sauce is slightly sweet and fruity, which pairs better with hire (fillet) than rosu. The bento also came with side dishes like kinpira gobou (burdock root) and tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), with a sprinkle of furikake on the rice. Overall, it's a satisfying bento box for the price, offering a stable tonkatsu flavor and good value for money.

This is a tonkatsu restaurant located on the basement floor of Terumina in Kinshicho, with a Tabelog rating of 3.01. I visited this restaurant on a holiday after finishing my errands in Kinshicho and decided to buy lunch on my way back. I was in the mood for tonkatsu, so I chose to come to this place. I purchased the Ebi Hire (shrimp fillet) bento. Since I experienced indigestion after eating a pork cutlet at another tonkatsu restaurant recently, I decided to go for the fillet this time considering my age. The saboten bento is still delicious even when cold.

Today, I finished my weekly grocery shopping at the supermarket and was heading towards the exit when I noticed an interesting fried food at the deli corner of "Saboten" store. It was called "Pork loin cutlet rolled in ginger sauce flavor." Although I could imagine the taste, my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to buy it. I declined the offer for a discount on buying two pieces as I thought one would be enough for a taste test. I quickly received the fried item and headed home. Later in the evening, I prepared other dishes for dinner and finally tasted the pork loin cutlet. The coating was slightly soggy but still had a crispy texture. The pork minced meat and ginger cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, rolled in pork loin and deep-fried, tasted delicious. The refreshing spiciness of ginger added a nice touch to the dish. Overall, it was a good idea for a fried food, although nothing beats the taste of freshly fried food. Thank you, "Saboten," for the meal.

"Saboten" was a restaurant located in the restaurant area before Kinshicho Station building was rebuilt. We used to go there often as a family back then. After the rebuilding, it remained as a take-out specialty store in the food floor underground, not as a restaurant. On this day, I bought a mixed bento box with pork cutlet, shrimp fry, and oyster fry. They packed warm rice, which was a nice touch. Even though the fries had cooled down, they still had a crispy texture unlike regular bento boxes, and they were delicious to eat.
