Before going to watch baseball at the shrine, I visited this place. I love Akashiyaki, so I had always wanted to try it, but I usually gave up because of the long wait. This time, it looked like they were cooking quite a bit, so I decided to wait a little and place an order. However, when I ordered, they said, "The takoyaki will be ready soon, but the Akashiyaki will take 15 minutes." It's understandable due to the difficult location for attracting customers, but for a fast food that Osaka is famous for, the wait time was a bit tough. The taste, on the other hand, was truly delicious. The soft and fluffy texture of the batter was satisfying.

I ate takoyaki, Akashiyaki, and yamaimo. Takoyaki was mostly dough with few ingredients. Akashiyaki had a prominent egg flavor and wasn't very delicious. It was my first time eating yamaimo, and it had a crispy texture sometimes, which was delicious. Compared to the taste of Kukuru's takoyaki in Osaka, it's still inferior. I prefer the Koga style, but it's sad that I can't eat it in the Kanto region.

While walking in Shibuya, I suddenly felt like eating takoyaki. I searched for "Shibuya takoyaki" and found this place, so I went there. The takoyaki was delicious as always at Kukuru. The store is takeout only, but there is seating further inside where I ate. It satisfied my hunger and I left very happy.

I chose to eat at Takoya Dotonbori Kukuru Shibuya Tokyu Food Show store. I haven't had takoyaki outside for a while, so I thought it would be nice to have it for lunch. I purchased a set of 8 takoyaki for 1150 yen, plus a drink for 150 yen. If you buy the takoyaki alone, it costs 540 yen, and 8 pieces of takoyaki cost 740 yen, so it's actually 1280 yen. Buying the set saves you 130 yen. The sauce is a bit too sweet, but the takoyaki itself is well-cooked and delicious. However, considering the small size, I was worried if it would be filling enough. I only have a childhood memory of takoyaki, so maybe it's not fair to compare, but well, it's quite expensive.

Shibuya Tokyu Food Show, located on the basement floor 1 of the former Tokyu Department Store Toyoko Store at the west exit of Shibuya Station, reopened on July 10, 2021. This store has also moved and been renovated from its previous name, "Dotombori Kukuru Tokyu Department Store Toyoko Store." Octopus balls - 10 pieces (800 yen, tax included) The outside is fluffy and the inside is creamy. It's not crispy on the outside. Compared to other major takoyaki shops, this one has larger octopus pieces. Personally, I would prefer a stronger taste of pickled ginger.
