I visited the "Dynamic Kitchen & Bar Hibiki Nishi-Shinjuku Nomura Building Store" on the 49th floor of the Shinjuku Nomura Building. I chose the Eggplant with Spicy Miso Stir-Fry and Ebi Mushroom Cutlet Set for 1,500 yen, which came with rice, pickles, miso soup, and a self-service drink bar. They also offer a popular "All-You-Can-Eat Silver Shari Lunch" (starting from 1,300 yen) and seasonal limited lunch options. The Eggplant with Spicy Miso Stir-Fry had a delicious flavor similar to pork and leek stir-fry, and the shrimp and mushroom cutlet offered a delightful texture. The self-service drink bar was a nice addition, providing drinks before and after the meal. You can make reservations for "seat only" even for lunch through their official website, and pre-ordering specific menu items is also possible due to longer preparation times for some dishes. The window seats offer a stunning view of the subcenter 200 meters below, creating a luxurious and open atmosphere. They have a wide selection of Japanese whiskies. Previously, the buffet-style meals were very popular, with long lines during lunch hours. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the buffet is no longer available, but their regular lunch menu is still enjoyable. The restaurant also has sunken kotatsu-style seating at the back, making it a great choice for lunch gatherings or welcome/farewell parties.

I visited the restaurant at 11:30 on a weekday, being the first customer. I was seated at a table with a nice view by the window. I ordered the weekly changing W lunch set for 1300 yen. This restaurant serves delicious rice and the side dishes are also consistently good. I have been coming here occasionally for 20 years, and I find the view and atmosphere to be great. It's a very nice place to visit with anyone. Considering the price, the option for free refills on coffee after the meal makes it quite cost-effective. If you want to have a leisurely lunch in Shinjuku, I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Especially without a hometown to return to, I often spend the Bon festival period in the usually quiet Tokyo. This time, I decided to go out for a drink and headed to Shinjuku as usual. However, my familiar small restaurants were all closed for the Bon holidays, so this time I visited Mr. Hibiki's place. They are currently holding a "Lamb & Beer Fair" until August 16th, and they also have a collaboration menu with Kanoya City in Kagoshima Prefecture for the entire month of August. While lamb meat may not be for everyone, the Kagoshima collaboration menu offers dishes made with three-star Kanpachi fish, Shappon Kagoshima chicken, and Kagoshima black pork, providing a different kind of deliciousness. If you have the chance, please try these dishes.

I went with my mother and boyfriend. The food was delicious. The staff was kind, even though there were two order mistakes, they were so nice that it didn't bother us. They explained the dishes in detail, which was enjoyable. There were many types of alcohol, so it was hard to choose, but everything was delicious.

Suntory-affiliated restaurant Kyou occasionally holds events, and this July they are offering a limited-time "Snow Fairy" extremely sweet corn. I visited with my usual partner and a friend after a long time. The manager and the staff seemed new, but the dishes we ordered were all delicious, and the familiar atmosphere of Kyou was still there. I had my usual Japanese sake, with bottles of Hakurakusei and Tsunonogawa (if I remember correctly). The night view from the 49th floor of the Nishi-Shinjuku Nomura Building is very beautiful (although I am used to it), so when you visit Shinjuku, be sure to check it out. As we were about to leave after the meal, I glanced at the kitchen and saw the familiar smiling face of the head chef. I returned the smile and said, "I'll be back!"

A popular Japanese restaurant with a great view, both during the day and at night. I visited for lunch on the day. The counter seats overlooking the glass-walled kitchen were quite interesting. Now, the Double Main and Silver Shari Set with Chicken Nanban and Katsuo Tataki, as the name suggests, comes with two main dishes. It also includes silver shari, miso soup, and pickles. It was quite satisfying. Especially the Chicken Nanban was hot and crispy, with a delicious flavor in the batter and tartar sauce. The miso soup had a good balance of ingredients, with a nice chewiness and a tasty broth. The shimmering silver shari rice had a pleasant texture on the tip of the tongue, with a sweet and deep umami flavor. Being able to enjoy this quality meal in a calm manner during the usually bustling lunchtime is truly precious.

Yesterday, we visited Kyoko on the 49th floor of Shinjuku Nomura Building for a drinking party. We ordered the all-you-can-drink plan and before we knew it, 2 and a half hours had passed. Still feeling like we wanted more conversation and drinks, we headed to another izakaya on the B2 floor for just 30 minutes. Kyoko offers reasonable course options, but if you're someone who eats a lot, be careful as you might not feel satisfied. I ended up drinking too many highballs. Dinner party for the ace sales team. Went to a slightly upscale restaurant called Hibiki. We had a private room without a view, which was actually a good thing as we could be loud without disturbing other customers. We tried the course meal and drink set for the first time, which was served smoothly and included sashimi and steak. The quality was not top-notch but it was good enough. It would have been perfect if it was 20-30% cheaper, but considering the location, it was reasonable. Drink, eat, pay. It's for the sake of the Japanese economy. Thank you for the meal!

I might have gone a bit too heavy for lunch. I was drawn to the bonito dashi cold noodles and decided to try them. The bonito dashi with plum was indeed refreshing and very delicious. At first, I thought the pork kalbi bowl might be too heavy, but the meat was flavorful and well seasoned, and the kimchi and namul were a nice palate cleanser. I realized later that the menu was inspired by Korean cuisine.

It's always crowded and seems to have a lot of reservation customers even on weekdays! Fortunately, we were able to get in on this day! I chose the daily specials. The fried chicken and bonito sashimi were delicious and generously served. After the meal, you can help yourself to drinks. The view is also nice, so I would like to go again.

Lunch comes with all-you-can-drink beverages! It's great that you can have iced tea and iced coffee. I tried a limited-time product. It comes with a beef bowl and soba noodles. It was around 1980 yen, a bit of a luxurious lunch, but there are also options around 1200 yen.

I enjoyed a Hibiki highball while looking at the night view, and it was very delicious. The Hibiki highball is very satisfying even with just one glass. I highly recommend ordering it. However, I felt that the food was not quite worth the price. The service and atmosphere were good, and the drinks were delicious, so I hope they put more effort into the food. The taste of the Black Wagyu sirloin and lean meat steak comparison (each 50g) 100g was good. But for the amount of meat, having salt, miso sauce, and wasabi may be too much and just salt for comparison might be better. The asparagus wrapped in meat was tasty, but the meat was too crispy and interfered with the flavor of the asparagus. The Shirasu and celery omelette was not tasty at all. It lacked any dashi flavor, and adding celery didn't seem to enhance the dish. The sashimi platter had too many sinews in the tuna, and with only three types, I expected better quality. The Unzen ham cutlet was thick, tender, and delicious. The appetizer (snow pea with sesame dressing) was made with freshly ground domestic sesame, which was fragrant and tasty. Overall, the food was delicious, but it felt lacking for the price. Improvements in this area would make the restaurant even better.

At "Dynamic Kitchen & Bar Hibiki," we enjoyed the limited-time "Lamb & Beer & Japan Wine Fair" during this year's Golden Week. Located on the 49th floor of the Nishishinjuku Nomura Building, we indulged in tender and flavorful lamb accompanied by beer and wine. The menu we enjoyed included assorted appetizers, lamb chops with Naito Togarashi spice, grilled lamb shoulder with herb sauce, braised lamb spare ribs, soba noodles with grated yam, and a selection of drinks. The night view of Nishishinjuku from our window table was also worth seeing.

The restaurant "Hibiki," operated by the Suntory group's Dinac, is located on the 49th and 50th floors of the Nomura Building's restaurant district, where you can enjoy a beautiful night view. They offer a course with premium all-you-can-drink option, including draft Premium Malt's beer, Hakurakusei sake, and sparkling wine. We had a relaxing time for 2 hours.

After the meal, when I arrived at the reserved time, the restaurant was almost full of customers. However, they kindly provided us with a table with a view of the night scenery. Despite the rain, the view from the 49th floor was delightful. We only had some light dishes, but they were very delicious. Of course, we also enjoyed the sound, the blue, and the gin.

The night view was nice and the food was delicious. It's said that you can see Mt. Fuji if it's sunny, but it was cloudy that day. It was a set menu, but they changed the ingredients I couldn't eat and I was happy about that. I was able to get a refill drink without waiting.

This store is a visit after a long time. This time, I had the Spring Dawn course with premium all-you-can-drink. The dishes were all delicious, and I was satisfied with the fullness of the menu. In particular, the clam soup and the final mixed rice were delicious.

It's a night in March 2023. On this day, there is a farewell party for an acquaintance on the 49th floor of the Shinjuku Nomura Building. The restaurant is said to be managed by Suntory and is quite spacious. Since it's a high-rise building, the view should be a highlight of this restaurant, so it might be a good idea to make a reservation for a window seat. However, the windows are facing the Tama area, so you won't see the beautiful illuminations of the Skytree or Tokyo Tower. There are also tall buildings in front, so the view is a bit underwhelming. The meal is the "San Course" (tax included 5500 yen) which includes various appetizers, seared bonito, domestic beef steak with grilled vegetables, steamed sea bream and clams, tempura of small squid and mountain vegetables, and soba with grated cherry shrimp. There is nothing particularly outstanding about the food, but it's decent for a large restaurant. It pairs well with Japanese whiskey. Despite the large group, each person's dish was served individually, so it didn't feel like a typical izakaya. I was worried about the service being mainly done by part-timers, but it was not bad. We enjoyed drinking whiskey highballs and had a good time. Thank you for the meal.

The service for foreign guests was taken care of for two consecutive weeks. Having a toast while looking at the silhouette of Mt. Fuji in the evening was spectacular. The prices for drinks were a bit high, but you can enjoy premium Japanese whisky like Yamazaki, which is hard to come by nowadays. The quality of the food varies from good to mediocre. The fried yellowtail cutlet is delicious and well-received by foreigners. However, the bonito sashimi I ordered last week was too fishy. The rich tofu and crispy fried tofu are top-notch in taste. The limited edition Seigoin Daikon Kimchi is so delicious that you would want to take it home. The 100g sirloin steak (3500 yen) is not cheap, but it is tender enough to impress foreigners. On the other hand, the lean beef loin is tough and lacks the expected flavor. The clear downside is the service. I'm sorry, but the student (?) part-time staff is not up to par. They often get the order wrong, either serving too little or too much. It's also hard to flag down a staff member as they seem to be understaffed. You might not feel stressed if you're a couple and don't drink much. Course meals should be fine, but be prepared for stress if you order a la carte. Nevertheless, the unique charm here lies in Japanese whisky. And if you choose carefully, there are delicious dishes to enjoy. I would likely come back for foreign guest entertainment.
