I visited during a quiet time on a weekend afternoon, so I was able to enjoy my meal very leisurely! I came here for the first time because I wanted to eat something extremely spicy. The system allowed me to add more spiciness, so I kept adding more and more until I reached level 9 spiciness. It was so satisfying to feel like I had come to eat a really spicy hot pot! ❤️

Second visit! This time, I ordered the cheese risotto that I had been wanting to try as the final dish! I left it up to the staff to make it for me! They asked about preferences like more or less broth, and made it just the way I liked it. While they were making it, they chatted with me, asking if I liked spicy food, and it was really fun and entertaining. We laughed a lot! The completed cheese risotto was incredibly delicious, with the cheese all melty and satisfying. In addition to the hot pot, I also ordered cheese omelette and potatoes, and it was a delicious and happy meal. Although hot pot is a must-have in winter, I felt like I would like to come back even in summer! Thank you for the meal! ✌️ I will definitely visit again!

I tried the all-you-can-eat option and had the level 3 spiciness. It had a good balance of spiciness and the sweetness of miso, making it delicious. I have visited other branches before, but if it's your first time, I recommend trying the level 3 spiciness! They have a wide variety of hot pot ingredients and it's a favorite restaurant of mine.

This was my first time trying Akakara! I had been curious about it for a while, so I finally got the chance ☺︎ You can choose the spiciness level from 0 to 10, and I decided to challenge myself with a 5!! Surprisingly, it was manageable, so when I ordered more, I chose a level 6 spiciness. That one was definitely spicy! I enjoyed it while sweating a bit and saying "whew" ✌︎ The staff was always attentive, noticing when our pot needed refilling or our glasses and plates were empty, making the dining experience smooth and pleasant! I wanted to try the zosui (rice soup) at the end, but after ordering additional toppings and filling up, I opted for sweet potato ice cream instead! Sweet treats after spicy dishes are truly special. I would love to go back again! Thank you for the meal ☺︎

I visited on a holiday night without a reservation and was seated right away. The seating is limited to 2 hours. Even if you don't use the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink options, there is a 2-hour limit. I ordered the popular red spicy hot pot, but chose the one level up, the 4th spicy level, which wasn't too spicy. I later found out that a 7-8 spicy level is similar to the spiciness of the Moko Tanmen Nakamoto cup noodles sold at Seven-Eleven. There is no call button on the table, so you have to apologize and call the staff yourself.

Located in front of Kinshicho Station, on the third floor of a building, this shop has been open for lunch since implementing shortened hours. While they don't offer any special lunch menu, I decided to give it a try due to the limited dining options in the area. The spacious interior had only one other group of customers. They were seated far apart, following social distancing guidelines. The tomato namul I ordered as a salad substitute was not spicy and tasted just like a salad. The chicken tataki had a strong salty flavor with a hint of green onion and black pepper, which seemed more like a dish meant for drinking. The seseri donburi had a sweet and spicy miso flavor, but there was a subtle smell that bothered me.

I recently found out that there is a restaurant called "Akakara-san" in Kinshicho. We toasted with beer and enjoyed various dishes. The charcoal-grilled chicken was a bit too crispy, but the daikon salad was so delicious that I wanted seconds. Next, we had hot pot with a spice level of 3, which was just right - spicy but flavorful. I made the mistake of adding extra toppings and ended up too full for dessert. Overall, it was a good value restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

A few years ago, I visited a restaurant in Nagoya and hadn't been back since, so I was looking forward to it. It exceeded my expectations and I thought it was a great chain. I ordered the Akakara hot pot, 1980 Karaage (fried chicken) with 2 pieces, Sakura Yukke Cheese-in (raw meat dish with cheese) and Tamagoyaki (egg omelette). They were all delicious! I asked for the hot pot to be zero-spicy at first, then changed it to level 3 spiciness later. Even at zero-spicy, it was tasty enough, but level 3 was just right in terms of spiciness. The hot pot had fried tofu in it, which was surprisingly good. And the Tamagoyaki was amazing! So delicious!

We planned to have lunch with two people at the station, thinking about ordering set meals, but ended up ordering a hot pot after seeing other tables and menus (it's a local specialty after all). We ordered the popular spicy red hot pot with mild spiciness, but were asked to order drinks separately for each person, even though it was daytime and this time of year (there weren't many customers either). I thought it was a bit strange, but since we probably wouldn't even get water with the spicy hot pot, we ordered Oolong tea (330 yen + tax) for each of us. With the need for refills, just this alone would cost over 1000 yen, which made me hesitate a bit. Now, as for the hot pot itself, the taste was good and there were plenty of ingredients, which might be a good amount for lunch and for women. For dessert, we ordered a portion of cheese risotto (they asked if it was for one person), and it turned out to be a generous portion. There was a call button on the table (which seemed to be available elsewhere), but we had to go to the staff multiple times, and I wish they had been more attentive, considering the limited number of staff on duty.

The first time I tried the bean paste, gochujang, and powdered chili pepper dissolved in water, it was the same disappointing experience. I couldn't understand why this dish, which is not particularly cheap and offers subpar service similar to a casual chain izakaya, was so popular. However, I realized that maybe I didn't fully appreciate the flavor last time because I started with a mild spice level and gradually increased it, diluting the taste. This time, I went straight for the highest spice level, but regardless of the spiciness, this was just the taste of this restaurant. Only when I added a lot of vegetables and meat did the umami from the ingredients make it somewhat enjoyable. The recommended ingredients are cabbage, green onions, and hormone. Hormone was large and delicious, adding richness, umami, and sweetness efficiently. If you think about it as a cheap hot pot option, the cost performance is good. However, the service was extremely poor with various issues such as not being able to place additional orders until the pot boils, the 120-minute time limit starting as soon as you sit down, lack of gas exchange apology, only being able to order 5 items at a time, slow service, and unresponsive staff. The table space is small, and the lack of a bell makes it difficult to call for assistance. The earthenware pot is prone to burning, and the dishware is chipped.

It's been eight years since I last visited this place. This was my first time at the Akakara Kinshicho branch. My partner wanted to eat something spicy, so I went along. The staff were friendly, even to families with children. It was a one drink order system, so we ordered a Mega Highball and corn tea, both with lots of ice. We had the Bang Bang Chicken Salad, which was decent for the price. The chicken neck meat took a while to arrive, but it was only 4 pieces and felt a bit lacking. Probably won't order that again. The Akakara spicy hot pot was good, with a nice balance of sweetness and spiciness. The beef tripe had a lot of fat. The Hoto noodles added to the hot pot were the best part. For dessert, we had something like a Yukimi Daifuku. I think I'll take a break from this place for a while. If I come back, I'd like to try Ants Moon instead.

Tabelog rating @3.03 This is a hot pot restaurant in Kinshicho. The hot pot dishes here are very delicious, so I often use this place when going out for drinks after work. The affordable prices are also a great attraction of this casual restaurant. Although there are many seats, it is always crowded, so it is recommended to make a reservation, especially on weekends. On this day, I did not make a reservation, but there were available seats, so we were seated without having to wait. The soup in the hot pot is spicier than the commercially available red hot pot soup, so I can only handle up to level 3 spiciness. Therefore, on this day, I ordered level 3 spiciness and continued to enjoy the hot pot by changing the ingredients until I was full. Spicy hot pot goes well with drinks, so I also enjoyed beer and sour drinks, mainly carbonated drinks.

It's great to be able to eat authentic spicy hot pot late at night. On a scale of 1 to 10, it goes up to 6 and my tongue starts to tingle. I'm not a fan of very spicy food, so I think around a 4-5 is just right for me. The hot pot was decent, better than chain restaurants, and the fried chicken was delicious. Everything else was at a chain restaurant level. If you feel like having a healthy hot pot late at night in Kinshicho, this place might be worth a try. It's great that they're open until 5:00 am!

I visited the restaurant today at 6:00 PM. As expected of a popular chain, reservations are a must! It is located on the 3rd floor of a building just to the right as you exit Kinshicho Station towards Yodobashi Camera. I ordered the "Kurokara Nabe" (spicy hot pot with ma oil and spicy minced meat), which is known as a signature dish. It is definitely spicier than the regular version, even at level 3 spiciness it feels hotter. But it is delicious! This is the true essence of Akakara! It's addictive and satisfying on its own. I highly recommend trying it out!

This time, we visited Akakara Nishikicho store for the October regular meeting of the Zakara Club. We have held regular meetings about three times before, but this time we were able to hold it with a total of 5 members, finally making it feel more like a club meeting. The main purpose of our visit was to try their famous spicy hot pot at Akakara. The menu offered spice levels from 1 to 10, and we chose the Akakara hot pot at level 6 and level 10, super spicy grilled chicken, Caesar salad, and bombshell fried chicken. However, to our surprise, none of the dishes were actually spicy at all. Even the super spicy seasonings we brought with us, like the Thai spicy condiment, did not add much heat. All the members felt unsatisfied with the lack of spiciness. The hot pot was also too salty for our liking. Despite that, it was an enjoyable Zakara meeting with unique and fun members, even though most of us were meeting for the first time. The Zakara level today was below standard!

Located in the Hulic Kinshicho Station Front Building, on the third floor, is Akakara, a restaurant established in 1969 and part of the Koura Group from Aichi Prefecture. They have branches all over Japan, with a significant presence in Aichi, as well as over 40 stores in Tokyo. On a Sunday evening, two of us visited the restaurant. We started with a solo glass of draft beer (529 yen) - a slim Asahi Super Dry mug. We ordered the signature Akakara Nabe hot pot (1,069 yen each) which comes in varying levels of spiciness from Akakara 1 to Akakara 10. We opted for Akakara 10 - the spiciest option. While waiting for the hot pot to cook, we snacked on items like white chicken (270 yen) and spicy mayo cheese potato butter (421 yen). Additionally, we received two free chicken wings as part of a first-time LINE registration service. The Akakara Nabe (Level 10) was indeed very spicy! We added a bottle of beer (572 yen) and a mega highball (702 yen) to help cool down the heat. To make the most of the remaining red hot pot soup, we added tofu (205 yen) and cabbage (313 yen). As we still had soup left, we also ordered ramen (421 yen) and thick udon noodles (421 yen). It was a satisfying and sweat-inducing meal!

I visited Akakara in Kinshicho for the first time! I used to go to other branches often, but this was my first time in Kinshicho, or maybe it just opened recently. The interior was relatively clean and typical of Akakara's style. I like Akakara, but I'm not a fan of very spicy food, so I ordered a level 2 spiciness dish. It's still hot outside, but as it gets cooler, hot pot will become even more delicious. I plan to visit Akakara often this year too! Thank you for the meal.

I had it for the first time in 10 years!! The level 3 spiciness in the hot pot was just right (^o^) The sauce for the chicken wings was sweet and delicious too! I remembered the location so I will definitely go back again♪
