Located on the way towards the Sumida River after exiting Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro, this traditional revolving sushi restaurant has artisans working inside. There is no place to store your belongings or coat. A previous foreign customer placed their coat under their bottom. They accept credit cards. Prices range from 125 yen, with this particular plate having the most variety and being the most reasonable. The sushi rice is small, with a good balance of sweetness, sourness, and saltiness, and the seasoning is just right. The pickled ginger is also delicious. The green tea was quite weak even with extra powder. Wasabi is not included, so you have to take the pre-packaged wasabi available. Visited on a Friday at 7 pm, with about 40% of customers being foreigners. They close at 7:30 pm, so there weren't many plates circulating on the conveyor belt, and we mostly ordered directly. We didn't have time to choose what to eat as the kids were ordering various items and touching plates (which we took all of). The octopus, sea bream, and minced tuna were delicious. The octopus was raw. The quality of the fish is much better compared to large chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants operated by machines. Shellfish was average. Since the rice portions are small, you need to eat quite a bit to feel full. It's more of a light snack rather than a full meal.

This is a revolving sushi restaurant located near Asakusa Station. There is a water bus stop nearby, so it is crowded with tourists. On this day, my friend and I decided to have a light meal and some drinks since there was no wait. The prices range from 125 yen per plate, and they offer a variety of sushi including sea bream and tuna. We started with a toast with beer and then ordered our favorite sushi. The rice portions were small, but the sushi was tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a good experience. Thank you for the meal.

The original sushi restaurant in Asakusa may have a higher level compared to others. There is also a branch in the local Ikebukuro area. Based on my past reviews, the ratings were as follows in visit order: Ogikubo branch "2.5", Ikebukuro branch "2.6", Ebisu branch "2.8". However, last year at the Kameido station front branch "3.1", there was a slight reconsideration, and the Asakusa main branch "3.3" exceeded the average sense. This time, the Asakusa Ekimae branch also seems to be doing well with a rating of "3.3". This chain restaurant has a good balance. In other words, there is a significant difference between good quality and bad quality. The more expensive items like "tuna" and "yellowtail" are relatively good. The "shrimp" dishes are often a hit. On the other hand, the "shellfish" dishes are not as good. The pickled "gizzard shad" and "mackerel" are not to my liking. What's interesting is the "ankimo" (monkfish liver). The "ankimo" at this restaurant is unique. I have repeated this in past reviews, so I won't mention it this time. I don't remember exactly what we ate since I was with someone else, but overall, I felt that the restaurant was quite good. The standout dish for me was the "sea urchin". It was the "Ezobafununi", and it was very delicious. The texture and original flavor were quite good. When reading reviews, there is often a tendency to overly criticize the use of "myoban" (a type of salt). While there are limits, I personally don't think it should be completely dismissed. "Live sakura shrimp" was also good. It felt like sakura shrimp on a battleship sushi. The texture and flavor were excellent, reminiscent of early spring. The "red squid" was also good, with a quality that conveyed the freshness well. The "bluefin tuna" at the original sushi restaurant is consistently good. The chefs were all friendly and the service was good. Given the location, English may be necessary, and they seemed to handle it well.

On March 23, 2017, I stopped by Asakusa Station and decided to grab a light meal before heading back on the Tobu limited express train. I stumbled upon a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called "Ganso Sushi" and decided to give it a try. They offered a plate with both conger eel and eel sushi, as well as a plate of "medium fatty tuna." I also tried the scallops, and in total it cost around 2,000 yen. The taste was similar to the 100 yen conveyor belt sushi places. Most of the customers were foreigners, and the staff spoke to them in English. Overall, I found the cost performance to be poor, and I don't think I'll be going back. I should have just gone to KFC instead.

A revolving sushi restaurant located near Asakusa Station. It's a small restaurant with only counter seats. The atmosphere is not really geared towards foreigners, as only Japanese-speaking locals were present. It's a place to eat quickly, suitable for solo diners or couples. I ordered a draft beer. The restaurant was not very warm, so I kept my jacket on. Most other customers also kept their jackets on. I tried white fish, scallops, sweet shrimp, spicy cod roe salad, and salmon roe. I tried to order horse mackerel, sardines, and bonito, but they were all unavailable. There weren't many people stacking up plates, it seems like most customers just nibble a bit. The sushi rice was small, so I could have eaten more, but it was too cold so I left. Nowadays, many revolving sushi restaurants don't have much rotating sushi, but this one had plenty. Thank you for the meal. The spicy cod roe salad and salmon roe were served on the same plate when I ordered them together, but they were on separate plates.

When I went to Asakusa, I had lunch at the "Ganso Sushi" Asakusa Ekimae store, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant on the way towards Skytree. It's a small restaurant with only counter seats, and even though it was a bit late for lunch, it was packed with customers. The menu has foreign language translations for tourists, and I saw some foreign customers as well. The sushi is made with fresh seafood sourced from Tsukiji Market. The prices vary depending on the color of the plates. There were various types of seasonal fish rotating on the conveyor belt. The Sanma sushi with fatty Sanma fish was deliciously tender. The negitoro gunkan sushi with plenty of green onions was also tasty. The squid was fresh and tasty. I tried a few other plates as well. It's convenient to be able to choose your favorite sushi from the conveyor belt. There were also plates with different types of tuna. The restaurant is close to the station and easy to access, making it suitable for families. If you're craving sushi in Asakusa, it's a great place to stop by. I would love to go back again.

In Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa, there is a chain sushi restaurant called Ganso Sushi. They pride themselves on in-store preparation rather than using a central kitchen. I visited this restaurant over a decade ago, and it seems that they may have changed since then. The sushi rice is a bit heavy and dense, but the toppings are decent. Overall, it's an average conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

Asakusa Station. I have been eating at the original sushi restaurant in various places for a while. I had been shopping and eating in Asakusa during the day, and said goodbye to my friends around 7 o'clock in the evening. But I got a little hungry, so I thought I would stop by the original sushi restaurant alone and eat lightly before going home. I drank oolong highballs. I also had some tea. I enjoyed munching on pickled ginger. There is a service plate for 95 yen plus tax! What a deal! I had 6 plates including engawa, squid, tekka maki, sardine, toro, and horse mackerel, and I am satisfied with the affordable price. The good thing about eating at the opening sushi restaurant is that you can enjoy a little bit and leave. It seems that there are few opening sushi restaurants in Asakusa, so if you want to eat at an opening sushi restaurant around here, this place is the place to go.

I thought we would go for ramen as a final meal after having sake in the underground mall in Asakusa, but my companion suggested going to this conveyor belt sushi restaurant instead. I thought it would be nice to have some sushi, so I agreed. My companion must have noticed this place before we went underground. I was planning to write a review on Tabelog and started with "Original Conveyor Belt Sushi," but when I checked the name, it was actually "Original Sushi" and not "Genroku Sushi (Original Conveyor Belt Sushi)." It was a bit confusing. I had some memories of the restaurant being not very spacious and not many customers as it was late at night. I remember ordering some kind of tuna sushi as it seemed to be their specialty. I had some sushi and cold sake, but nothing particularly stood out. It was just an average experience. Maybe I should visit again during the daytime for a better evaluation, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.

The interior of the restaurant has a traditional layout with a conveyor belt running around the central area. Sushi is made by artisans, not robots. Prices vary slightly between chain stores, with the cheapest plate priced at 125 yen + tax. Another store had the same design for 130 yen + tax. It seems that prices are adjusted based on location. I tried the following dishes: - Special top-grade lean tuna (200 yen + tax): This is a hidden gem of the original sushi menu. The tuna is thick and free of sinew. While the taste may not be exceptional, it is decent for a lean tuna at a revolving sushi restaurant. The quality at the Kawasakiginryu Street store was better. Overall, for the price of two pieces of lean tuna, the quality is commendable compared to other chain stores. - Tuna (125 yen + tax): Lower in quality compared to the special lean tuna in terms of color, taste, and size. - Halibut fin (125 yen + tax): A large piece of flounder fin that offers a unique taste due to its high fat content. It is a good option for sushi lovers. - Scallop (125 yen + tax): Decent and reasonably priced. - Red clam (125 yen + tax): Light in color and taste, with better options available like scallops. - Mackerel (125 yen + tax): Well-prepared and fitting nicely on the rice, offering a modern taste with a mild vinegar flavor. - Tsubugai (125 yen + tax): Similar in quality to other shellfish dishes but slightly more expensive. - Ark shell (125 yen + tax): Price reflects the taste, but the rice portion was small. Overall, the restaurant is conveniently located for tourists, with a fast turnover rate making it easy to visit. It's a good option for those looking to try various dishes while exploring the area.

This is a shop located at the base of Azumabashi on the Asakusa side, overlooking the Sumida River. Since the completion of the Skytree, the pedestrian traffic on Azumabashi has increased significantly as a route from Asakusa to Oshiage. The shop, located at this corner, was frequented before, but it seems that it was the first time visiting since starting to write reviews on Tabelog. In the past, dining in Asakusa was generally considered expensive, but this revolving sushi restaurant in Asakusa had a reasonable impression. When I visited the shop after a long time, there was a crowd in front of the shop, but the staff who came out of the shop said they could seat us immediately. Despite being a group, we were quickly seated in the counter-only interior. The interior of the shop is simple, with the conveyor belt circling around the center. The space is not very large, and with many customers seated closely, it felt cramped. We were guided to the counter seats in the back of the shop. Inside the conveyor belt, two male chefs were busy making sushi in response to customers' orders. When we arrived, there were not many sushi plates rotating on the conveyor belt. The sushi plates were priced differently depending on the type of plate. The most common type was \125 + tax. The shop's unique feature, \95 + tax plates, were the cheapest. We ordered plates priced at \95, \125, and \160. The receipt we received at the time of payment listed the price and quantity of each plate. Overall, the rice was small and the toppings felt a bit small. However, when we saw the sushi that was ordered and served, the toppings looked larger. We ordered freshly made sushi, so the freshness seemed good, but some sushi on the conveyor belt had been rotating for more than 10 rounds. The service was average, with the chefs making sushi upon order. The atmosphere felt cramped due to the traditional revolving sushi restaurant setting. There were also foreign groups of customers. The shop has been around for a long time, but it did not feel particularly cheap this time. The tea was a powdered type, and you pour hot water yourself. Overall, the rating is around 3.0. If it's a revolving sushi restaurant, I would like to see a better variety of sushi rotating. If you have to order to get it, it's no different from a regular sushi restaurant. The convenience of being able to eat quickly is also a good point of revolving sushi, so I felt a bit unsatisfied in that regard. There were foreign customers, but with non-Japanese menu ===========

~Ganso Sushi Asakusa Ekimae Store~ http://www.gansozushi.com/ - Visited alone around 1 pm on a weekday in October 2012 - Average customer spending: 1,200 yen About the Restaurant: Located 1-2 minutes' walk from Asakusa Station, it is a revolving sushi chain with several stores mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Menu Items Consumed: - Ikura (★×2.5) - Engawa (★×2.5) - Hamachi (★×3) - Madaí (★×3) - Tekkamaki (★×3) - Salmon (★×3) - Negitoro Gunkan (★×3) - Shimesaba (★×2.5) - Isojiru (★×3) Impressions of the Day: I felt like having something light, so I decided to drop by. Overall, I think it's not bad for the price (better than other major chains). However, I noticed that the quality of the fish varies. Also, the lack of friendliness from the staff was a bit off-putting. Eat hearty, CEO.

☆Original Sushi Asakusa Ekimae Store☆ When we came to Asakusa with two people, we were looking forward to the sushi at the original sushi Asakusa Ekimae store. However, the taste has changed. It's just an ordinary taste now. It should have been more delicious. The photo is of "engawa" sushi. Since it is a conveyor belt sushi, you have to call the staff to order anything that is not on the belt. I like engawa, so I judge the quality of the restaurant based on the taste of engawa, but it was thin. And the rice was very warm. Warm rice with sushi is a bit strange, isn't it? The salmon was delicious, but the other toppings were not as good as before. We chose this store in Asakusa, but when it comes to dining in Asakusa, we need more options.

This time, I went to a revolving sushi restaurant. I didn't eat much because I was a little full, but the difference from Osaka might be that the sushi rice was warm? However, it was delicious. Asahi Super Dry was in a Sky Tree model. Since this place is in front of the station, it was very crowded. I don't go to revolving sushi restaurants often, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lively atmosphere inside. I wish I could have tried more menu items, but I couldn't eat much. The raw octopus was delicious.

Located right next to the Asakusa Azumabashi water bus stop, I visited this restaurant around 6 o'clock looking for a place to eat for the first time. Despite a few customers inside, I was seated promptly. The starting price is 130 yen per plate! It's truly an impressive conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I started with a draft beer (550 yen). Surprisingly, they don't provide wet towels, only wet tissues on the counter. Well, as long as hands are clean, it's not a problem. I tried the flounder sushi first, and it was delicious right from the start. When I ordered horse mackerel, it was also tasty! I noticed that the chefs were actually making the sushi behind the counter. Lately, I've seen many conveyor belt sushi places where sushi is made by machines, but this restaurant seems different. I also enjoyed the medium fatty tuna and sweet shrimp. On that day, the sea urchin had varying prices, but the basic price was 130 yen. It was a delightful surprise. Conveniently located and easy to find, this conveyor belt sushi restaurant is recommended when visiting Asakusa.

Oh, it's so hot... During lunchtime in Asakusa, it's just scorching. When you want something refreshing, sushi is perfect! I checked my wallet and the time, and naturally ended up at a revolving sushi restaurant. This place is conveniently located right across from Asakusa Matsuya station, like a tourist spot with English letters on the sign. There are probably a lot of foreigners here. Since it's daytime, I'll resist the urge to have a beer. Who are those guys who always drink beer during the day at these types of places? I envy them. The sushi starts at 130 yen per plate, and the taste is decent, no complaints. The restaurant is clean and tidy inside. I usually order items like crab salad and tuna salad, things that seem unique to revolving sushi restaurants. They even have a 99 yen service toro, which I tried, and well, it's what you'd expect for 99 yen... I ordered 7 plates and a crab miso soup, totaling around 1300 yen. It's not bad at all. The chefs are very polite and respectful, and the waitresses work efficiently. It was a pleasant experience.

I visited Asakusa for the first time in years to coincide with the Hagoita Market in December. I was planning to have French cuisine for dinner, so for lunch, I wanted to have Japanese food. I couldn't decide between sushi or tempura, but when I passed by a tempura restaurant recommended by Akira Kamiya on TV, I was put off by the strong smell of sesame oil outside the shop. I didn't want to risk feeling too full until dinner, so I decided to skip the tempura. We then aimed for a lighter option for lunch and ended up at this small but well-reputed revolving sushi restaurant called Kuru Sushi Asakusa Ekimae. The place was tiny, but we managed to get a seat as we arrived early. By peak hours, it was fully packed. The staff, mostly older women, worked efficiently, and the sushi plates were rotating quickly. The clientele was mainly male, with many solo salarymen. There were plenty of affordable sushi options rotating around, and the oysters were particularly delicious. The 99 yen plates on that day were not very appealing, so we didn't try them. But if you choose carefully, you can have a reasonably priced sushi lunch here. However, if you're in Asakusa, it's recommended to visit smaller, independent sushi restaurants instead of chain ones like this. I didn't have much choice this time, but next time, I'll make sure to do some research before deciding where to eat.

I visited the restaurant in the evening in mid-December of the 29th year of Heisei. I arrived at Asakusa Station by subway to take the Tobu Line back home, and then stopped by. I had known about its existence before, but this was my first time visiting. I have been to other shops in the same chain before. The restaurant was quite ordinary, so it would be lucky if the service menu matched my preferences.

Recently, there are no udon or dessert options commonly found in conveyor belt sushi restaurants. As for sushi, there is salmon mayo but I haven't seen any other mayo-based options. If you just want sushi, you'll probably be satisfied, but I wouldn't recommend it for families with children. The restaurant isn't very spacious, and it seems to be frequented by local elderly people and foreigners. Prices start at around 130 yen per plate, with some items costing less than 100 yen as a service, so it's quite affordable and I find myself going there often.

I visited this restaurant while on a business trip from Kansai, and as a Kansai local, I found it surprisingly cheap. The sushi was fresh and the experience was a cultural shock. The cost performance is excellent. I love Engawa, and was delighted to find it priced at 200 yen or less. I had miso soup, 2 beers, and enjoyed about 10 plates of sushi for less than 3000 yen. I visited in October and was able to enjoy limited quantity items like oysters, which were amazing. The energetic atmosphere of the restaurant, with the skilled chef behind the counter, was truly enjoyable. The location is also very convenient.
