Category: [Tokyo] Izakaya [Shibuya] Fried Rice
When it comes to Nagoya-style tebasaki (chicken wings), the first image that comes to mind is Furaibo. When I was in Nagoya, there were chain stores all over the place, and now there are 64 stores, including one in America. Amazing, right? Sekai no Yamachan Shibuya Center-gai store, on the other hand, was a small individual store in Osu when I was in Nagoya, with only one store. Now they have 70 stores, including 9 in Thailand. It makes me worry that the whole world might turn into Nagoya someday. Anyway, I started off with a lucky start by winning a ballpoint pen as a B prize from my first drink.
- Tebasaki (lightly seasoned with extra pepper) 605 yen. The seasoning is light and just right. The eating instructions on the chopstick wrapper are for amateurs. The advanced way to eat the smaller bone of the tebasaki is to crush it with your teeth. That's the SDGs for you.
- Iron Plate Tamasen 638 yen. I just learned that tamasen is a Nagoya specialty, not a nationwide dish.
- Tsukase (5 pieces) 110 yen. I left some ingredients behind and ordered more.
- Ankake Spaghetti 825 yen. When it comes to snacks for alcohol, this is the best. It's not too spicy, but it has a nice kick to it, and it's so delicious that I wish they would start serving it for lunch.
- Miso Kushi-katsu 319 yen. Large chain stores really put effort into perfecting their flavors, and it shows.
And... after seeing this menu, I couldn't resist. I mean, this is Shibuya after all.
- Fried Rice 539 yen. The smoky aroma of the smoked sausage is well preserved, and it's surprisingly delicious.

This is my second time going to Yamachan in the world. Oh, it's delicious. The seasoning is exquisite. This is something Japanese people would love. And it's cheap. Once you eat one, you can't stop because it's so delicious. I hope they open a store in Roppongi or somewhere like that. The Shibuya store has a Korean-style interior, or rather, a futuristic and clean feel, which was nice. It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

[World's Yamachan] Shibuya @sekainoyamachan_official
World's Yamachan, which just opened in Shibuya Center Street on May 16th this year! The interior of the restaurant is designed to resemble a neon izakaya! Ultimately, the number one recommendation is the chicken wings! Chicken wings and alcohol make for an eternal combination, don't they? (Ordered menu items) ▪️Cheddar Cheese ¥517 ▪️Square Highball S ¥462 ▪️Legendary Chicken Wings ¥605 ▪️Kobukuro (potato and pork belly skewers) ¥748 ▪️Chewy Red Bean Butter Balls ¥495 ▪️Shochu Highball with Corn Tea ¥473 ▪️Gin and Tonic ¥495 (Store details) World's Yamachan Shibuya Center Street Store 03-6416-3491 30-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo https://tabelog.com/tokyo/A1303/A130301/13285615/ #Shibuya #ShibuyaGourmet #ShibuyaIzakaya #ShibuyaDrinks #ShibuyaDate #ChickenWings #NagoyaFood #WorldsYamachan #Yamachan

Shibuya, especially around the Inokashira Line ticket gates, is a globally renowned battleground for over 40 yakitori restaurants. In this fierce competition, the long-awaited Yamachan finally made its debut in May 23 years ago. They offer dishes such as the "phantom tebasaki" with a strong pepper flavor, as well as kushikatsu and dotenabe to balance the spiciness of the tebasaki. They also serve Nagoya specialties like ankake spaghetti and tempura-wrapped rice balls. I'll definitely be visiting this place often.

Nagoya-originated, Sekai no Yamachan is a famous restaurant known for its tebasaki (chicken wings). A new branch has opened in the heart of Shibuya's Center Street. I happened to visit shortly after the opening. The tebasaki is indeed flavorful and goes well with drinks, but when you focus on the meat itself, you quickly think of other more delicious options. There is not much difference in terms of both drinks and dishes compared to other chain restaurants in the same price range. If you really want to try the tebasaki here, then this is the place to go.

I used it on Monday night. It is located in Center Gai and the interior of the store is very stylish, completely different from other Yamachan stores. The staff were quick and the order came quickly. The chicken wings were also very delicious. It's a good place to stop by when you're in Shibuya.
