This is a pasta and pizza restaurant located on the B2 floor of the Palette Building at Shinjuku Station West Exit. It is part of the Colowide Group and although there used to be many branches in Tokyo, now there are only 4 left in the 23 wards, including 2 in Shinjuku, Jiyugaoka, and Aoyama. I visited around 3pm for a late lunch. There were seats available inside, but I was asked to write my name on a waiting list and wait for about 5 minutes on the bench outside before being seated at a table in the back of the restaurant. The lunch used to have a reputation of being cheap and not so good, but it seems like the menu has been updated. However, the regular menu still offers delicious options like Cacio e Pepe. On this day, I ordered the mentaiko (spicy cod roe) peperoncino pasta. The peperoncino pasta here has a Japanese twist with a dashi broth-like flavor and a generous amount of mentaiko on top. The pasta was delicious, and I hope this restaurant continues to thrive and not become extinct.

When I want to have lunch or a quick drink alone and don't feel like going to a fancy restaurant, this place is convenient and easy to use. However, it would be even more relaxing if I could order through mobile order instead of having to call the staff for additional orders. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my meal today as well.

Time flew by and I missed lunch, so by the time it was past 3 pm, I was in a pinch. That's when La Pausa came to the rescue. This Italian restaurant in Shinjuku's Nishiguchi Palette Building serves lunch until 5 pm, which is a lifesaver. It's located two floors below ground level, where Uniqlo is also situated. The restaurant is popular among solo female diners, as it's very cozy and spacious, allowing you to enjoy your meal in peace. They offer a variety of lunch menus during weekdays, and the drink corner is complimentary. The pasta is served piping hot and is simply delicious. With lunch menus ranging from 800 to 1000 yen, it's a favorite spot of mine. The sight of robot carts delivering the dishes adds a charming touch. I will definitely visit again.✨✨

I should have stopped myself from going there. Even at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon, it was empty for a reason. The pasta dish cost around 1300 yen. The snow crab pasta had very little actual crab meat, and the shell seemed like it may have been reused. It was just a shell placed on top without any crab flavor or aroma. The pasta itself was clumped together and seemed like it could have been better even if it was from a ready-made package.

I revisited after a long time. It was a lunchtime visit with my son on a holiday. It seems that they no longer offer lunch menus after the state of emergency was lifted. Everything is from the grand menu only. I ordered casually to use up some points. - Large draft beer (tax included 540 yen) This is a 555ml Tokyo Olympics mug. It feels quite cost-effective to have a Super Dry in this size for 540 yen. Super Dry is delicious as always! - Shirasu Japanese-style salad (regular size, tax included 660 yen) A green salad mainly consisting of lettuce with shirasu and chopped seaweed on top. It also comes with four cherry tomatoes. The dressing is Japanese-style and refreshing. The shirasu is a bit salty as it is kettle-boiled shirasu. - Marinated sardines (tax included 330 yen) A typical marinated sardines dish. It tastes quite delicious when squeezed with lemon for a sour kick. Well, it's probably canned, but at this price, there's no problem (laughs). - Cheese fondue (tax included 430 yen) The cheese is served with a flame, but it disappears in just over 10 minutes, so you might want a bit more fuel. I actually asked for a refill of the fried bread, but by the time it arrived, the flame had already gone out, which was a bit disappointing. If you want a refill, it's better to ask for an increase in the amount from the beginning. - French fries (service item for LINE registration) I registered as a friend on LINE and received this. Surprisingly, there was quite a lot. I was surprised that it was tastier than McDonald's (laughs). - Shrimp and coarsely ground meat in Japanese-style sauce As a finishing touch, I had pasta. There were several plump shrimp on top, and a lot of large basil leaves on the top, which added a really nice flavor. It also had tomatoes and komatsuna, and it was quite delicious. The quality at this price is no problem. Even if you eat and drink this much, it doesn't amount to much, so I think this restaurant has good cost performance. Even though they don't have a lunch menu, on the contrary, the individual pasta dishes have lower prices because they don't come with a drink bar, so I think it's fine with just the grand menu. If you want to have a large portion of pasta, the lunch menu is +100 yen, but it becomes +200 yen, which I think is a downside, but if you don't want a large portion, then it's okay not to choose the lunch menu. I would like to visit again sometime. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch is available until 5:00 PM here, which is convenient. I ordered the steamed chicken with mentaiko sauce for 820 yen. Although RapaUza is a chain restaurant, their pasta never disappoints. This one was delicious too! The al dente texture was just right, and the mentaiko sauce was creamy and tasty. The drink bar is included, and it was nice that it wasn't crowded on a weekday at 4:00 PM.

Rapauza will gradually resume operations from October 25th, but I visited the Shinjuku Nishiguchi Palette Building store, which reopened a little earlier. Since it was a Saturday, there was no lunch menu, so I ordered the "Shrimp and Mozzarella Cheese with Spicy Cod Roe Cream" (860 yen). I feel like this menu wasn't available before the business suspension period. As for the taste, the shrimp and mozzarella cheese were quite prominent, and they paired well with the spicy cod roe cream. The cod roe cream had a mild flavor, and I found it quite creamy. A similar menu to this pasta is the "Shrimp in Tomato Cream Sauce," and personally, I felt that the shrimp in tomato cream sauce had a better combination of shrimp and pasta. I hope Rapauza will reopen all stores soon, and I look forward to actively trying out their new menu items!

The restaurant is located on the basement 2 floor of a building that houses Uniqlo. I hadn't used my Colowide benefits points for a while, so I decided to visit and use them. I ordered the Hokkaido salmon and cod roe with Japanese-style miso soy sauce (regular size, 1,090 yen). The food arrived in about 15 minutes. It may be a bit salty when eaten on its own. Maybe they expect you to have it with alcohol? I paid with my benefits card. I used a coupon from Tabelog for a 10% discount, but T-card cannot be used when using benefits points. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

■Reason for choosing the restaurant After finishing my business in Shinjuku, I decided to have a solo drink. I knew they had a drink set menu, so I wanted to give it a try. ■Order Drink Set: 850 yen (tax included) *Includes 1 drink + 2 food items ■Impression Cheap and convenient! The water dumplings weren't piping hot, but considering the price, I have no complaints. The place was quiet, which may have been because it was early. The female staff were also very friendly.

I visited this restaurant on a holiday night in September 2019. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building called Palette Ville. I knew there was a sign, but this was my first visit. Le Petit Cochonnet (2000 yen) is an easy-to-drink red wine with a cute pig label. It's a bit pricey, but there are also cheaper options available. Caprese (430 yen) is a regular Caprese dish. Italian Menchi Katsu (430 yen) was surprisingly good, like something you'd find at a casual drinking spot. Margherita Pizza (630 yen) is 19 centimeters in size and has a normal taste. It's a bit small, so it's good for one person. Salmon and Spinach Cream Sauce (830 yen) also had a normal taste.

Today I went shopping for sales in Shinjuku. When I got off the subway in Shinjuku, one of the first things I saw was this place. When I was unsure about what to have for lunch, I thought about having pasta. I decided to try the Bolognese pasta, which I hadn't had in a while. Before the meal, I had an iced cafe au lait and a mini salad set for an additional 100 yen. The Bolognese pasta was delicious and the place is a safe choice for a meal. The daily pasta lunch set, including a drink, costs 660 yen (tax included), which I think is a good value.

Usually, the restaurant does not offer all-you-can-eat options, but they had a limited-time reservation-only all-you-can-eat event called X'mas Pizza, so three of us decided to try it out. We arrived around 7:30 PM and there were a few people waiting outside. The restaurant was almost full throughout our visit. The all-you-can-eat deal had a 90-minute time limit, offering 14 types of pizza, 5 kinds of pasta, and 2 side dishes. We started with a Caesar salad and a fry basket, and then we could only order once for the whole group at a time. Additional orders were allowed only after returning empty plates. In total, the three of us managed to eat 16 items within the time limit, including going back for seconds on the Caesar salad, 4 cheese pizza, and beef cheek and mushroom pizza. The pizzas this time had a soft and fluffy crust, unlike the thin and crispy ones from before. Overall, the pizzas were all decent, with some standing out more than others. The Christmas dessert pizzas, especially the Christmas wreath shortberry, were a refreshing end to the meal. However, after eating so much, especially the dessert pizzas, we started to feel a bit overwhelmed by the sugar. Considering the low original price, trying to get your money's worth was quite challenging. Some restaurants offer all-you-can-eat options regularly, but ordering a couple of dishes to share among friends might be more than enough.

I visited La Pause for lunch on a holiday (around 2 pm). There are 3 La Pause locations in Shinjuku, but this one is the closest to the station. I sometimes come here, but it's usually crowded during lunchtime, so I visited a bit later. Still, there was a wait of about 10 minutes for 2 people. This place is popular among solo diners, and people seem to relax here, so the turnover rate is not very high. I decided to go for the daily pasta special with extra noodles. I chose the Salsiccia and spinach in cream sauce (extra noodles) for 760 yen. The extra noodles portion was generous and the dish was served piping hot. The cream sauce was surprisingly light, not as rich as I had imagined. The Salsiccia had a herb flavor which paired well with the spinach. The regular portion might feel a bit small, but the extra noodles portion was satisfying. I also had a mini salad for an additional 100 yen, which was decent. I enjoyed the onion-based dressing. For my drink, I had a hot milk tea after the meal. It was nice to relax with a cup of tea after eating. This place is not too noisy, so it's a good spot to unwind. The NS Building location can get noisy with kids around. The daily special is a bit pricier than at the NS Building location, but overall, I think the cost-performance ratio is decent here. The location is convenient too. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

Once again, it's a limited-time pasta menu at Lapauza. This time it's Japanese-style pasta, with 4 dishes using a blend of 7 types of dashi broth. I tried two of them: the Matsutake mushroom and grated daikon dashi Wafu (Japanese-style) carbonara, and the autumn salmon and seaweed dashi Wafu carbonara. The Matsutake mushroom one had a distinctly Japanese flavor, with just a hint of Matsutake aroma and a spicy kick from the grated daikon. The autumn salmon one had a creamy texture with a hint of Japanese taste, more like a salmon cream pasta than a traditional carbonara. Both dishes were tasty, but the portion size was on the smaller side, and the prices were a bit high, likely due to the cost of the dashi broth. Overall, I enjoyed the autumn feel of these dishes and hope they bring back similar items in the future. (2018.10.29)

This is a review of the Italian restaurant "Boiled Pasta & Baked Pizza Lapauza Shinjuku Nishiguchi Palette Building Store" located in Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. The nearest station is Shinjuku Nishiguchi Station on the Toei Oedo Line. I visited the newly opened "Boiled Pasta & Baked Pizza Lapauza Shinjuku Nishiguchi Palette Building Store" and chose the tuna and grilled vegetable tomato sauce from the lunch menu, along with hot lemon tea and homemade cream cheese cake. The tuna and grilled vegetable tomato sauce was not bad in taste. Considering the price and taste, I think the cost performance is high. It's cheap to eat pasta in Shinjuku at this price. Thank you for the meal. I have a blog called "Kimagure ni Gaishoku Sanmai."

We went to an Italian restaurant located in the basement of Shinjuku Palette Building with a friend. The restaurant has a spacious feel with glass partitions and natural light coming in from outside. They mainly serve pasta and pizza, with a wide variety of pasta dishes including fresh pasta. We ordered the "Mushroom and Bacon Soy Sauce Pasta," which had a chewy texture and was incredibly delicious. It's great that you can enjoy quality pasta and pizza for under 1,000 yen. It's perfect for those with a big appetite.

The crab cream pasta is delicious. The fresh pasta is tasty, but the dried pasta was also chewy. The price is affordable, usually less than 1000 yen. It is located on the second basement floor of the Uniqlo building in Shinjuku Station West Exit, with easy access. You can visit without a reservation on Friday evenings.
