Visited Trio Star for lunch on Saturday at 12:30. Ordered the Trio Star Tendon for ¥690. I was craving for a tempura rice bowl on a holiday stroll. The tendon arrived promptly with a generous serving of tempura ingredients including shrimp, squid, chicken, eggplant, lotus root, and more. The tempura pieces were smaller than expected, but the regular tendon for ¥530 is a great deal. Overall, the portion size was just right and the meal was delicious. Next time, I'll try it with soba noodles. Thank you for the meal!

Before noon, I had some errands to run and wanted to go to a lunch place near the station. On my way there, I passed by a restaurant called "Tenya Ebiya" that I used to visit during the old days (and still do now). I had seen on TV recently that their popular dish was the autumn saury tempura. Since it's a seasonal menu that can only be enjoyed now, I decided to postpone my original lunch plan and entered the restaurant. It was almost full even though it was still before 12 o'clock, so I took a seat at the counter. I ordered the domestic autumn tempura bowl. The place kept getting more and more customers, mostly older people, but it was clear that the restaurant was popular. The saury was a bit small, but crispy and delicious. The oysters were big and tasty as well. The portions were quite generous, maybe because of the age group of the customers.

While in Hachioji, I decided to stop by Tenya for lunch. I love shrimp tempura, so I ordered a regular tempura bowl. It was delicious, with two crispy shrimp tempura pieces for just around 600 yen. The pumpkin tempura was also tasty. I usually can't eat too much fried food in a row without feeling sick, but it was so good!

While walking around, I stumbled upon a restaurant called "Tenya" and decided to go in. I ordered the Oyster and Shiitake Mushroom Tendon for 880 yen. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the regular tendon was 500 yen, with the oysters priced at 250 yen and the shiitake mushrooms at 130 yen. It made me feel a bit conflicted about the pricing. Personally, I would have been happy with just the oysters. Maybe even two oysters would have been enough. In hindsight, I should have just ordered the tempura set with oysters on the side, as I'm not a fan of tendon sauce. The miso soup was a bit too salty, perhaps it was overcooked. Overall, the tendon and oysters were delicious and enjoyable.

In the evening after work, I wanted to have a Starbucks focaccia before heading home, so I went to the Starbucks at Octore (formerly Hachioji Tokyu Square) at the north exit of Hachioji Station. Unfortunately, there were no empty seats due to COVID-19 measures, so I gave up. I thought, "Should I just go straight home? Oh, I know, I'll have a tempura bowl!" and came here instead. It was dinner time, but the restaurant was about 70% full. I ordered my usual "tempura bowl, small size, no sauce." It arrived in less than 10 minutes. It was hot, crispy, and delicious. With my JAF membership card and PayPay, it was only ¥398 - so cheap! Thank you for the meal today!

Today, we enjoyed an unbelievable deal of 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink self-service for 500 yen. We headed to this restaurant for a long-awaited visit. We sat at a 4-person table towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered the special "Tenya Day" tendon for 500 yen per person instead of the usual 690 yen. The tendon arrived in just 5 minutes, and it looked more luxurious than a regular tendon with two shrimp. We started eating, but then a couple at a nearby table started arguing loudly and it seemed like it would never end. After the commotion settled down, we finally got to fully enjoy our meal. The tendon was delicious with shrimp, lotus root, pumpkin, and green beans providing a satisfying crunch. The sauce was just the right amount of savory. At 500 yen including tax, the value for money was outstanding. We quickly finished our meal and the Asian staff, although a bit lacking in language skills, provided decent service. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I often use this restaurant and find that the price, service, and quality of the food are all great and offer a good value. The staff is also very professional and the food is served relatively quickly. You can enjoy tempura with free tea for only 500 yen. It's a great deal. I will definitely go back to eat there again!

Today I went to Hachioji with my daughter and we had lunch at "Tenya"! Oh, it just opened recently. My daughter had the "All-Star Tempura Udon" and I ordered the "Tempura Donburi with Small Soba". It was crispy but a bit oily! However, the broth of the udon and soba was well seasoned and had a good flavor! I got a little overwhelmed by the oil halfway through, but the cost performance is still good! It was a satisfying meal. Thank you.

I used a GOTOEAT digital ticket to get a takeout meal at a restaurant during a severe cold wave. The place was empty, so I quickly got my order, an All-Star Tempura Rice Bowl with shrimp, squid, scallops, shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, and green beans for 720 yen. The tempura was delicious and I finished it quickly. They also offer a free tempura dish through their smartphone app, so it's worth installing.
