For me, anytime, anywhere, it's the quick and easy "Kaisen Misaki Port". Lately, I've been visiting this revolving sushi restaurant from the Kyoto Taru group quite often. I've started to become familiar with the unique flavors here, so I have confidence that I won't be disappointed. In simple terms, even though the plates may be a bit more expensive, they provide a satisfying taste, so it's worth it. Now, this restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the Tokyu Store in front of the north exit of Kameari Station on the JR Keisei Line. I was feeling thirsty, so as soon as I entered, I found a convenient spot to gulp down some water and settled at the counter seat. This restaurant has a counter with chefs inside, not just lanes for the customers. The sushi chef was a young woman, but I felt that she skillfully and carefully crafted the sushi. Even when taking photos, I thought she was particularly beautiful compared to other chains.
"North Sea Fair Recommended 5-piece Assortment" (690 yen) - As shown in the photo. It includes scallops labeled as being from Hokkaido, red snow crab battleship, button shrimp, squid somen labeled as being from the Okhotsk Sea, and salmon. When you eat this North Sea Fair, you can feel the taste of early summer in Hokkaido. There are no misses, and it is well put together. Considering that even one piece is about 150 yen including tax, the price seems reasonable.
"Minami Maguro Otoro" (490 yen) - I've been hooked on this recently. Even though it's the same otoro, the impression can vary depending on the part, but this was the best I've had so far. Minami Maguro, also known as Indian Tuna. It's often described as having a rich and sweet fatty texture, but the otoro from Kaisen Misaki Port has a rich fatty taste and sweetness, but rather than richness, it has a strong flavor, sharpness, and a fatty texture that doesn't make you feel heavy. So, even though I usually prefer chutoro over otoro as I get older, this one feels just right.
"Natural Boiled Shrimp" (490 yen) - I've also been into this relatively recently. It has a thick texture with a good shrimp flavor. The texture, aroma, and taste exceed the price.
"Simmered Scallop" (190 yen) - Finished with a sweet sauce. This one gives off a pretty cheap vibe, but it's just a personal way to end the meal. 11 pieces, 1,860 yen. Including tax, it was 2,046 yen. Lately, I feel relatively satisfied when I spend around 2,000 yen at Kaisen Misaki Port. In my mind, there's a clear distinction in color-coding at revolving sushi chain restaurants. Spending between 1,000 yen and 1,500 yen is places like "Kura Sushi", "Tenka Sushi", "Ganso Sushi", etc. Spending around 2,000 yen is places like "Kaisen Misaki Port", "Misaki Maru", "Uogashi Nihonichi", etc. I used to think that Kaisen Misaki Port was up to around 1,500 yen, but I feel that the quality of the ingredients has improved recently.
