I ordered Douraku (sake) hot, and although it was a bit lukewarm at first, when I asked for it to be hotter, they provided a bowl with hot water to warm it up. This kind of service is appreciated. Restaurant ambiance and service evaluation: I usually sit at the counter, but this time I used a private room. The interior of the private room was nice, and the path to the room had a traditional Japanese atmosphere, which was very pleasant. I made a reservation for early Sunday lunch and visited the restaurant. Even without a reservation on the same day, it seemed like we could have gotten a table. I ordered the Akemi course. The meal included a variety of dishes such as steamed egg custard, crab dumplings, crab tempura, crab sushi, and soup. It was a reasonable price and I was able to enjoy plenty of crab. I was worried about the portion size, but it turned out to be just right. I would like to visit again.

Lunchtime, but it's a birthday celebration so we indulged in a Taraba set from a restaurant called Kitami. The Taraba sashimi assortment looked colorful and made me very hungry. This is my favorite dish in the set. The other dishes were also delicious. As a big fan of Taraba, I was very satisfied. The combination of the bitterness of matcha and the sweetness of vanilla ice cream at the end was excellent. It's conveniently located near Shinjuku Station.

I love the Japanese atmosphere inside the restaurant! I tried the snow crab for the first time! I was able to choose how I wanted it prepared, so I had a little bit of sashimi, grilled, and boiled. I learned that boiling makes it easiest to take the meat out. I also ordered the regular menu items like Caesar salad, croquette, shumai, and chawanmushi, and everything was delicious. The attentive and thoughtful service was also wonderful.

After shopping at the Isetan in Shinjuku, I tried to make a reservation at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Store nearby, but it was fully booked. I was able to change my crab suki course to a crab shabu course for an additional 2200 yen. Crab is definitely the way to go, so delicious! My favorite part of the crab course is the crab vinegar, but the crab shabu is also amazingly tasty! Dip it in the broth until it swells up about 1.5 times, then it's ready to eat! The sweetness spreads in your mouth. I enjoyed the course until the very end!

Before the crab season ends, I decided to visit here for the first time with a friend. It was quite late for lunch, but the seats were full. We were seated after about 10 minutes. Since I can't eat a lot, we ordered the lunch course which is a bit more casual than dinner, with the courses called Ariake and Akemi. There were many foreign customers, probably due to the location, and the staff seemed very busy but were very polite and attentive. The highlight of the Akemi course was the crab tempura - the thin legs were crispy and the flavor of the crab spread in my mouth, making me happy. Each dish at Kanidoraku is carefully arranged, making it visually beautiful. The only disappointment was the crab and tofu dumplings. They were elegantly presented in individual dishes, but lacked the flavor of crab... I wish I could taste more of the crab meat. I will visit again next year for the crab season closing. Located just a short walk from Shinjuku Station, this restaurant feels like a different world once you step off the elevator. I opted for the most affordable course, which included appetizers, sashimi, chawanmushi, tempura, sushi, and dessert. It was a satisfying meal, but I wanted more crab so I added a platter with snow crab, king crab, and hairy crab. I left feeling very satisfied! ^_^

I have visited many different branches, but the reason I love this particular store is because of the koto (Japanese harp) performance! You can't see it from the private rooms, but from the regular seats, they play every hour starting around 6:00 pm. I'm grateful for this crab specialty restaurant that you can casually visit. It gets really busy in the winter, so make your reservation early..

I go there every year on January 2nd, but this year the draft beer is bad! The draft beer, maybe Asahi's Extra Gold, seems like it hasn't been cleaned properly. The people I was with also said it was bad, so there's no doubt about it. I reluctantly ordered bottled beer and wine. When the draft beer is bad, the deliciousness of all the dishes is cut in half. I understand that there are no restrictions due to COVID-19 and the restaurant is busy, but please do something about the draft beer.

After accompanying my wife to Keio Department Store, I came to this restaurant at 6 o'clock. The seating is spacious and there are no concerns about COVID-19. It was my first time here, so I tried the crab kaiseki course "Asahi" for 5,500 yen with drinks like draft beer, shochu, and sake. Starting with appetizers like yuba and snow crab vinegar, my wife was excited, saying "Delicious. It melts in your mouth." The crab sashimi and tempura were satisfying in quantity for elderly customers. The crab sushi had a battleship roll with crab miso, which was a first for me. The crab battera was also delicious. Everything had an elegant and delicious taste. My wife expressed her wish that she would like to treat her sister to a meal here when she visits. (laughs)

I forgot which course I ordered, but it was a luxurious course where you can enjoy various ways of eating such as sashimi, boiled, grilled, and tempura. It had been a long time since I last ate crab, so I was really happy. Personally, I think I liked the grilled crab the most! Called "Kani Doraku Shinjuku Honten" but they were fully booked. Managed to get a table at "Kani Doraku Shinjuku Ekimae" with one seat available. Ordered the lunch crab set and various other dishes. The food was delicious and of good quality. Total bill for three people, including drinks, came to 37,180 yen. Overall, a good recovery from the initial reservation mishap!

A customer visited the restaurant after a long time for a promotion celebration. They felt that the size of the crab was smaller than before. They had a conversation with the customer about it. The taste and service were as expected and satisfactory, but it may be due to the high cost of ingredients. It can't be helped. As always, they took home a sushi roll as a souvenir.

I recently tried Kanidouraku after seeing it on TV, and it was a restaurant I had been wanting to visit for a while.
