やっぱりモツが好き
I went to McDonald's for the first time in a while, so I decided to update. I had a Big Mac (370 yen) and a Double Cheeseburger (340 yen). Perhaps because I had visited a few highly rated bakeries on Tabelog, I felt that the bread at McDonald's was somewhat lacking in taste. I also wished the beef patty was a bit thicker. In the end, two items cost 710 yen, which was surprisingly high. The Sausage McMuffin for 100 yen in the morning is cost-effective, but during regular hours, the prices are higher than I expected. The store used to be open 24 hours, but now it closes late at night. McDonald's seems to be facing various challenges.
The limited-time menu this time was the 3rd installment of McDonald's around the world, featuring Australia. I tried the Cheese Aussie Deli (390 yen) with yellow mustard sauce and herb vegetable sauce, which were quite tasty. The pastrami beef inside was a bit salty, and the thin slices lacked volume. The ranking for this promotion was 1st place India, 2nd place Aussie, and 3rd place France.
The limited-time menu this time was the 2nd installment of McDonald's around the world, featuring India. I tried the Mild Gold Masala (380 yen) and Hot Gold Masala (410 yen), both with juicy chicken and curry sauce. The curry sauce was authentic and delicious, and I was impressed by how McDonald's managed to achieve such a high level of flavor with mass-produced sauce. The Indian menu was tasty, unlike the French one. It received high praise as a chicken burger, following the Lemon Salt burger. I look forward to trying the Aussie Deli from the 3rd installment next time.
McDonald's is a well-known fast-food chain in Japan, and even kindergartners are familiar with it. I know it may seem odd to review McDonald's on Tabelog, but I like to try their limited-time menus, so I wanted to share my thoughts as a reminder. This time, the limited-time menu was the 1st installment of McDonald's around the world, featuring France. The Le Grand Tomato (390 yen) and Le Grand Sausage (420 yen) had ciabatta buns, but the texture was not great as they stuck to the roof of my mouth. Overall, this menu was below average. I look forward to trying the Gold Masala from India in the 2nd installment next time.
