I went with my friends on a holiday night. This izakaya is famous for its chicken wings! It won the gold prize in the 2022 Karaage Grand Prix (chicken wings division)! So we ordered the regular chicken wings and the sweet sauce chicken wings, which are the specialties. They were delicious! The chicken wings themselves were tasty, and the seasoning was excellent! The sweet sauce was also delicious, but I preferred the regular chicken wings. However, there were some drawbacks. First, the chicken wings were too hot. They were too hot to eat right away. Also, they were very difficult to eat. There are instructions on how to eat the chicken wings, but we couldn't do it well. My friends also struggled, and ended up eating messily. It's a good place to go with close friends or just guys, but not recommended for a first date or special occasion. The drinks are a bit pricey as well. The location is in Shinjuku 5-chome, which is a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. However, the chicken wings are really delicious! Truly deserving of the Grand Prix gold prize! But considering the accessibility, drink prices, etc., it's a bit of a mixed bag.

You can smoke cigarettes! The chicken wings are delicious, and the alcohol is also tasty. It has a feeling of a cozy izakaya with prices that are not too cheap but not too expensive, just right. There are plenty of seats, and if you'd like, please follow on TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram! (ID) → @hayashi_panda

The wings were straight! (laughs) We tried the specialty dishes, "tome teba" and "ama teba." They were piping hot! Be careful not to burn yourself when eating! The tsukune with egg yolk was delicious, but we couldn't finish it. We wanted to order rice to pour the leftover sauce over it. On that day, chu-hi, green tea highball, and oolong highball were only 290 yen each! What a deal! We ended the meal with pork miso soup. I will definitely visit again to have more "tome teba." Thank you for the meal.

Dinner at Kyushu specialty izakaya "Kyushu Meibutsu Tome Teba":
- Tome Teba (4 pieces) ¥720
- Ama Teba (4 pieces) ¥720
- Chicken breast platter ¥780
- Edamame ¥430
- Grilled chicken heart ¥880
Located near Golden Gai and along Meiji Street, the Shinjuku branch of the Kyushu cuisine izakaya "Kyushu Meibutsu Tome Teba" specializes in Tome Teba, a type of chicken wing born in Kyushu. The Tome Teba here won the highest gold award in the chicken wing category of the nationwide "Karaage Grand Prix" event in 2022, marking its fourth win after 2015, 2018, and 2019. The Tome Teba comes in four varieties: the standard Tome Teba, the sweet Ama Teba, the spicy Kara Teba, and the cold Hie Teba. When you order a glass of Heineken, you get a free Tome Teba as part of a promotion. The Tome Teba and Ama Teba were ordered, served on skewers. They were large and satisfying, freshly fried and piping hot. The fried meat was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Tome Teba had a savory flavor with a hint of salt and pepper, while the Ama Teba had a delicious sweet and savory sauce. The spiciness was milder compared to the nearby "Yamachan" chain, making it more enjoyable. Overall, the Tome Teba was the standout dish, while other snacks were average. If dining with someone who orders something other than Tome Teba, make sure to "stop" them and get more Tome Teba.

"Chicken wings are my favorite dish, and it's not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The thoughtfulness of the manager and staff is very comforting. It's really tough during the pandemic, and I feel sorry for them, but I hope they can continue to be here for a long time. I want to visit again, so thank you in advance."

We have been coming to this restaurant for about 6 years now. When we arrived, we ordered drinks and started with 10 pieces of chicken wings and horse liver sashimi for two people. The staff, including the ones who have been here for a long time, greeted us with their usual smiles and even came out of the kitchen to serve us. The new staff members are also energetic and friendly, which is great to see. The first batch of chicken wings was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of salt. However, the additional order was a bit overcooked and too salty. I recommend trying them without salt.

On Monday night, I visited a restaurant with my boss that is known for its delicious chicken wings. Surprisingly, they have a promotion on Mondays and Tuesdays where the chicken wings are half price! Excited, we ordered both types of chicken wings available - the salted ones and the sweet and spicy ones. They were both delicious and paired perfectly with highball drinks. We also tried their award-winning fried chicken and it did not disappoint. Feeling a bit hungry, we also ordered a raw egg over rice with the sweet and spicy sauce. Overall, even without the half price promotion, this restaurant has earned a spot on my list of places to go back to!

This restaurant focuses on chicken wings, especially the wing tips. I visited this place for the first time, intrigued by their specialty. On Mondays and Tuesdays, the regular price of 170 yen per wing tip is halved. I ordered the "Tome Teba" which is a salt-flavored normal wing tip, and the "Ama Teba" which is marinated in sauce. I also ordered a lemon sour for 500 yen, a sakura minced cutlet for 750 yen, and an appetizer for 300 yen, all excluding tax. The food was served faster than I expected. The menu had instructions on how to eat the wing tips, and following them made it easy to remove the meat from the bones. I started with the salt-flavored wing tip as recommended. The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy and flavorful without any unpleasant smell. There was a hint of sweetness when biting into the meat. The sauce-marinated wing tip had a sweet sauce that was well-infused but not overpowering. The meat was tender and juicy, living up to the reputation of a specialty shop. The sakura minced cutlet was made with horse meat, and it was thick and satisfying. Some parts had a firm texture, while others were tender and flavorful. The onion was cut into large pieces, and I wished I could add the sauce myself as it was slightly spicy. The lemon sour had a strong sour taste, which I enjoyed. The appetizer included seasoned glass noodles and firm fried tofu, although the tofu was a bit tough.

Colleague and I had a get-together at this place for the umpteenth time. I just love the moment when I see these chicken wings, or rather, yakitori. There's something about the sheen and the shape that really excites me. The skin-only skewers, which have been trending lately, are also tempting, but there's something special about this sheen. This restaurant seems to have locations all over the country, I remember seeing one in Kyushu a while back. Chicken is universally popular, loved all over the world. It's been a while since I was in Kyushu, so I don't remember all the details, but that's about it for now. Thanks for the meal!

Ice cream daifuku-like desserts are delicious. There are three flavors of chicken wings: sweet, spicy, and savory. The sweet chicken wings were particularly tasty.
