"Karaage Senchan Edo Tokyo Hakubutsukan-mae" is a new karaage (Japanese fried chicken) shop located next to Hananomai in Ryogoku, facing the quiet street of Kiyosumi. The staff seem to also work at Hananomai, as they come out from the back when an order is placed. I tried the "Uma-shio karaage" (106 yen), "Shoyu karaage", "Red ginger tartar karaage", and "Honey mustard karaage" (128 yen) each. The tartar sauce and honey mustard come on the side. The Uma-shio and shoyu flavors are light, while the honey mustard karaage was delicious. The karaage is light, with firm meat and thin skin. They also offer pizza and bento menu options."

I visited for the first time (^-^)/!! I bought the assorted fried chicken bento (^o^)/! It comes with two types of small-sized fried chicken, two pieces each (^o^)! For the price, the portion felt a bit lacking (^_^;). If I have the chance, I would like to stop by again (^-^)/.

I happened to pass by this place during lunch, and I saw a sign that said "Winner of the Karaage Grand Prix Gold Award"♪ I love eating and making karaage, so I decided to try it out. Honestly, there are only a few places where I go back for their karaage, but the karaage here was really delicious so I wanted to write a review about it. The salt karaage that won the gold award is made with Awaji Island seaweed salt, a place I love and have fond memories of. Using salt from Awaji Island and winning a gold award, I had to buy it right away! They also had other varieties, and the soy sauce karaage was made with "Aged Soshu Soy Sauce and Garlic Soy Sauce". Being from Chiba, I was curious to try it out as well, so I bought both the salt karaage and soy sauce karaage. They were already fried when I bought them, so I didn't have to wait and could enjoy them right away. I had them about an hour later at home, and they were still slightly warm. The shapes were all round and cute, and I wondered how they managed to make them so round. The cooking was even with no uneven parts. The meat was carefully prepared with no greasiness, just the delicious flavor of the meat. The skin was crispy, similar to deep-fried food. Both the soy sauce and salt flavors were delicious, but I personally preferred the salt one. The restaurant has locations not only in Ryogoku but also in Chiba, so I would love to buy from them again if I happen to be nearby.

The nearest station is Ryogoku Station on the Toei Oedo Line, just a 1-minute walk away. I occasionally use this place for evening side dishes, but this time I purchased a chicken main bento from the shop and wanted another dish. This shop is affiliated with Hananomai. I wonder if you can also eat fried chicken at Hananomai? This time, I bought 3 pieces of soy sauce fried chicken and 3 pieces of delicious salt fried chicken. The fried chicken has a strong seasoning. The texture also gives you the feeling of eating chicken, which I like. The soy sauce flavor is slightly strong, but the salt flavor is easy to eat. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to pass by and decided to try it. I bought the Karaage Set (regular size) for ¥599 (includes 2 soy sauce flavored karaage and 2 salt flavored karaage). The meat was juicy and firm. Delicious! The batter was a bit hard, making it a little difficult to eat. The potatoes were also tasty.

A brightly shining specialty fried chicken shop! They offer salt and soy sauce flavored fried chicken, as well as other take-out items like french fries and pizza. The fried chicken is beautifully shaped and wrapped in crispy chicken skin. The seasoning is quite strong and goes well with rice!
