Chuokai Gindako near Morishita Station on the Toei Subway is a typical takoyaki shop located at a prime corner spot near the station. While it may look big from the outside, it is a regular-sized shop. You cannot dine in, but they provide benches and trash cans for those who want to eat on the spot. The regular takoyaki costs 580 yen for 8 pieces, and they also have limited-time flavors like Sesame Miso Oroshi and Torotama Mentaiko for 700 yen for 8 pieces. Since it's in a residential area, they offer a takeout-only pack called "danran pack." I tried the Torotama Mentaiko takoyaki, which had a colorful appearance with brown sauce, yellow egg, pink mentaiko, and green onions on top. The takoyaki was hot and the tororo made it just the right temperature to eat. The tororo had a prominent presence with a smooth texture that lingered on the palate. The mentaiko, on the other hand, was subtle in taste. The egg in the center had a mayo-like flavor and paired well with the sauce. The takoyaki itself was well-cooked, not greasy, and had a nice crispy texture. This kind of casual eatery fits well in the traditional neighborhood, offering decent takoyaki for a snack while exploring the area.

I ordered 8 pieces of takoyaki for ¥580 at Gindaco after a long time. I'm not a big fan of deep-fried takoyaki, so I don't usually eat at Gindaco. But I suddenly felt like having takoyaki, so I decided to take it home. However, it didn't taste good at all. The outside was not crispy, and the inside was kind of powdery. The octopus was very large, which was nice, and it was also very soft. It didn't taste like the usual Gindaco takoyaki.

The official name of the takoyaki is Tsukiji Gin Dako? I always thought the "gin" in Gin Dako referred to Ginza, but with Tsukiji in the name, it's a bit confusing. They are right next to each other though. Now, among takoyaki, I'm not a big fan of Gin Dako. I don't like the fact that they put oil on it at the end to make it crispy, the sweet sauce isn't to my taste, and the mayo with mustard is too spicy while the normal one is too bland. However, in the past, Kyoto Takoyaki aggressively expanded their business with super spicy sauce and various unique options, but they have since disappeared, leaving Gin Dako dominating shopping malls and street corners. Ultimately, it seems that Gin Dako was chosen by consumers through market selection. With the spell "Enjoy your meal!" lingering in the air, I head home... I still don't think it's my favorite (laughs) but I might end up going to buy some. Thank you for the meal!

<Source is too little!!!> I was told it would take 20 minutes for the takoyaki to be ready, so I decided to wait for the freshly baked ones. When they were finally done and I saw them being plated, I noticed that they only brushed the sauce on with one stroke of the brush, isn't that too little??? When I placed my order, I was asked if I wanted the sauce brushed on or served on the side for takeout. I ordered three, with one to eat right away so I asked for it to be brushed on and the other two to have the sauce on the side, but all three were brushed on. Hmm. I didn't want to nitpick, but the sauce was too little to enjoy. I planned to eat it in the car right away, but it wasn't tasty due to the lack of sauce. I had to add more sauce at home before eating. I've never had this issue at other Gindaco stores before, so I won't be visiting this Morishita Ekimae store again!

When walking around town, you can find "Gindako" everywhere. The store in Morishita was opened a few years ago and there used to be huge lines, but now it's calmed down. It seems that they are now selling croissant taiyaki for 210 yen at Gindako. Not all stores have this item, but I happened to see it here and bought one out of curiosity. I baked it in the toaster oven at home before eating it. The outer crispy crust is nice and crunchy. The dough is coated with coarse sugar, giving it a crunchy texture. The filling is smooth red bean paste. I personally prefer a thicker filling, but maybe it's designed to complement the buttery dough? It's delicious, but I'm worried about the calories haha. It would be nice to have a cinnamon flavor or something, spicy and tasty.

The most standard "takoyaki" tasted. The taste is good, with each piece being large. The texture is closer to "fried" rather than "grilled", making it slightly oily. The inside is close to raw, so those who don't like oily food may find it a bit challenging. Overall, it is a reliable and well-made dish typical of a chain restaurant. Located in a great spot near the station, it is popular among the residents of Morishita and consistently has a small line. Tsukiji Gindaco Morishita Ekimae Store. I couldn't believe that there was such a long line just for a 200 yen discount, but I ended up waiting in line too. What I realized while waiting was that even if the line seemed short, I had to wait a long time when they suddenly announced, "We're cooking, so please wait a while." The takoyaki I had was hot and delicious.

Gindaco located near Morishita Station. This time, I went there not for takoyaki, but for taiyaki. Specifically, I tried the limited-time sweet potato taiyaki with a croissant-like crust. It was delicious! The buttery flavor of the crust was rich and tasty. I had heard good things about it and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I bought it. Aside from the sweet potato filling, they also offer other fillings and creams. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend trying it out! Thank you for the meal.

I got takeout from the Gin-Dako at the Morishita Station intersection! I used a LINE coupon and got the negi-mayo takoyaki. In addition to green onions and mayonnaise, the takoyaki also had fried tempura bits and shichimi spice on top. Since it's from Gin-Dako, the takoyaki had a crispy outside and a gooey inside. The green onions were crunchy. I didn't really notice the fried tempura bits, but it was delicious! They also sell croissant taiyaki at this Gin-Dako.

I was in the forest and got a little hungry, so I bought a takeout. I don't usually eat silver grass much, probably about 5 years since I last had it, but it's delicious. There were actually a lot of customers lining up. Thank you for the meal.

I used it after dinner on August 18, 2017. On my way home from work, I was looking for "Gindaco" and found one at Morishita Station. SoftBank users can get free takoyaki (4 pieces) at Tsukiji Gindaco in August. You can choose whether to put mayonnaise on it, so I asked for it. Unlike last week, this store had a lot of bonito flakes! The takoyaki was served piping hot again this time! I hope I can eat it again next week. I hope this information is helpful.
