The sushi here is thicker and more expensive than at regular sushi restaurants, but it is worth the price. They offer a variety of seasonal dishes. The raw ingredients, including bluefin tuna, are fresh. Miso soup is complimentary.

I didn't pay attention to the price and ended up spending around 3500 yen after eating to my heart's content. It was more expensive than I imagined. It's definitely delicious, but when I think about it being three times the price of a typical 100 yen sushi, it feels a bit pricey. However, it's so tasty that I'd like to come back occasionally.

Visited Sushi Choshi Maru in Kitahachioji Makurazaki for bonito. Enjoyed akami, tataki, gunkan, yukke. Also had golden eye snapper, amberjack, striped jack, fresh lean tuna, seared chutoro, live ark shell, chutoro gunkan, horse mackerel, sardine, ark shell, chutoro roll, squid, premium akami, tamago, hamo red miso soup to finish. Striped jack and golden eye snapper were the champions. The ark shell had a nice aroma.

Choshi Maru Hino Store @ Kitahachioji
After a long time, I visited "Choshi Maru" again. I had kinmedai, striped jack, fresh octopus, cured mackerel, cherry salmon, squid, boiled whitebait, ark shell, horse mackerel, premium red tuna, tiger prawn, seared grouper, anago eel, and tuna toro. The best dish was definitely the medium fatty tuna. The meal was served with clam soup and chawanmushi. The chawanmushi was full of ingredients and the tamagoyaki was freshly grilled and tasty. Since I couldn't drink alcohol, I didn't have much.

Today is my birthday and I turned 32. Due to the spread of COVID-19, I have been cooking at home since July 19. However, today I decided to dine out for the first time in a while. I went to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called Choshi Maru, which is just a 10-minute walk from my home. I chose this place after watching MAX Suzuki and Rascal Arai from the TV show "Dekamori Hunter" devouring sushi on TV. I ordered the following items: Ume (plum) with Suzuki (sea bass) meat, Ise Ebi (spiny lobster) miso soup, Warasa (yellowtail) seared sushi, Chutoro (medium fatty tuna) sushi, Suzuki (sea bass) sushi, Namadako (octopus) sushi, Shirayaki (grilled eel) sushi, Gomafugu (blowfish) sashimi, and Miyabi (brand) Tai (sea bream) sashimi. The quality of the seafood was excellent, especially the fresh and plump Ise Ebi and the flavorful Miyabi Tai. The staff provided great service, explaining the dishes and recommending the Ise Ebi. The restaurant also had thorough COVID-19 prevention measures in place. I highly recommend this place to others. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Yesterday's dinner was revolving sushi, which I hadn't had in a while. As appetizers, I had surf clam, sautéed mushrooms, bonito straw-grilled, thread-sail filefish, porcupine fish, and Malley cod – wait, what's that? Cod from Australia, a large freshwater fish! It had a great texture and white flesh. I also had ark shell, horse mackerel, olive yellowtail, sardine, squid, shrimp, lean tuna, simmered octopus, shochu, salmon roe, medium fatty tuna, yellowtail from Hokkaido, fatty tuna collar, and finished off with a steamed egg custard. The champion of the day was the fatty tuna collar ♥️

I regularly go to Sushi Choshi Maru Hino store to drink. Today, I had sashimi, tsubugai, firefly squid, shirako with ponzu as snacks, along with Ruby and highball. The sushi included striped jack, sweet shrimp, greenling, live octopus, pufferfish, ark shell, scallop, surf clam, bluefin tuna, fatty tuna, salmon roe, sea urchin, and more. The sweet shrimp was excellent.

The appetizers were Shirako Ponzu, White Shrimp Karaage, and sashimi including Hokki clam, Red Snapper, Swordfish, Horse Mackerel, Blackthroat Seaperch, and grilled eel. The nigiri sushi included Flat Scallop, Red Mackerel, Southern Bluefin Tuna (Akami & Chutoro), Sea Urchin, Sardine, and Salmon Roe on rice.
