When I was working in Hachioji for about a year, I often had breakfast at the Sukiya Hachioji Higashimachi store. One of the dishes that left a lasting impression was the Taberareru Menma Gyudon. Before a movie at Balt 9, I had about an hour to spare, so I wandered around and started feeling hungry, so I decided to go to Sukiya. This time, I visited the Sukiya Shinjuku Minami store. I have only eaten at this store a few times. When I entered the store, I found that the already cramped counter seats were even more cramped with acrylic dividers, but there was no choice. Ordering was smooth using the touch panel terminal system.
Taberareru Menma Gyudon Tantan Negi Mix 650 yen. This time, the traditional Taberareru Menma Gyudon has been upgraded! It is topped with needle ginger and special Tantan sauce. Sukiya's original Ma La spice is provided in a small dish. It may have surpassed the category of Gyudon. As a food blogger, this is great material. First, I tried the Menma without any sauce. It has a simple and easy-to-eat texture. It's plentiful and simple, which is nice. Towards the back, the Taberareru sauce is applied, and it's delicious again. The Gyudon part is covered with Tantan sauce, which is quite good. Regardless of the compatibility between Menma and Gyudon, as long as it's delicious, it's fine. Next, I tried breaking down the toppings. The sauce is spicy with added ginger, providing a change in taste. Whenever I encounter a new food, my mind gets confused. Finally, I sprinkled a pinch of Sukiya's original Ma La spice. Just a little sprinkle on the dish makes it extremely spicy. My tongue and lips started to tingle. This spice is dangerous. I realized the endless possibilities of Gyudon through this dish. I hope Sukiya continues to release various menu items. I will always be ready to take on the challenge. Thank you for the meal.

Watched the 36th movie of 2020 "The Legend of Hei" @ Balt 9. For the first time in my life, I watched a Chinese anime. The art style was reminiscent of Japanese Showa-era anime. It seems to be highly praised by the general public, but perhaps the strong influence of Hayao Miyazaki's anime is the reason. Unfortunately, it didn't quite resonate with me.
