It's more like morning than noon, they don't serve miso soup! I ordered the recommended mentaiko cheese gyudon and it's a bit spicy. It's convenient to order everything from a tablet instead of using food tickets. They have curry, eel rice bowls, and other healthy options like chicken and tuna rice bowls. It's amazing!

Today, before going to work, I got hungry so I went to Sukiya. I usually have a breakfast set with raw egg over rice, but for some reason, I felt like eating something hearty, so I had a beef bowl with raw egg instead. Beef bowl with raw egg is the best, isn't it? I even thought about getting a second one, haha. The taste is always consistent and reliable, I'm grateful for that. I really think that the fast food industry is what supports the stomachs of the Japanese people. Thank you for the meal today!

I went to the Sukiya Shinjuku Minami store, located a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station in Tokyo, and had the Beef Sukiyaki Set with miso soup for 930 yen. This is a winter classic menu that started two days ago. Just like the Beef Sukiyaki Set I had at Yoshinoya, this has become an annual tradition for me. I arrived before 2 pm and found that the counter seats on the first floor were full, so I moved to the second floor and placed my order using the touch panel. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. One of the appealing features of Sukiya is the two eggs they serve, but I wish they would provide cracked eggs like Yoshinoya. Although the pot was lit, the contents were mostly at room temperature when served. I'm not a fan of raw eggs, so I mixed the eggs and added them to the pot, but it took quite a while for them to start solidifying. The taste of the pot itself is not as sweet as Yoshinoya's, more like a regular home-cooked pot. In terms of portion size, Sukiya offers more, but in terms of appearance, Yoshinoya looks better, so it's about even. Just like Yoshinoya, it's still disappointing that miso soup is not included by default. Another delicious lunch today, thank you!

After work, I got off at Shinjuku and was thinking of going to Tatsuya, but it was getting late so I went to "Sukiya Shinjuku Minami Store" instead. I sat at the counter and ordered a beef bowl. When the beef bowl came out, it was clearly too much sauce. I didn't intend to ask for extra sauce, but it was clearly too saucy. I couldn't help but wonder if they gave a regular beef bowl to someone who actually asked for extra sauce... I ate it while thinking about that. Having extra sauce occasionally is fine, but I don't want to eat it every time. So, this time, I will give a strict evaluation. <Infection prevention list> Hand sanitizer: ○ Ventilation: ○ Social distancing: ○ Partitions, seat spacing Staff masks: ○ Temperature check upon entry: Not conducted

I feel that even when ordering normally, there is an unusually large amount of onions. I wonder if the central kitchen changed their production methods due to the weak yen? It's disappointing to feel like you're not really eating even though there are so many onions. It may be unavoidable in this situation, but I wish they would increase the amount of meat a little more. I like the seasoning, so I still want to use it again, but I hope they increase the amount of meat a bit.

I ate the W Garlic Beef Bowl for 600 yen and the Pork Soup Salad Set for 290 yen at "Sukiya" in Shinjuku (used a coupon for a 50 yen discount). It is located on Koshu Kaido, east from the south exit of the station, past Otsuka Furniture. I have had the W Garlic Beef Bowl at another restaurant before and I really like it because it is topped with plenty of garlic sprouts and garlic, which I, as a garlic lover, really enjoy. It was Friday evening and I don't need to worry about the smell tomorrow, so I stopped by Sukiya on my way home. The garlic is delicious, especially the crispy garlic sprouts. It is mixed with Kochijang, so it is surprisingly spicy and refreshing in the summer heat, but I am not good with spicy food so it was a bit challenging. The pork soup in the set seemed to have fewer ingredients, probably due to the recent increase in vegetable prices, and there were a lot of scraps of vegetables which was disappointing. I regret not choosing the clam soup instead.

I'm transitioning to Google where I can give honest reviews as a customer. I was invited by Satomi Ishihara and visited a gym-like restaurant. I ordered the spicy beef bowl, which I thought was a delicious and well-thought-out menu item. It was tasty. Personally, I prefer it a bit spicier.

I had a beef bowl from Sukiya. Personally, I think the best combination is the Kimchi Beef Bowl. Sukiya's beef bowl is delicious on its own, but their Kimchi, which is also popular in supermarkets, is irresistibly tasty. Sukiya's Kimchi has a perfect balance of spiciness, richness, and sweetness, which pairs amazingly well with the beef bowl. Both the beef bowl and Kimchi have strong flavors, but when eaten together, they enhance each other's taste. It was really delicious. [Menu Received] Kimchi Beef Bowl (Large Size) 700 yen

On this day, I had some business in Shinjuku, and my son requested beef bowl for lunch (lol). So, we decided to go to "Sukiya," a place we had never been before. It was lunchtime and the place was packed, but luckily there was a second floor. Although the second floor was almost full too, we managed to find an empty table at the right time. We ordered using a tablet (*2)! I ordered the "Shiraga Negi Gyudon Regular" and my eldest son ordered the "Gyudon Large," totaling 980 yen. I love green onions, especially when they are limited edition. My son loves beef bowls, so he got the large size. The staff tried to give me the large size instead, as they probably thought my son wouldn't eat it all (lol). As for the taste, the Shiraga Negi Gyudon had a surprisingly generous amount of chopped green onions with a salt-based sauce, which paired well with the beef bowl! My son's beef bowl was just the regular version. Apparently, he prefers Matsuya's beef bowls... Can he really tell the difference? (lol) Now, the issue is not the taste. I have a couple of things I would like to ask everyone. *1 Let's refrain from bringing strollers into obviously narrow stores. It makes it difficult for people to pass through, right? This is not meant to discourage people with babies, so please don't misunderstand. *2 Even though you can use a smartphone, saying "I don't know how to use a tablet, so I'll just order orally" is not a good idea. The staff seems very busy, right...? Thank you to the staff for handling various customers without making a fuss! (*^^*)

I tried the new menu item, Yakisoba Gyudon Omurice Curry Mix (690 yen), at the Sukiya Shinjuku Minami store, located a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station in Tokyo. Despite not usually being interested in new items at Sukiya, this menu caught my attention. I arrived around 1:30 PM and the restaurant was about 60% full. I ordered using the touch panel and received my food in just over 5 minutes. The appearance was quite unappealing (laughs) with yakisoba on top of the gyudon, topped with spinach scrambled egg and curry sauce. It's a carb-loaded dish. The taste was a mix of curry, yakisoba sauce, and gyudon broth, with the curry flavor dominating when mixed together. It was surprisingly delicious, and I felt like I got a good deal using my Rakuten points for payment. Itadakimasu!

I had the Wasabi-yama Kake Gyudon (medium size) with a salad set. It was my first time trying the medium size, but it's great - less rice and 40% more meat. Perfect for those looking to cut down on carbs! The taste was consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely come back!

When I was working in Hachioji for about a year, I often had breakfast at the Sukiya Hachioji Higashimachi store. One of the dishes that left a lasting impression was the Taberareru Menma Gyudon. Before a movie at Balt 9, I had about an hour to spare, so I wandered around and started feeling hungry, so I decided to go to Sukiya. This time, I visited the Sukiya Shinjuku Minami store. I have only eaten at this store a few times. When I entered the store, I found that the already cramped counter seats were even more cramped with acrylic dividers, but there was no choice. Ordering was smooth using the touch panel terminal system. Taberareru Menma Gyudon Tantan Negi Mix 650 yen. This time, the traditional Taberareru Menma Gyudon has been upgraded! It is topped with needle ginger and special Tantan sauce. Sukiya's original Ma La spice is provided in a small dish. It may have surpassed the category of Gyudon. As a food blogger, this is great material. First, I tried the Menma without any sauce. It has a simple and easy-to-eat texture. It's plentiful and simple, which is nice. Towards the back, the Taberareru sauce is applied, and it's delicious again. The Gyudon part is covered with Tantan sauce, which is quite good. Regardless of the compatibility between Menma and Gyudon, as long as it's delicious, it's fine. Next, I tried breaking down the toppings. The sauce is spicy with added ginger, providing a change in taste. Whenever I encounter a new food, my mind gets confused. Finally, I sprinkled a pinch of Sukiya's original Ma La spice. Just a little sprinkle on the dish makes it extremely spicy. My tongue and lips started to tingle. This spice is dangerous. I realized the endless possibilities of Gyudon through this dish. I hope Sukiya continues to release various menu items. I will always be ready to take on the challenge. Thank you for the meal. ********************************************************************* Watched the 36th movie of 2020 "The Legend of Hei" @ Balt 9. For the first time in my life, I watched a Chinese anime. The art style was reminiscent of Japanese Showa-era anime. It seems to be highly praised by the general public, but perhaps the strong influence of Hayao Miyazaki's anime is the reason. Unfortunately, it didn't quite resonate with me.

I went to Shinjuku. "Tatsuya" was crowded, so I went to "Sukiya Shinjuku Minami Store" located next to Otsuka Furniture. When I entered the store, there were transparent partition boards at the counter seats. I saw partition boards at Matsuya, and now they have them at Sukiya too. The partition boards were transparent, allowing a clear view of the next seat. I had a beef bowl with pickled ginger, shichimi chili pepper, and dressing on top. It was delicious.

I tried the unagi beef and miso soup set for 970 yen at the Sukiya Shinjuku Minami branch, which is a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station in Tokyo. I usually prefer Yoshinoya for gyudon and Matsuya for curry, so I'm not a big fan of Sukiya, but I wanted to try this menu once. I ordered verbally and received my dish in 5 minutes. The bowl had water stains on the rim, which is typical of Sukiya quality (laughs). The unagi beef was quite large and had a fluffy texture, and it was quite delicious.

This is a "Sukiya" restaurant located along the Koshu Kaido near Shinjuku South Exit. As expected in this bustling city, even at around 11:30 PM, the seats are always full. This time, I ordered a regular Gyudon (¥350) with a raw egg topping (¥60) and Kochi sauce (¥20). It was ready in about 2 minutes. I had a similar combination of Gyudon with Kochi sauce and a soft-boiled egg about a week ago, so this time wasn't much different. If anything, the spiciness of the Kochi sauce stands out more with the raw egg compared to the soft-boiled egg. Maybe next time I'll try the same combination with a Butadon.

- Beef bowl and curry are the two main dishes of this nationwide chain restaurant. They offer a variety of toppings that set them apart from other major chains. - Restaurant: This chain restaurant accepts transportation IC cards. It is operated by Zen-Sho Holdings, under the management of Sukiya Co., Ltd. The president, Kentaro Ogawa, is a former employee of the beef bowl chain Yoshinoya. Sukiya has a total of 1,930 stores across Japan, making it the chain with the most stores in all 47 prefectures (as of June 2019). It originated in 1982 as a bento shop called "Lunch Box Namamugi-ten," and in the same year, they opened their first beef bowl store, "Sukiya Namamugi Ekimae-ten," in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. The name "Sukiya" is a play on words combining "sukiyaki" and "suki" (like). - Ilya, Rin, and Sakura gather for a victory. The store is located near the southeast exit.

Sukiya Shinjuku Minami store, a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station in Tokyo, offers a Beef Sukiyaki Set for 780 yen. I visited Sukiya yesterday when they started serving beef sukiyaki, but was told that sales are suspended from 11:00 to 14:00. So, I arrived before 11:00 today for a rematch. It's been about 4 years since I last visited Sukiya. The staff lady seemed like a new employee, and when I ordered "Beef sukiyaki regular," she replied, "Regular with less beef, right?" which made me worried. Indeed, she was telling the kitchen to give me "Regular with less beef," so I quickly corrected her to "Beef sukiyaki, not with less beef!" The food arrived in about 5 minutes, and I love that it comes with 2 eggs, but I wish they would serve cracked eggs like Yoshinoya. The pot had a flame underneath, but it was lukewarm when served. I'm not a fan of raw eggs, so I mixed the eggs and added them to the pot, but it took quite some time to start solidifying. The taste of the sukiyaki was not as sweet as Yoshinoya's, more like a regular home-cooked pot. The portion size was generous at Sukiya, but in terms of taste and presentation, I think Yoshinoya's beef sukiyaki is better. Overall, it was a decent lunch today!

I used this place on the way back from band rehearsal. The restaurant is two stories high and has 4-person seating, which is very convenient. My go-to order is the tuna yukke bowl with a spicy sauce and raw egg. I really like mixing it all together and eating it. I also tried the limited edition? new menu? curry-flavored pork miso soup, and it was a perfect blend of curry and pork miso flavors without fighting each other. Well done!

A chain restaurant located right at the intersection of Meiji Street and Koshu Kaido at Shinjuku 4-chome. Their selling point is the low price of 330 yen for both gyudon and curry rice, which has made me a frequent customer recently. They offer a variety of options based on this 330 yen price point, with a mini size being perfect for breakfast. The curry mini is priced at 250 yen. There is also a mini size available for the gyudon. It's convenient to grab a quick meal before hopping on the JR train, and it seems to attract a lot of budget-conscious salarymen who come in to enjoy their curry rice. Some even opt for the cheese topping in the morning. They also have a breakfast set menu starting at 280 yen, which includes miso soup. From there, you can choose additional options like tonjiru, grilled fish, or natto. I might try the miso soup next time.
