Platto, today's lunch was a stroll around Shinjuku and Shinjuku Sanchome. Exiting the JR Shinjuku Station East ticket gate, I walked towards Shinjuku Street... Walking towards Yotsuya on Shinjuku Street, I turned left at the traffic light on the east side of Shinjuku Sanchome, and a little past the first crossroads underground, I visited the "Hakata Kawakushi, Kochi Gyoza Sakaba Futamata Shinjuku Sanchome Store" today. I entered the store on the basement floor at 12:50 on a weekday. Upon entering the store, the right side was the seating area, and the left side was the kitchen. I was guided to a table seat at the back left of the seating area. As I made my way to the table, I looked around the store and saw two pairs of men and one man dining alone, totaling six people. I sat at the table and checked the menu. The menu included: All-you-can-eat - Karaage, Mentaiko all-you-can-eat for 900 yen Lunch Menu - Pork belly bowl for 700 yen - Oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) for 700 yen - Negitoro bowl for 800 yen - Karaage set meal for 600 yen - Chicken teriyaki set meal for 600 yen - Motsu miso teppanyaki set meal for 800 yen - Kochi Gyoza, Karaage set meal (7 gyoza) for 600 yen - Kochi Gyoza, Karaage set meal (14 gyoza) for 700 yen - Spicy noodles (with rice) for 600 yen Toppings - 2 pieces of karaage for +100 yen - Bean sprout namul for +100 yen. Looking at the serving status of the previous customers, only two men dining alone were eating, while the remaining four were waiting for their orders. Since the all-you-can-eat option seemed time-consuming, I ordered the "Kochi Gyoza, Karaage set meal (14 gyoza)" which seemed filling. After waiting for 15 minutes, the "Kochi Gyoza, Karaage set meal (14 gyoza)" was served. The set meal included 14 gyoza, 2 pieces of karaage, mentaiko (spicy cod roe), rice, and miso soup. I tried the "Kochi Gyoza." They were small enough to eat in one bite, with a thin skin and a crispy texture, different from both pan-fried and deep-fried gyoza, and delicious. I tried the "Karaage." Since some customers were having the all-you-can-eat option, I received freshly fried karaage. The crispy coating and juicy meat were satisfying. Two pieces were enough for me at that size. I continued to enjoy the Kochi Gyoza and Karaage, and after getting a normal rice refill, I finished my meal. Today, I was satisfied with the pan-fried Kochi Gyoza. Thank you for the meal.
