I visited the third restaurant, Beniton Ueno Youth Road branch, after going to the President Branch and Kadokura and still feeling like I hadn't had enough to drink. I arrived at the restaurant just before 5 pm and it was quite crowded. I sat at the counter and ordered a beer, Gatsupon (guts with ponzu sauce), cabbage, and grilled skewers. The Gatsupon, which is the restaurant's specialty, was served quickly and was delicious and affordable, making it a perfect accompaniment to alcohol. The skewers were a bit expensive at 147 yen each in the Ueno area, but the side dishes were very cheap, so the cost performance was high. I initially thought of keeping it light since it was the third restaurant, but ended up ordering one or two more dishes, so the total bill came to just over 2,000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

I was unconsciously taking photos, so I only have records. I was having a heated discussion with friends, and I don't remember much about the place because we went there after drinking elsewhere. The bottled beer was cheap, and the skewers were more delicious and reasonably priced than I had imagined. I want to go again next time when I'm hungry and in good condition.

Today we went to Asakusa. It was my first visit to Beniton-san. I had been curious about it for a while, so I was excited and nervous. It was a weekday, but it seemed very lively. I started with shochu highball. The appetizers we had were: - Hatsukoi (chicken hearts) - Kabu miso (miso with turnips) - Chorizo - Moyashi namul (bean sprout namul) - Liver Hatsukoi was very delicious with lots of garlic. It went well with the drinks. And of course, the miso was amazing. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

Today I met up with a senior colleague who I'm grateful for, after a long time. Since they are a heavy smoker, we naturally chose a smoking-permitted restaurant. The area from Ueno to Okachimachi, known as Ameyoko, has many casual drinking spots and is a lively area even during the daytime on weekdays. This restaurant is located one street away from the main street, just off JR Ueno Station, facing Marui department store. The interior is filled with customers enjoying casual drinks, although the chairs are not very comfortable. I couldn't take many photos, but I thought each dish was reasonably priced and it's an easy place to drop by. Thank you for the meal.

Located a 2-minute walk from the Hirokoji exit of JR Ueno Station, just across Central Street and down a side street next to Ueno Marui, this restaurant offers a wide open space with mostly table seating. They specialize in charcoal-grilled skewers of pork, chicken, and vegetables, along with affordable drinks. Here are some of the dishes we ordered:
- Charcoal-grilled skewers (July 31, 2020): We ordered beef, skirt steak, and green onion skewers. They were cooked just right, tender and delicious, with a nice pork flavor.
- Chicken meatball skewers (July 31, 2020): These skewers were made with a single piece of juicy and tender chicken meatball, full of flavor and perfect with the sweet and savory sauce.
- Red hot dog (July 31, 2020): A nostalgic menu item that both kids and adults will enjoy, with a slightly spicy kick from the black pepper, complemented well by ketchup.
- French fries (July 31, 2020): These shoestring fries were crispy and perfect for snacking with drinks.
- Edamame (July 31, 2020): Perfectly salted and cooked with a nice bite, a simple yet delicious snack.
- Black Nikka Highball (July 31, 2020): Most highballs can be upgraded to a large size for an additional fee, which is quite a deal as you get more than double the usual amount. The skewers were the highlight of the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had a drinking party with a friend who lives in Ueno. The place was located behind Marui. My friend always keeps a bottle of JINRO and seems to consume one and a half bottles every week. It was the weekend, so the place was almost full. There were many young groups such as girls' gatherings and drinking parties. The tables and chairs were quite high and the chairs were round, so you have to be careful not to roll. There were also counter seats, which are good for drinking alone. We were seated at a table in the back, which made it hard for the staff to notice us and take our order. ★ The chorizo was quite spicy, but it went well with highballs. ★ The grilled pig liver was quite popular and sometimes sold out. We ordered it with sauce, and it went well with mustard. ★ The miso and spicy bean sprout salad was refreshing. ★ Boiled peanuts were simple and easy to eat. ★ Beef hormone tofu was recommended by my friend. It came in a large-sized iron pot, which was surprising. It was more than enough for four people to share. The hormone and soup were delicious. This is a must-order dish. My friend had JINRO, so I ordered a decanter of oolong tea and drank oolong highballs. The bill was less than 4000 yen per person. I thought it was a good value for money.

Today I drank here♪ Tonight I am invited to a blowfish cuisine restaurant run by a friend, but I may arrive a little early, so I decided to get off at Ueno and have a drink before heading there (* ´ ▽ ` *) It was a long time since I had a drink in Ueno, so I was looking for a nice place to drink, but since it was the New Year's holiday, every place was full and I was turned down by a few places, so I was about to give up, but then I found this place where I had been before and they welcomed me~(^_^)v The inside of the restaurant was almost full, but there was one table on the terrace (lol), so I was allowed to sit there! The staff noticed and asked if I wasn't cold and if they should bring me a lap blanket. They were very kind, but since the inside was full and there was a lot of smoke, I didn't want the smell to stick to my clothes, so I deliberately chose to sit outside (^-^; Many passersby looked at the terrace and then peeked into the restaurant before coming in as customers too ( *´艸) Like Sandwitchman? I ordered chicken skin, ham cutlet, simmered tripe, and highball for the start of the year (* ´ ▽ ` *) They were served fairly quickly. I forgot to ask for the chicken skin to be crispy when ordering, but it was nicely crispy o(^o^)o I basked in happiness♪ The ham cutlet was hot when served, but it quickly cooled down outside, but it was a safe and delicious taste. The simmered tripe had a strong flavor and the tripe was cooked tenderly. So delicious! I ordered another highball and the total was 1,760 yen. The cost performance is good, right? After about an hour, it started to get cold, so I headed to Asakusa, my destination. Thank you for the meal♪

It was not crowded, probably because it was Monday. The restaurant was located near the station and allowed smoking. The grilled dishes were covered with a sweet sauce.

When I went, there were 100% male customers. I was surprised how the atmosphere changed so much between the first and second floors. The yakitori was delicious. I had it with a half of shirokuro hoppy. It's addictive!

The restaurant had a lively and slightly dirty atmosphere. I visited around 7pm on a Sunday and about 90% of the seats were filled. We were seated near the entrance, which was a bit cold, but we still enjoyed some drinks and grilled skewers. I had a Nikka Highball for ¥380 (tax included) and a freshly squeezed pineapple sour for ¥430 (tax included). The pineapple sour had too much pineapple pulp, making it more like a smoothie. The place was crowded, so it took some time for the drinks to be served, and they were out of hand towels. When I asked for one, they gave me a bottle of wet tissues instead. The staff seemed a bit worn out, which was a bit concerning. The biggest advantage of this place is its affordable prices. The skewers were tasty and reasonably priced. I ordered chicken breast with plum for ¥140 (tax included) and harami with sauce for ¥140 (tax included). The potato dish was popular among customers, and my friend ordered it as well. Once you start eating the potatoes, you can't stop. The service was a bit blunt, but maybe it was just one of those days. Overall, if you're looking for a place to drink and eat affordably in Ueno, this is a good option.

After enjoying yakiniku, we decided to visit a yakitori restaurant. Luckily, there was a table available when we arrived, so we didn't have to wander around the bustling area. We started with a highball (^_^)/□☆□\(^_^) Cheers! The liver had a slightly strong smell, but the harami and chicken skin were delicious as usual (*´∀`)♪ The staff, who seemed to be from South America, tried their best to speak Japanese. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was retro and cozy, which Tonbo really liked. Thank you for the meal♪

You can easily enter the popular Kon-Ton restaurant around 6 p.m. on Sundays. I tried the grilled tongue which had a burnt and smoky taste, and the spicy red Kara Motsu stew which was delicious. They offer three types of highballs in large sizes. This is just an ordinary restaurant, so it's a good place to casually drop by without any pretense. The "Hatsu Koi" dish, which is prepared with low-temperature cooking, is very tasty. When ordering, saying "Hatsu Koi please" might make you feel a little excited too.

I went to Asakusa Temple for Hatsumode on New Year's Day and stopped by this place called Nogeyo Kurenai on the way back. I really love their red miso soup, but the food here was also great. I noticed that the menu varies from one location to another, as the Nogeyo branch had a wide selection of fried skewers that this place didn't offer. However, the menu here was still very appealing, making me want to try everything. The restaurant was bustling even on New Year's Day, and the female staff members were lively and friendly. They took our orders quickly, cleared empty plates promptly, and the grilled chicken was absolutely delicious. The sauce was also fantastic, especially on the liver skewers. Overall, the food was a perfect match for drinks, and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

The menu looks delicious based on the variety offered. As a fan of junk food, I had high expectations when ordering, but the tonkatsu had a greasy coating and lacked the texture of the ham. The chicken skin was also soggy with no crispiness. It's not just this place, but ordering draft beer in this area often makes me question if it's really beer. I'm not sure why. I probably won't visit this place again... The atmosphere of the restaurant is not bad, so it might be suitable for young people to have a lively time.

<2016.02 Revisit> I visited this store once before. The thrill of potentially getting drunk depending on the choice of sake is quite exciting. With that in mind, I decided to visit again. It was around 7:00 PM when I visited. The store was about half full, with the counter seats all taken by solo customers. Here is what we ordered, as there were two of us. Macaroni salad (180 yen), bean sprout namul (180 yen), white tare (1 for 140 yen), Kesenuma-style horumon (380 yen), Saitama-grown pickled shakushi greens (320 yen), quail soy sauce pickles (230 yen), and several chu-hi drinks. As it approached 8:00 PM, the store became full and it became difficult to place orders as there were only two staff members serving. It's unfortunate that cost-cutting measures like this can affect the customer experience. Despite saying that, once the alcohol kicks in, I tend to not care. After about 5 or 6 drinks, I started to feel quite drunk. I was aware that things were getting a bit intense, but I have a bad habit of continuing to drink. The food and drinks were satisfactory, and I left the store feeling content. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I visited Beniton Ueno Okachimachi for the first time and it wasn't bad, so I decided to come here near Ueno Station. The menu content seems to be the same. Just like when I visited the other day, there are many foreign part-time workers. Onion slices for 195 yen. Edamame for 216 yen. For grilled items, I ordered salt-grilled chicken breast, quail, and beef tongue, each for 152 yen per skewer. The taste was not bad. I ordered a Shitamachi Highball but was mistakenly given a Black Nikka Highball, but it was fine. Thank you for the meal.
