At Scramble Square for lunch, even after 1 pm, every place was crowded with foreign tourists. When I asked about the wait time, they said it was 15 minutes, so I lined up and got seated in about 25 minutes. I ordered while waiting in line, so the food was served quickly. I started with xiaolongbao, followed by noodles, which took longer. The soup had a sour and herbal flavor, and the noodles were thin, like Chinese-style ramen.

I tried a special summer menu. It could have been a bit more flavorful, but it was refreshing and delicious. And I also had my favorite shrimp dumplings. They are always satisfying and delicious when served hot. The bill came to about 5900 yen. I paid with a 5000 yen voucher and the remaining in cash. However, they didn't stamp my card for some reason. When I asked, the staff said it's from 1000 yen and up, but shouldn't they stamp for every 1000 yen spent? They usually do. The young student part-time staff working during summer vacation seemed a bit inexperienced this time. It was a bit disappointing, maybe due to the local atmosphere.

I visited on Friday night without a reservation and received a numbered ticket. I waited in line for about 45 minutes before being seated, which was not too bad. We ordered xiaolongbao, fried rice, spicy ramen, and daikon mochi, and the food came out very quickly. The xiaolongbao was good, nothing special. The best dish was the shrimp fried rice! I thought we ordered too much, but it was delicious and easy to eat.

I felt like eating xiaolongbao, so I visited Din Tai Fung in Shibuya Scramble Square. I decided on the menu during the 30-minute wait! I ordered the default normal xiaolongbao, as well as crab miso xiaolongbao, pork fried rice, and drunken chicken. Recently, more branches have been opening up, but all the stores have consistently good taste. However, the new branches have fewer staff and inexperienced management, so the service is still lacking.

I visited during lunch on a holiday. The restaurant floor at Shibuya Scramble Square was bustling, and when I received a ticket, it seemed like a 50-minute wait. I had xiaolongbao and zhajiangmian. It was delicious.

At the entrance, you receive a menu, an order sheet, and a pen to fill out while waiting. You wait outside on a waiting seat until your number is called, which takes about 15 minutes, even before 6 PM, it seems to be popular among inbound customers. The specialty seems to be the soup dumplings, as everyone seems to be ordering them. The soup inside and the texture of the dumplings are delicious. Takeout is also available, with a counter outside for that purpose.

Shrimp fried rice set for ¥1850. Prices keep going up, but is this taste worth it? Why isn't Din Tai Fung in Japan as delicious? I can't taste the umami. The Shibuya location of GW is crowded as usual. I went for lunch a bit early. I ordered a set of shark fin sauce fried rice and xiaolongbao. It comes with soup and salad, but the shark fin sauce fried rice, soup, and salad were just average. They weren't served hot. However, the xiaolongbao was delicious as always. I think if you come here, just focus on eating the xiaolongbao. That's the way to go. I'll definitely do that next time!

I used this restaurant because it was open late at night in Shibuya. I arrived around 9pm and there were about 3 groups waiting in front of me. It was crowded, but the service was not too slow. I didn't order the xiaolongbao this time, but I would like to try it next time.

Taiwanese bamboo shoots are in season now. Every year during this season, Din Tai Fung offers seasonal limited dishes featuring Taiwanese bamboo shoots. The green bamboo shoots have a crunchy texture, a sweet aroma, and a sweetness similar to sweet corn or white asparagus. They are served with Taiwanese mayonnaise, which is uniquely sweet. The combination of Taiwanese bamboo shoots and sweet mayonnaise is surprisingly delicious. Don't miss out on trying it before the menu changes. And of course, Din Tai Fung's soup dumplings are delicious. Simply delicious. The basil dumplings are also worth trying! I also love their Drunken Chicken dish. Despite the small portion size for the price, I always end up ordering it. Din Tai Fung's desserts are also delicious, so I highly recommend them!

Recently, I've been addicted to wonton soup, which I can't write in kanji, but I have fond memories of eating it in Taipei a long time ago. Now, as for xiaolongbao, the light meat juice is delicious, and it goes well with black vinegar and ginger. It's hearty, but I feel like I could eat as many as I want. The atmosphere is nice even in the hustle and bustle of Shibuya, and I enjoyed it while feeling a sense of luxury.

I suddenly craved xiaolongbao, so I finished my errands early and excitedly waited for the restaurant to open. It opens at 11am, but there was already a line when I arrived. I was worried about getting a table, but luckily I managed to enter without waiting. People behind me were given number tags to wait for their turn. If I had been a few minutes later, I would have had to wait in line! Finally, I got to enjoy the xiaolongbao I've been craving for! I ordered the lunch set with dan dan noodles and mango shaved ice for dessert, and also ordered 6 pieces of xiaolongbao and zhajiangmian separately. The warm jasmine tea from the restaurant was delicious. I drank a lot and warmed up my body, and just when I was feeling cozy, the xiaolongbao arrived! The juicy filling was so delicious that I finished them in no time. The dan dan noodles came quickly, but I was surprised that the zhajiangmian took a while. Well, it's understandable because they were busy. Xiaolongbao is definitely the best! I want to fill my stomach with xiaolongbao! The mango shaved ice was fluffy and delicious, it was very soothing.

I went on a short business trip near Shibuya to the "Din Tai Fung Shibuya Scramble Square" store. - Xiao Long Bao (4 pieces) 660 yen - Shrimp and pork wonton noodles 1,230 yen I arrived at 11:45 on a weekday and there were 3 groups waiting (as usual, it's very popular). While waiting, I filled out the order form. Soon after, I entered the store. The Xiao Long Bao at Din Tai Fung was as delicious as always. The wonton noodles had large dumplings shaped like Mandu. The light soup and thin noodles made for a gentle and guilt-free taste. I kept my meal light as I had a client visit afterwards.

I was lucky to find a seat easily this time, as last time I had to give up due to the long line. It seems like there are few staff members. The jajangmyeon, cha shu ramen, and xiao long bao were all delicious and safe choices. The special xiao long bao with chocolate and strawberry was also tasty. This place is perfect for families with children.

Din Tai Fung is a reliable restaurant that I often visit at Hankyu Department Store in Umeda or Tobu Department Store in Ikebukuro. However, my expectations were greatly disappointed at the Shibuya branch. I understand that it's popular and the system for receiving a number and placing orders is efficient, with a wait time of about 30 minutes and quick service within 10 minutes. But seriously, was the food always like this? Has the quality declined due to too many branches or being too busy to handle? The signature xiaolongbao was hard, dry, almost no soup, it was all a letdown. I feel like Seven-Eleven's frozen ones might be better. The fried rice had large juicy shrimp, but the disappointment from the xiaolongbao overshadowed it. Maybe it's just because it's Shibuya. I'll try again at Umeda or Tobu to reassess. The restaurant is quite noisy and crowded, so if you really want to eat at Din Tai Fung, you might be better off trying a different branch. Just a slightly negative review~

I went again. The xiaolongbao at Din Tai Fung is at a UNESCO World Heritage level. It's just so delicious, I always want to eat it! It had been a month since my last visit, but the taste is consistently amazing. I always order the drunken chicken, but doesn't it seem to be getting smaller and smaller? Please give me more! The fried rice is also top-notch, so I recommend it. The desserts are delicious too! Everything I ate at Din Tai Fung was delicious.

I have eaten in Taiwan and it was delicious, so I tried it in Tokyo as well. The ordering system is the same as in Taiwan, where you write your order on paper after looking at the menu. Of course, you can also watch them hand wrap the food right there, but... it wasn't hot at all... My impression was that it wasn't something you could eat right away because it wasn't piping hot like I expected, more like the warmth of a convenience store meat bun. I also ordered dumplings and they were piping hot. The taste is delicious. It seems to be popular as there is always a line.
