Arrived at 12:10. Ordered the Stamina (medium) for 750 yen. It arrived in a little over 5 minutes. Thought the bowl was small, but it was huge. Very satisfying to eat. Felt like there was a lot of meat. The garlic soy sauce seasoning made the rice go down easily. The miso soup was simple with just seaweed. 95% full.

The lunch service at this restaurant is not great. With only one person in the hall and one person in the kitchen, they can't handle the rush and customers end up waiting. They only accept cash up to 1000 yen, so those who don't have much cash or only have large bills can't eat here. In this day and age, this is not acceptable, especially in Shinjuku. It's a shame because I used to like this place. They should at least offer Wi-Fi since the signal is bad. The miso soup and raw egg are included and the taste is good, but it's disappointing overall.

Located behind Yodobashi Camera at the west exit of Shinjuku Station, this quirky restaurant that everyone has been waiting for offers a collaboration menu of "stamina don" with fried chicken set. The place is spacious and you can order from your seat using a touch panel. Starting with the stamina don, there is also a fried chicken bowl option with a variety of sauces to choose from. They even offer a half-and-half option of stamina don and fried chicken bowl, as well as a ramen menu, making it hard to decide. The fried chicken is fried well and generously portioned, but it would be even better if there were condiments for flavor variation. If they add some, the popularity of this place will surely increase.

I arrived at the restaurant around 1pm on Friday. There were few customers, probably due to the rain. I wanted to use electronic payment, so I asked the staff, but they were a bit blunt and just pointed to the machine. It was a bit disappointing. The Stamina Don was decent, with a hearty and tasty flavor. The Maze Soba had a unique taste with a strong dashi flavor, which was surprisingly delicious.

I had work in Shinjuku and after finishing, I went to this restaurant with a friend! This is my third time visiting. This time, I tried the mixed ramen with meat and egg that I was curious about from last time. It comes with miso soup which is nice! The taste was stable and just delicious! I want to try a different menu next time.

I tried the "Large" size of the "Sutameshi" at the Nishi-Shinjuku Honten branch of the Sutamina Butadon chain store. Located just a 3-minute walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station, "Passionate Sutameshi Dondon" is where I went this time. The Sutameshi consists of pork belly and leeks stir-fried with a slightly garlic-flavored soy sauce seasoning that stimulates the appetite, making it easy to eat with rice! The Sutameshi comes with miso soup and a raw egg, and when you mix the raw egg with the pork, it adds a mellow flavor that makes you want to eat more rice! On the table, there are condiments such as mayonnaise, shichimi (seven-flavor chili pepper), and chili oil that go well with the Sutameshi, so you can enjoy it with your preferred flavor! Compared to a certain Sutamina Butadon chain store, I felt that the garlic flavor and seasoning were a bit milder and slightly lacking, but it was satisfying and hearty to eat with rice!

I stopped by this restaurant in Nishi-Shinjuku for a quick meal, and I often see it around the city. I think there are branches near Alta behind Shinjuku, and around the west exit of Yodobashi Camera. As someone who has been eating at the original branch in Kokuritsu for a long time, I found this one to be quite different, but still delicious. I ordered it through Uber while playing mahjong, and at that time it didn't come with an egg. I assumed it wouldn't come with an egg this time either, so I tried to add a raw egg, but it wasn't available at the ticket machine. I ended up adding a soft-boiled egg, only to find out that it actually came with a raw egg, so I ended up with two eggs. I wish they had a note about it near the ticket machine. Shinjuku has many vocational schools and cram schools, so there are many student-friendly cheap and voluminous restaurants, which is nice. Thank you for the meal.

Don-Don is located across from El Tower, just outside the west exit of Shinjuku Station. In addition to Stamina-don, they also offer Abura Soba, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Karaage-don among other diverse menu options. I ordered the Spicy Stamina-don (900 yen) with extra green onions. The spiciness, derived from Doubanjiang, was quite strong. When you order a rice bowl dish, it comes with miso soup. The meat was thinly sliced, but the portion size was substantial. I found the regular dish with a punch of garlic to be more enjoyable than the spicy one, as it captured the essence of a Stamina-don. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for a late lunch. I ordered the oil soba. The sauce looked light in color at first, but when mixed well, it had just the right amount of saltiness and was delicious! It was tasty on its own, but they also provided black vinegar and chili oil, so I poured that over the remaining 1/3 and it was delicious too!

On Sunday at 10:20 in the morning, with no time for lunch afterwards, I decided to drop by this place. I was the only customer. It seemed to be a shop specializing in stamina bowls, but I was in the mood for noodles, so I ordered the spicy oil noodles (regular) for 810 yen. You buy a meal ticket from a ticket machine and help yourself to water. Now, here comes the dish. It also came with miso soup. Following the instructions on "how to eat oil noodles," I mixed it all up and tried it as it is. The noodles were thick and chewy. The main flavor was the lard. I finished by adding black vinegar from the table. The price satisfaction ratio was not great.

I had the Spicy Mapo Eggplant Donburi for 890 yen at "Sutameshi" in Shinjuku. It's a donburi restaurant located in a back alley off Hulk Street. The restaurant serves high-calorie stamina bowls, but I felt like trying the seasonal Mapo Eggplant dish. The flavor is already rich, but the Mapo Eggplant had just the right amount of spice. The eggplant was deep-fried, giving it a glossy texture with a firm skin. I was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite garlic sprouts in the dish. The miso soup with seaweed that came with it was piping hot, and the staff warned me about it, which turned out to be true! I couldn't help but wonder why they make it so hot.

I went to a sukiyaki bowl restaurant near Shinjuku Station West Exit for lunch. I was in the mood for something a bit rich, so I decided to try their sukiyaki bowl. The interior of the restaurant was dimly lit and quiet, allowing me to focus on my meal. Today, I splurged a bit and ordered the beef bowl with extra meat, which came with miso soup for a total of 990 yen including tax. The raw egg added a nice touch, and the green onions provided a flavorful accent. The beef was tender and delicious as always. I always crave the garlic flavor of the sukiyaki bowl from time to time. Despite the slight smell, the taste is irresistible and this bowl is definitely a must-try.

Gyudon bowl for 640 yen paid with PayPay. It's a regular size at a beef bowl restaurant, just the right amount to enjoy. Comes with a raw egg and hot miso soup. On the table, there's mayonnaise and garlic, among other things. The sauce is strong with garlic, so it pairs really well with the raw egg.

A few minutes walk from the west exit of Shinjuku Station is a small standing-only restaurant. The narrow shop has counter seats only, with entrances and a ticket machine at both ends. The classic "stamina ramen" (medium size, including tax 740 yen) is a flavorful bowl with garlic soy sauce, topped with pork belly and green onions.

I tried going to Stameshi, which I had visited many years ago, for lunch and dinner. I ordered the S size for 640 yen. Even though it was S size, the portion of rice was like a regular M size, so it seemed like I wouldn't be able to finish it. The garlic-flavored stir-fried meat with raw egg seemed like it would give me stamina! I received a 500 yen discount coupon for my next visit with my "Kinko Kansha Ken" (Labor Thanksgiving Day) voucher.

Shinjuku, for the passionate foodies, Touch Panel Chicken Nanban Don ordered. The visual of the Chicken Nanban is amazing, with crispy chicken and pork belly. Honestly, it's quite oily. The cabbage doesn't help balance it out. The visual is so impressive that I had to get a small plate to place the chicken bones. You can eat the rice with tartar sauce. Thank you for the meal.

There seems to be a similar shop, almost indistinguishable. But you know, as a customer, as long as the food is delicious, it's all good. So, this shop... well, it's decent I guess? The basic taste is light, with just two splashes of vinegar, a big pinch of grated daikon radish, and a scoop of garlic. This creates a paradox of junky flavors! It's a shop where you can feel refreshed with miso soup. There are two entrances, and the one I'm at is almost empty, while the other one is full.
