Isumaru Suisan located near Don Quijote in Center Street. They open relatively early which is nice! Their crab miso is delicious and I always order it. However, I'm not a fan of their appetizers so I usually skip them. This time, the abalone (or turban shell maybe?) was very delicious. It was impressive to see it being grilled right in front of us! ✨

As I entered Udagawa Street after passing through Shibuya Center-gai, I found Isomaru Suisan in front of the triangular police box. It was a quick decision to dine here since I was short on time during lunch on a weekday. They had a smartphone ordering system, which was a bit different. I ordered the "Maguro 2-color bowl for 725 yen tax included" and the "Fresh seaweed miso soup for 110 yen tax included". The food arrived in just 3 minutes after ordering! So fast! I finished eating in 6 minutes, I must have been quick too! I was able to finish eating in less than 10 minutes after entering the restaurant, and even though the prices have increased in this area of Shibuya, the affordability of the meal was still great. The freshness of the fish was not bad either. This place is a friend of the common people. Thank you for the meal.

The atmosphere is like a casual izakaya. It was convenient to order with a mobile device for simple interactions. I went to eat seafood bowl, and there were many varieties which was just right for lunch. The rice goes well with the salmon and yellowtail in the pickled bowl, so I ordered extra rice and it was just right. I think it would be nice to go there as an izakaya at night.

It seems like this place is only visited by foreign tourists. It's fun to have a barbecue on your own, but it's difficult to control the heat. The prices are high, but the taste is not very good, and it's strange that fresh food doesn't taste good.

Visited on Sunday at 12:50, the seating rate on the first floor was about 30%. It had been quite a while since my last visit, and they had switched to mobile ordering. I had decided on the overflowing bowl after seeing it on the menu board, so I scanned the barcode and placed my order. Since miso soup was an additional charge, I added that as well. In about 10 minutes, the seafood bowl and miso soup arrived. I thought the overflowing bowl would have more toppings spilling out of the bowl, but it was more like regular-sized toppings arranged around the edge of the bowl. The taste was good though. The total bill was 1319 yen including tax for the overflowing bowl at 1209 yen and miso soup at 110 yen, and I was able to pay with my Suica card.

I felt like having some fish, so I went to Isomaru Suisan. I had been there for drinks at night before, but this was my first time going for lunch. They had options like sashimi set, grilled fish set, and sets with soba, but I decided to go with a rice bowl. ★ Tuna and Negitoro Rice Bowl 648 yen You order using a touch panel. You can choose options like less rice, no negi (green onions), and whether you want wasabi or not. I went with the regular options. The tuna and negitoro were more generous than I expected! You couldn't see any gaps in the rice. The rice was slightly firm and tasted good with soy sauce. The tuna and negitoro were just delicious. I noticed that the miso soup was sold separately. I thought maybe I should have ordered it, but 648 yen is quite cheap! There were people grilling shellfish and drinking even during the day, so the set meals seemed to have a good amount of food. I was able to pay using PayPay.

There are a lot of people drinking and getting rowdy early in the morning, which is why I avoided this place. Finally found a timing when nobody was there and entered for the first time today. But I really dislike drunks. First of all, they are loud. I just want to have a quiet lunch, but they talk so loudly as if they need to be heard by everyone. And they repeat the same story. They boast about something as if they are saying it for the first time, even though they just talked about it. The worst part is that they don't care if the other person is annoyed or not, drunk or not. Can't they see that I'm having a meal and don't want to be bothered? I wish they would reflect on their behavior. Bara Chirashi and Soba Set - 1078 yen In these kinds of places, they serve bara chirashi as one portion. It's easy to eat without any issues. It seems there is an additional charge for an extra serving, so I refrained from it today, but the portion size is good. The only thing that surprised me was the fried white fish that was served as part of the set... turned out to be squid. I didn't know squid was classified under white fish...

I used this place for a daytime drink on my day off, and honestly, I wasn't feeling like eating much seafood. I looked for a dish on the menu and decided to order the stew. It was surprisingly delicious, with a rich broth and a perfect accent of ginger. They should consider making the stew a signature dish.

I think the lunch at Isomaru Suisan is really good value for money! The Salmon Negitoro Don with seaweed miso soup is less than 1000 yen (I forgot the exact price but it was around 800 yen). The donburi alone starts from about 600 yen and the portion is quite generous, so when you want to have fish for lunch, this is the place! It's comparable to the sashimi served in the evening. Both the sashimi and miso soup are delicious. It's also great that they serve lunch until the evening, as there are often limited options after 2 pm for a late lunch, usually just ramen or fast food places, so this place is really convenient when you want to have a proper meal.

I went to Isomaru Suisan, which is open 24 hours. I entered after midnight and ended up leaving at 5:30 am. We had unproductive conversations, but ended up staying until morning. Taking the train home was great. We sat on the second floor, and I couldn't help but notice that Isomaru Suisan has become a gathering place for band members. It was quite noisy. The noise level increased as voices couldn't be heard, leading to a negative loop. The touch panel ordering system was convenient, but sometimes the order didn't come, so calling a busy staff member felt bad. The Shirasu (whitebait) ajillo and tomato stew were surprisingly delicious. We didn't order any grilled dishes except for miso in the appetizer. We drank and ate, and the bill came to 17,000 yen for three people. We ordered too much. I would appreciate recommendations for a cheap place where older people like us can drink until morning.

After entering the store, I didn't have to wait long before my order of salmon and squid marinated rice bowl arrived. It was very cute with a quail egg yolk in the middle. The sashimi had a fresh taste. The balance between sashimi and rice was just right. At the time of payment, I received a stamp card where miso soup would be complimentary on my next visit.

Isomaru Suisan is a place that feels like a beach house, so the smoke from neighboring tables is not a big issue. I used to be a heavy smoker about 20 years ago, but nowadays I find the smell of smoke bothersome. The air seems cleaner everywhere now. I've been wanting to go to Hachijojima, which is known for sea turtles swimming close by. I heard they have a specialty dish called "island sushi" with sweet vinegared sashimi and mustard instead of wasabi. Surprisingly, they had it here too, and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the classic crab miso shell bake and drank some dry sake that didn't make me feel drunk. It's been a while since I last visited, but coming here is always fun. I went to the Winnie the Pooh exhibition in Shibuya and on the way back, I used my shareholder benefit coupon to have lunch at "Isomaru Suisan". There were many lunch menu options, but I decided on the "barachirashi bowl" with miso soup. It was a safe choice. The flavors were refreshing and I was able to finish almost all of it. This restaurant seems to have a lot of solo customers, as there are many counter seats. Unfortunately, there are many people smoking, which is a downside. I wish they could at least make it non-smoking during lunchtime for us non-smokers.

We used it for a drinking party after an event. Iso Maru Suisan, which is a friend of night owls as it is open even late at night. Since everyone was almost full from the event before coming here, drinking was the main focus rather than eating. We had grilled hokke, King of crab miso shell grill, and cabbage as a snack. The grilled hokke easily falls apart, and the deliciousness of the hokke itself overflows even without soy sauce. The fatty part is delicious...! We ordered the King of crab miso shell grill after seeing the photo, but what actually came out was very small... Is this really the King...? The crab miso had a good flavor and was delicious, but it didn't give a sense of satisfaction. We chatted for about 3 hours while alternating between sake and shochu. Thank you for the meal.

I really appreciate that they open early in the day. If the nearby Kin no Kura or HUB were open at the same time, I would go there instead. As for the food, the appetizers are usually grilled, and I think they are the most delicious items on the menu. Other grilled items mainly focus on shellfish, but the grilled fish cake, shishamo, and thin sweet potato tempura that come as appetizers are not available for additional orders on the menu. I wish they would offer them if they are prepared.

I used it for a drinking party with friends. It had been a long time since I last visited Isomaru Suisan, but I was able to enjoy sake and seafood at a reasonable price.

I went to Isomaru Suisan, a seafood restaurant in Shibuya! They are open for business both at night and during the day, so it's very convenient! At first, I felt a bit guilty about going to an izakaya in the middle of the day, but they actually offer lunch sets, so I was satisfied! The seafood bowls are priced at less than 1000 yen, so I often go back for the Isomaru lunch! They have a variety of seafood bowls, but my favorite is the bara chirashi! It's topped with a dazzling array of ingredients, making it hard to decide what to eat first! The portion of rice is a bit generous, but it's a delightful way to spend lunchtime!笑

I thought Isomaru Suisan was just a typical chain restaurant, but they have adapted well to the challenges of the pandemic. We ordered a course menu and each dish came in small portions on individual plates, which was great. The quality is consistently good for a chain restaurant. The only downside is that there is an additional charge for extra sauce.
