Today's lunch in Ginza was a parent and child bowl set, delicious. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building behind the Kabuki-za theater. It was my first time visiting, so I arrived at 11:33. By 11:40, the last two groups were seated and the restaurant was full. They only seat one person at a four-person table, so it fills up quickly. The clientele seemed to be older than me, and the turnover was a bit slow. I ordered the parent and child bowl set (with cold green tea soba) and it was served in 7-8 minutes. The bowl and miso soup lids were opened, revealing a large portion of parent and child bowl. I started with the green tea soba from another dish. The broth was spicy in a Kanto style but paired well with the firm soba noodles, perfect for a hot day. The parent and child bowl had a rich flavor and the chicken was tender and delicious. The portion was generous, but I managed to finish it and enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the second floor of a building across from a famous tonkatsu restaurant in Ginza East, this soba restaurant is almost always packed, even after 1 PM. Despite the small line of 1-2 customers, the turnover is relatively quick due to its popularity. The lunch set costs around 1000 yen, offering a generous portion of soba noodles with a donburi dish, attracting mostly male customers due to its hearty serving size. The lunch service ends at 2 PM, but they may close early if they run out of rice. I finally managed to visit after a few failed attempts at a later hour! I was intrigued by the donburi sets, but they seemed very filling, so I opted for a cold kitsune soba with grated yam on the side (for an additional 400 yen). Although the donburi sets took some time to prepare, the soba arrived promptly, which was much appreciated! The soba noodles came in a bowl with broth, topped with kitsune and a slightly sweet flavor. The combination of broth, noodles, and kitsune was excellent! The addition of pickled ginger provided a surprising touch to the dish. I was so impressed that I even tried visiting at night, but reservations are essential for dinner, and walk-ins are not accepted. Finally getting a chance to dine in was truly a memorable experience! Remember to bring cash for payment!

It is hard to find a place where you can easily enjoy tea soba. Established in 1967, Ishibiki in Ginza offers freshly made tea soba using the highest quality matcha from Aichi prefecture, with a visually appealing green color that stimulates your appetite. The lunch set includes options like tempura and katsudon, and the generous portions will leave you feeling happy and satisfied. Rating on Tabelog: 3.20, Business hours: 11:30-14:00, Closed on weekends and holidays, Credit cards accepted. #Ishibiki #IshibikiGinza #GinzaLunch #GinzaSoba #SobaLover #Noodlestagram #TokyoSoba #TeaSoba #HigashiGinzaGourmet #HigashiGinzaLunch #HigashiGinzaSoba

I visited this place for the first time because my stomach was not feeling well and I thought warm soba would help. I ordered the "Kakitama" for ¥950. Looking at the menu, I also saw the "Tamago Toji" for ¥750, so I was curious to see what it was. When it arrived, it was a very thick ankake soba. It was very hot, almost burning my palate, and the sauce was too heavy for my upset stomach. The soba was made with cha-soba, which was warm, but I would like to try it with cold soba next time.

Lunch on August 12, 2020 (Wednesday). Lunch on the east side of Showa Street in Ginza 3-chome. A soba restaurant on the same building on the second floor as yesterday's Nakamata. I ordered the katsu-don set (1000 yen) with cold soba as usual. The katsu-don that came out was, hmm, sweet. Quite a rich sweetness. But the katsu was well fried, and the egg had a runny white, not bad. The soba was unexpectedly served as bukkake style, and it turned out to be cha-soba. The dipping sauce had a prominent sweetness of mirin. The noodles were average, but I was happy with the coldness from being rinsed with cold water. When I left the restaurant and looked at the noren again, it was clearly written as "Cha-soba place."

It's close to the office. I find it convenient for a quick lunch. The pork cutlet bowl set is surprisingly delicious! The pork cutlet bowl at a soba restaurant always has a tasty broth! Recommended for those in a hurry for lunch! In the summer, be sure to try the cold soba noodles.

Having a solo meal at a soba restaurant in East Ginza while on a break from work. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a brand new building. I ordered a set meal of tempura donburi and cold soba noodles. The tempura donburi came with small fish pieces and a side of soba noodles. The portion was quite filling.

I feel like I was born to savor the deliciousness of katsudon, and I live each day with that mission in mind. The katsudon at this soba restaurant is so satisfying that it feels like a conditioned reflex. The soba set with kake soba, the aroma of bonito, the flavor of mirin, and the firm soba noodles have received mixed reviews, but at least in my experience with kake soba, it's pretty normal. The traditional soba restaurant katsudon has a standard thickness for the katsu, which is sufficient. In some places like diners, they might serve thinner katsu which can be disappointing, but here it's fine. The sauce is also just the right amount. Sometimes when I watch them cook, they might discard excess sauce, but having the right amount of sweetness and quantity is the secret to deliciousness. When I try to make it myself, I tend to go overboard with the sauce, egg, onion, katsu, etc., and lose the balance, but at the restaurant, the balance of flavors is maintained, which is great. I also want to try their tempura, it looks delicious.

Having a lid on a bowl and not having one makes a big difference in the impression of the dish and the attitude of the restaurant towards their cooking. When there is a lid, it gives the impression that the restaurant is well-prepared and takes into account the steaming time when serving the dish. On the other hand, if there is no lid, it may give the impression that the restaurant is trying to cut corners by avoiding extra dishes for washing and prioritizing flavor. In this case, the dish had a lid. Naturally, my expectations were raised. When I opened the lid, I found a generous amount of rice topped with a thin, but flavorful tonkatsu soaked in a sweet soba sauce. Despite the large portion of rice, there was plenty of space left for the tonkatsu, which was complemented by pickled daikon and a miso soup with wakame seaweed and tofu. The soba noodles were firm and chewy, lacking in elasticity. I had thought that such firm soba noodles were unique to cafeteria food, but apparently, they exist elsewhere as well. It's not about the chewiness, but rather the firmness. Despite being hard, I actually enjoy this texture.

A soba restaurant recently opened on the second floor of a building that was completed on Magazine House Street. It seems like the restaurant was closed during the building construction. Upon entering the building and checking the A-type signboard outside, it appears that the restaurant started its operation ahead of other tenants as there are still some interior decorations being done. I ordered a katsudon set with cold soba and less rice, which cost 1000 yen. The food was served promptly, with the donburi and miso soup covered. When I removed the cover, I was surprised by the large portion of the donburi, but upon closer inspection, it was indeed the correct order of less rice. The soba was served in a bukkake style with a cold broth, and the noodles were firm and went well with the sauce. The katsu in the katsudon was thin, but seasoned with the soba broth, giving it a unique and delicious flavor. I plan to try the ten-seiro or tempura donburi set on my next visit.

The soba restaurant had started serving lunch after a long time. The interior of the restaurant was clean, maybe they had renovated it. Lunch sets started from 900 yen. I ordered the katsudon set for 1,000 yen. I chose warm soba. The katsudon had more volume than I expected. The taste was on the richer side, so it was a bit heavy towards the end. The soba was also delicious. It was a convenient place for a casual lunch, with good value for money.

Tea soba specialty shop. From the lunch menu, I chose the Tamago-don set for 900 yen. I was expecting a good amount of soba, but the portion was small and there was a lot of rice in the bowl. Is this the small portion that I ordered? The thick soba noodles had a strong texture, and although it was hard to tell with the dipping sauce, it had a sharp and aromatic taste, not losing to the fragrant matcha. Maybe it would have been better to order the dish as a single item instead of a set.

The other day, I visited a curry shop in Higashi Ginza that I found, but they hadn't cooked the rice yet, so I ended up going to this soba shop nearby. The shop is located on the second floor of a newly built building, with other spaces still under construction. It had been closed for two years and just reopened. Today, I ordered the Katsudon set for ¥1,000. It arrived quite quickly, in less than 5 minutes. The green tea soba is their specialty. Although I couldn't really taste the tea flavor, the soba had a strong texture and a smooth finish, and the broth was refreshing and overall delicious. The Katsudon had a small portion size, and the balance between the rice and the cutlet was a bit off, but it was filling. The cutlet was thin but tender, and the rice soaked in the broth was tasty. It's perfect for a quick lunch when you're short on time. Congratulations on the reopening! I will definitely visit again if I get the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I feel like I've come to a soba restaurant with a Japanese atmosphere! The Tororo Seiro soba was refreshing and satisfying with a generous portion. The Katsudon set also looked appealing, but if you want something more hearty, that would be a good choice too. I want to remember this place for future reference. I visited a soba restaurant that I was curious about for the first time. I had the lunch set with oyakodon. The sweet and savory seasoning of the Oyama chicken was a perfect match. The soba was so delicious that it made me want to try it as a standalone dish next time. Thank you for the meal.
