Schnitzel
Located on the east side corner of the Sukiya Bridge intersection, this family restaurant offers a prime location. My friend recently bought a hand cream for about 500 yen at the first-floor affiliated goods shop and got a 20% discount coupon for the restaurant. So, during our summer vacation in Ginza, we decided to visit the restaurant. It was my first time at this particular branch, although I was familiar with the chain's other locations in Isezakicho, Mizonokuchi (now closed), and Kawasaki Station. We arrived just before noon, and the restaurant, with over 50 seats, was about half full. We were seated at a table by the window overlooking the intersection, and the atmosphere and service were slightly upscale for a family restaurant, yet casual and approachable for a location in Ginza. My friend ordered the hamburger and shrimp fry set with rice, drink, and dessert, while I opted for the mentaiko spaghetti and salad set with a drink. The total bill came to just under 4000 yen, but with the 20% discount, we paid around 3000 yen. I chose the Italian shortcake, a specialty dessert, which was delicious. The spaghetti I ordered was surprisingly tasty, with al dente noodles and a flavorful combination of scallops, shrimp, mentaiko, and mizuna. The mentaiko was fresh, giving the dish a unique and enjoyable taste. My friend's hamburger and shrimp fry had a nostalgic, Showa-era Western food feel. The shrimp fry was slightly compact but had a thick, crispy coating and juicy shrimp inside. The shortcake dessert was generously sized and classic in flavor. Overall, the meal was a great value for the prime location in Ginza, and we left satisfied. On our way out, we bought two Arita-yaki pottery pieces for 700 yen at the goods shop on the first floor and received another 20% discount coupon, so we plan to revisit before it expires.
