A member of our team who worked as a manager decided to start his own business, so we chose this restaurant to celebrate his new journey. This well-known yakiniku restaurant from Kawasaki has expanded to Kabukicho, and we were excited to try it out. The exterior of the restaurant in Kabukicho stands out among the others, and the simple interior design gives off a sense of dedication to the food. We started off with beer and lemon sour for a toast. The first dish was the Chorogi salad, refreshing with a slightly sweet flavor. Next, we had the premium raw tongue with salt. The thinly sliced raw beef tongue was grilled and topped with green onions, bursting with juicy flavors and a tender texture. Then we tried the premium lean meat, which was lamp meat that day. Grilled and wrapped in shiso leaves, it was a perfect match. The next dish was yukhoe, mixed with egg yolk, wrapped in seaweed, and fresh without any unpleasant odor. We then enjoyed the rib roll, rib core, and skirt meat. The rib roll was grilled and wrapped with vegetables, a perfect combination that was addictive. The rib core melted in the mouth with a good amount of fat, especially delicious with wasabi and special sauce. The skirt meat was thick, tender, and juicy. Next was the harami, which was on a whole new level of taste. Eating it with wasabi enhanced the flavor even more. We then tried the house-made lemon sour, slightly sweet and perfect for women. The hormone was seasoned perfectly, expanding when grilled, and so delicious that you could eat as much as you want. The mountain loin, served with sauce, was a unique and delightful experience when dipped in egg yolk. A must-try dish. By this point, we were already full, but we ordered the cold noodles and perilla leaf cold noodles for sharing. The chewy noodles were refreshing, and the use of high-quality ingredients was evident throughout the meal. As expected, this yakiniku restaurant lived up to its reputation as a top-notch establishment, and it's only a matter of time before it becomes a popular spot. We definitely want to visit again. Highly recommended!

[Date] Visited on Sunday at 5:00 pm with 2 people (+ baby stroller). Happy that they are open on Sundays. [Reservation] Made a reservation online. [Location] About an 8-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Right behind the ward office. Look for the blue curtain as a landmark. [Interior] Table seating. Bright, lively, and clean interior. [Order] Cheers with homemade lemon squash! They have a wide range of drinks, including soft drinks for non-alcohol drinkers. We ordered the following a la carte items: - Premium thick-cut tongue (2 pieces): Thick and crispy texture, full of flavor with each bite. Refreshing with wasabi. - Mountain loin (with sauce): A must-order dish. The loin, seared over high heat, is slightly rare and moist. Perfectly complements the sauce and egg, goes really well with white rice. - Harami (salt, sauce, soy sauce): Choose salt. The peppercorns served with it are aromatic and delicious. - Liver: Fresh-looking liver with a beautiful, firm texture, no unpleasant smell, and very bouncy. - Kimchi assortment: The kimchi with mizuna-like crunchy texture is delicious! - Avocado salt yukhoe: Simple seasoning allows you to fully enjoy the natural flavor of the meat. This is so delicious!!! A must-try for those who prefer salt in their grilled meat. - Rice: The white rice is also delicious. Thank you for the meal! [Service] Prompt and friendly service. [Final thoughts] For those who prefer salt in their grilled meat, I recommend trying the Avocado Salt Yukhoe!

I heard from a friend who lives in Kawasaki that a popular yakiniku restaurant has opened a new branch in Shinjuku. I thought it was in Kabukicho, near TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with a concrete exterior and a navy noren curtain, which made it easy to miss as a yakiniku restaurant. The interior had spacious seating, unlike the usual greasy yakiniku places. It's a place you can proudly take your date or friends to. We arrived early, so we asked the staff for recommendations while deciding on the menu. We started with kimchi, changja, oi kimchi, and napa cabbage kimchi, all of which were quite authentic. I used to live in Korea, so I'm picky about kimchi, but I really liked it. The changja salad allows you to choose between salt or sauce dressing. The raw tongue was so tender and flavorful that it instantly won our trust in the restaurant. You must try it with the seasoning salt. The harami was also tender and flavorful. Eating it with homemade Cambodian pepper and wasabi made the fat feel even lighter. The raw liver was so fresh that you'd think you could eat it as is. Even though I'm not a big fan of liver, I decided to try it here, and it was delicious! The special ribeye core loin was a work of art in its beauty. It's a hidden part of the bone where the meat's umami is condensed. It was definitely worth ordering. The tsurami, a thinly sliced part that corresponds to the cheek in shabu-shabu, has many tendons but is served thinly sliced. After being taught how to cook it, we grilled it on the net and enjoyed it wrapped in aromatic vegetables with salt ponzu sauce. The tendons were not noticeable, and it was tender without any peculiar taste. I'll remember tsurami. The premium lean meat yakiniku allows you to savor the umami of lean meat the most. Grilling it and topping it with shoyu sauce with large leaves and green onions creates a heavenly taste. Everything was delicious, so we were very satisfied. I will definitely order the premium lean meat yakiniku and tsurami next time. I'm curious about the Kawasaki branch, so I'll check it out. The restaurant was fully booked by the time we left, so I think reservations are a must.

On a holiday at 6:00 PM, I went to Yakiniku Kawasaki with my stylist childhood friend. I had been there a few times and was finally able to eat in Tokyo! We made a reservation and ordered 2 draft beers, 2 corn teas, and Yukke for 1800 yen. Mixing the raw egg yolk with seaweed was delicious! The marinade also enhanced the flavor of the meat. We also had salted chogeri salad for 680 yen, which was refreshing and tasty. The premium raw tongue with salt for 2200 yen had the perfect thickness, and the marbling was excellent. The thick-cut liver for 1100 yen was too good to resist. We also tried the premium wagyu beef 3 kinds platter for 3600 yen, which included rib loin, ichibo, and top sagari. The staff recommended this platter, and it was so good that we could have eaten more. We also had lamp and shimacho for an unknown price, as well as umeshiso cold noodles for 1200 yen, which were refreshing with a delicious sourness from the plum. We couldn't resist ordering the hot stone bibimbap for 1500 yen, which was mixed and served hot, with a perfect seasoning and a bit of spiciness. It was worth the wait for Ushiko Zou to open in Kabukicho. When asked why they chose to open there, they said it was a connection. I wish it was a little more to the east, but I can easily come back to Shinjuku! It was the best in the area! Thank you for the meal.

Four of us visited the restaurant. We ordered Namul, assorted Kimchi, raw tongue, top harami, tsurami, mino, and rib eye roll. All of the dishes had good saltiness and the quality of the meat was very good. The standout dish was the tsurami. Not only was the taste excellent, but it was also easy to eat because it was sliced nicely.

The staff here are amazing! Their friendliness is not what you would expect in Kabukicho, it's really surprising. I visited around 4am and their customer service was top-notch. The restaurant has an open seating arrangement without partitions. The meat and sides are delicious, and the service is quick. I highly recommend the pork loin!

Shinjuku has another delicious yakiniku restaurant! I was taken there by my senior and we had a kimchi assortment from Ushiko Zou - it was pretty good! The tsumami sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented. Thank you! The thick-cut tongue salt was a bit pricey, but one piece was like eating a gyudon! The raw liver was delicious, especially when seared. The upper harami with two beers was a great combination. It was around 3 am, so it was really convenient. Thank you!

Kawasaki's popular yakiniku group "Niku Kozou Group" will make its first appearance in Shinjuku in May 2023! They have obtained approval for serving raw yukhoe, allowing customers to enjoy high-quality raw meat and internal organs. The company is operated by NC Co., Ltd., led by Rei Saito. Saito dropped out of high school in his teens and started working at a meat wholesale company run by his childhood friend's family. He was involved in not only wholesale but also in the slaughtering process, and by the age of 18, he was entrusted with managing the warehouse. Later on, he took over a yakiniku restaurant in Kawasaki operated by an acquaintance, working at the meat wholesale company during the day and at the yakiniku restaurant at night. To learn about running a yakiniku restaurant, he quit the meat wholesale company. He worked at various yakiniku restaurants to learn business know-how and opened "Niku Kozou" in Yokohama-Tsurumi in 2016, which was a relocation from Kawasaki. Currently, he operates 10 directly managed stores (brands include Niku Kozou, Ushikozou, Niku Kozou Shou, Kozouen, Ganso New Tantanmen Honpo, Oniku Rei). Ushikozou Shinjuku is managed by Kai Fujita and opened on May 11, 2023. The restaurant is located about 50m north of Shinjuku City Hall on Higashi Street. The nearest station is a 4-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit (or a 4-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station or Seibu Shinjuku Station). The business hours are from 17:00 to 5:00 (Food L.O. 4:00, Drink L.O. 4:30), and they are open every day. There are 31 seats available, all in table seating. Reservations can be made online through the official website, Instagram, and Tabelog, as well as by phone. As a certified raw yukhoe restaurant, customers can enjoy legally served raw meat. The beef tongue is served in super thick slices, perfect for those who love thick-cut tongue, and the harami and liver were also of excellent quality. Since they are open until morning, this is the go-to place for yakiniku in Kabukicho! [Orders] - Yukhoe 1,800 yen - Avocado Salt Yukhoe 1,900 yen - Grilled Upper Liver 1,100 yen - Special Thick-Cut Tongue (2 pieces) 1,980 yen - Upper Harami 1,780 yen - Rice (medium) 300 yen

I went to the newly opened sister restaurant of the popular yakiniku restaurant Nikuzosu in Kawasaki, Ushikozou, in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. The restaurant in Kawasaki is highly rated and the interior is clean with a concrete finish, and the seating is spacious allowing for a relaxing dining experience. First, I had a Suntory Premium Malt beer to start. Then, I tried the assorted kimchi, which is directly imported from Osaka and has a good balance of spiciness. Next was the Chorogi salad with a light and fluffy texture, seasoned with salt and sesame oil. The recommended dish was the premium beef tongue, which was thick and tender. We grilled it ourselves and squeezed lemon juice on top. It was very soft and had a great texture. The upper harami with wasabi soy sauce had a good balance of lean meat and marbling, and the wasabi soy sauce complemented it well. The premium kalbi selection allowed us to choose from salt, salt sauce, sauce, or wasabi soy sauce. We chose wasabi soy sauce and enjoyed the perfect marbling and tenderness of the meat. We also had wagyu kalbi with sauce, which was juicy and made us crave for rice. The Aomori garlic foil was a delight, and the large garlic cloves were flavorful. We also tried the hormone trio with miso sauce, which was crispy and delicious. The signature dish, the mountain loin for two, was served with egg yolk and grilled by the staff. It was recommended to be enjoyed rare. The negi rice with plenty of green onions was a perfect match for the juicy meat. For dessert, we had lemon sherbet, which was refreshing. The restroom was well-maintained with separate facilities for men and women, and the service by the young female staff was attentive. The meat was delicious, and we left the restaurant fully satisfied.

The food is so delicious, isn't it! I happened to come across this shop and went there right away. It's located behind the Shinjuku Ward Office. It seems like it just opened recently, and the interior of the shop was very clean. Seriously, the taste is worth more than the price. It's right up my alley. I love liver, so I was thrilled. The yukhoe was also (*⁰▿⁰*). I will definitely come back.

Late-night yakiniku place! I visited Ushikozo in Kawasaki, which opened in Kabukicho in May. I had a great experience at their Kawasaki location, so my expectations were high! Kimchi assortment, Namul assortment, and marinated beef tartare wrapped in Korean seaweed were all delicious. The thick-cut grilled liver was a favorite of mine. The salt-seasoned tongue and marinated prime harami were also excellent. The meat was so juicy, especially the rib core marinated in sauce. The negi rice, with plenty of green onions, was a perfect accompaniment. I tried the Tsurami shabu shabu for the first time, and it was refreshing with the salt ponzu sauce. For dessert, I had the Kakao Chocolat, which is a must at a yakiniku restaurant. The quality of the meat for the price was fantastic, and the spacious seating was a plus. It's great to have a delicious yakiniku place open in Kabukicho until morning. Located a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station East Exit, the average cost per person is around 8,000 yen. #Ushikozo #ShinjukuGourmet #YakinikuLovers #KabukichoGourmet #TokyoYakiniku #Meatstagram #Shinjuku #MeatLover #Instafood #Foodstagram

A popular yakiniku restaurant in the Kawasaki area will be opening in Kabukicho in May! It is located near Shinjuku Sanchome, behind the Shinjuku Ward Office. If you get lost, just head towards the "Shinjuku Ward Office" and you'll be fine. This restaurant is like a dream come true for foodies, offering high-quality meat at reasonable prices where you can eat to your heart's content. - Yamaimo Kimchi - Senmai sashimi - Yukke - Avocado salt Yukke - Premium tongue - Premium Harami - Premium liver (thinly sliced) - Premium Sagari - Thick-cut Premium Sagari - Tsurami - Premium Mino - Aotou slice - Shimacho - Yama Roast - Egg yolk - Famous Ushikozo natto - Negi rice that goes well with meat - Wagyu curry - Umejiso cold noodles On this day, it was a crazy foodie tour where we ate a lot all day long, so I don't even remember how many servings each dish was for. The photos show the amount for four foodies. There are probably dishes that we didn't take photos of. Normally, even a smaller amount would be enough ← we just ate a lot of meat. My favorite was the dishes marked with ★! But everything was delicious! (I didn't try the natto rice and curry but they are said to be delicious too) Ate a lot, drank, and spent less than 10,000 yen per person. And they are open until 5 am! Basically, they are open all year round! If you miss the last train in Shinjuku, this place will take care of you. If you want yakiniku in this area, this is the only place to go. The wonderful meats made me think that way. It seems like you can still walk in now, but it's recommended to make a reservation as the restaurant is not that big.

When it comes to yakiniku in Kawasaki, Ushiko Zo is the place to go. Recently, a meat barbecuing restaurant called Niku Reina has opened in Nishi-Azabu, expanding the group even further. The restaurant is located right in the heart of Kabukicho, a chaotic area. Despite the location, the interior is very clean and the friendly service makes it easy to enjoy. - Top quality salted tongue: A well-thick cut of tongue with a chewy texture. - Mountain loin: Thinly sliced marinated loin with a mix of rare and charred parts, a favorite among customers. - Top sirloin with salt and garlic: The strong salt marinade brings out the rich flavor of the meat. - Grilled top liver: High-quality meat best enjoyed rare, with a perfect balance of sweetness and sesame oil flavor. - Rib eye roll with avocado and salted yukhoe: The salt brings out the rich flavor of the marbled meat directly. - Morioka cold noodles: Thick and chewy noodles in a soup with a thick, sweet, and flavorful broth, a traditional Morioka cold noodle dish. The menu is well-balanced from appetizers to main dishes. It's also a good idea to ask the staff for recommendations when ordering.

The location is right in the middle of Kabukicho! For a girl who is not used to Kabukicho, meeting at the restaurant can be tough haha. The quality of the meat is really good, and they have a wide variety of appetizers like raw liver and yukke, making the alcohol go down smoothly. This time, we mainly drank so we didn't eat much rice, but next time I want to come and eat heartily. ✊ ̖́-

Ushikozo is a yakiniku restaurant located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It is a popular yakiniku restaurant from Kawasaki that has opened a branch in Shinjuku Kabukicho. The owner has experience in the meat industry and has trained in yakiniku restaurants, making Ushikozo a rising star in the world of yakiniku. They serve carefully selected female Japanese beef, paying attention to details like the origin of the meat. The menu includes top harami, thick-cut tongue, top liver, senmai sashimi, top sagari, negi rice that goes well with the meat, mountain loin, avocado salt yukke, the famous Ushikozo natto, top lean meat yakiniku, and a variety of hormone dishes. They also offer wagyu curry, Morioka cold noodles, whole cocoa chocora, coconut ice cream, and Tsuruhashi kimchi. Ushikozo has made a successful expansion into Shinjuku Kabukicho from its base in Kawasaki and Tsurumi, and has even opened a meat kappo restaurant called "Oniku Rei" in Tokyo Nishi-Azabu. The quality of their offal and meat is high, yet the prices are reasonable. It's hard to find another restaurant in Tokyo that offers such high-quality meat at these prices. The menu ranges from dishes that allow you to savor the natural taste of the ingredients to those with unique seasonings and serving styles. Yakiniku goes well with white rice, but don't forget to order the negi rice. The quality of their desserts is also exceptional, so be sure to end your meal with one. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The new store of the "Ushikozo" group, which operates in Kawasaki and Nishi-Azabu, has opened in Kabukicho. It is located in an unusual place, on Higashi Street. When it comes to yakiniku in Kabukicho, "No Meat No Life" is famous, but how does Ushikozo compare? The restaurant has spacious table seating on both sides, with a fairly wide aisle in between. The drink menu is casual and easy to order from. I ordered Yukke, Tan, and Harami, and was convinced of the quality. "This place is great. Lol." I particularly enjoyed the thick-cut Harami for its juicy meatiness. The Wagyu lean meat yakiniku, which is eaten with shiso leaves and green onions marinated in soy sauce, was delicious. There were various other clever ways of serving the food, making me want to try more. I will definitely come back!

Budget: 10,000 yen A la carte I was suddenly asked by a friend to go for yakiniku, so I made a phone reservation one hour before at 7:30 pm with no guests. Despite the low number of customers, the quality and taste of the meat were excellent, probably because it was freshly made. As there were only two of us, we mainly ordered assorted platters. - Special selected prime harami: Thick and flavorful harami, even though we didn't reserve it. - Yukhoe: Well-seasoned and delicious. - Upper tongue salt and negi salt: Thinly sliced and average in taste. The negi was unnecessary as we also ordered negi salt rice. - Today's special 3 kinds platter: Rib core, Ichibo, Upper sagari. We ordered it because it included upper sagari, and it was just enough for two people. All were good. - Today's hormone 3 kinds: Upper gyara, liver, and toro hormone. We wanted to try hormone, but the platter was a good option for sharing between two people. The lineup was great. - Negi salt rice to go with the meat: A large portion suitable for two people. We mistakenly ordered one each, but it's a must with plenty of negi at a good price. - Morioka cold noodles: Thick and firm noodles with delicious broth. Have cold noodles improved in all restaurants recently? - Kimchi assortment: Spicy. It cost just under 10,000 yen for the two of us, but it might be worth ordering for four people individually instead of as a platter, to keep it under 10,000 yen. In Shinjuku, this quality at this price is quite rare. Keep an eye on this place in the future.

Yakiniku Ushikozo Shinjuku Branch Menu: Tsuruhashi Kimchi, Moyashi Namul, Yukke, Salted Premium Tongue, Premium Harami, Liver Yakiniku, Thinly Sliced Rib Core, Premium Sagari Meat, Green Onion Rice. Ushikozo, a popular yakiniku restaurant in Kawasaki, opened in May in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. It was my third visit to Ushikozo. There are no private rooms, and it was quite lively, suitable for enjoying with a large group. The salt seasoning is not the trendy junk style but a simple flavor that is likely to be well-received by everyone. The Salted Premium Tongue is quite reasonable in terms of quality and portion, so I recommend it. Personally, I really liked the Green Onion Rice. The rice seasoned with ginger and sesame oil is delicious on its own and also tasty when eaten with the sauce dishes. We visited as a group of two this day, but I think it would be more affordable and enjoyable to eat with about four people. If you want to eat yakiniku in Shinjuku, this is definitely a great option!

I'm happy that it's now in Shinjuku because it was a bit difficult to go to Kawasaki before. The Top Tongue Salt had a crispy texture and a seasoning that made me crave rice. The Harami and Sagari also had a rich meaty flavor and were delicious. No matter what you order, it's consistently delicious, and the fact that you can eat all this for just a little over 8,000 yen per person is quite satisfying. I felt a sense of satisfaction that exceeded the price. If they start opening late at night in this location, they would likely attract even more customers. I plan to visit frequently in the future. Thank you for the meal.
