特盛ヒロシ
This time, I visited a restaurant in Shinjuku that opened just last year on November 25th, where you can enjoy Japanese sake and seafood. The location is a 1.2-minute walk from Shinjuku Station Southeast Exit. The opening hours are Monday to Thursday, Sunday 12:00-24:00, Friday, the day before holidays 12:00-2:00, Saturday 12:00-1:00, with no regular holidays. I was invited by a senior from my days as a salaryman to a large seafood restaurant, and we visited. There is another restaurant in the same group on the first floor, and Maruyasu Suisan is on the second floor. There are various seating options, including private rooms, sunken kotatsu, tatami mats, and tables, making it a great place for group parties. We were guided to a table at the back of the second floor. This time, the course included all-you-can-drink sake, and my senior ordered the luxurious course with sashimi of mackerel shabu-shabu for 7,500 yen and the all-you-can-drink course for 1,500 yen, totaling 9,000 yen including tax. The first drink we had was Senkin Green Nature. It is an organic nature sake with no additives, made only with rice, rice koji, and water, representing a new era of sake. It was light and easy to drink. The course included: appetizer (chicken, shiitake mushrooms, daikon, carrots, etc.), premium sashimi assortment (cherry snapper, amberjack, flounder, mackerel, tuna, yellowtail), grilled dishes (crab miso, salmon roe, crab shell grilled with ankake, turban shell from Kuwana, scallop with lemon butter sauce, oysters), tempura vegetables, small bowl with salmon roe, grilled mackerel with Saikyo miso, mackerel shabu-shabu (with tofu, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, napa cabbage), and more. We also had Cassis Orange, Cassis Grapefruit, Ramune Sour, Lemon Sour, and other drinks. Overall, I have never eaten so much seafood in one meal before. Except for the initial chicken, everything else was seafood or vegetables. The mackerel shabu-shabu was sliced a bit thick, giving it a satisfying texture and allowing the delicate flavor of the mackerel to shine. Grilled mackerel with Saikyo miso was also delicious. It was a truly luxurious seafood course. The scallops and turban shells were satisfying, and the oysters were my favorite. The sashimi was also top-notch, especially the tuna, red snapper, and flounder. The quantity was more than enough for two people. I have never been so full without eating meat in a course meal before. It was a very satisfying experience. Thank you for the meal.
