There is a business supermarket nearby where I happened to find some really good dorayaki. They are filled with plenty of red bean paste made from high-quality beans from Hokkaido and are carefully baked. The black bean paste and custard are both excellent. The owner, a friendly woman, told me that their motto is "plenty of filling in every bite", so you can enjoy them without worry. I couldn't stop chatting with her because she was so friendly.

A taiyaki shop suddenly appears in a residential area crowded with private houses. It is not facing a main street, so you will never encounter this shop unless you set your navigation to this destination. The taiyaki here is mochi-like, white, and not just hot, but very hot. It piqued my interest, so I decided to visit. As soon as I parked in front of the shop, the staff came out to guide me. The shop has a small parking lot that can fit about two small cars. It is a take-out only shop. The staff also guided me when I left (very kind). I bought custard, red bean, and sweet potato taiyaki. When I got home, I took a bite! The stretchy dough with a mochi-like texture was amazing. This is a favorite among girls. It was so delicious that I finished it before even baking it. The sweet potato had a filling of mashed sweet potato and chunks of sweet potato with a fantastic texture. Next time, I want to buy more to bake! I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I received a "White Taiyaki" from my father. It's a taiyaki, but it's white...? When I tried it, it was exactly as the name suggests!!! It felt like eating mochi, so chewy. This really overturns the concept of taiyaki. I preferred it baked, with a crispy surface and a chewy inside. It was a unique and delicious taiyaki, thank you for the meal. ❤️

I went there for the first time the other day. It's located in a narrow residential area, so it's a bit hard to find, but when I tried to park my car, an old man came out and guided me. The taiyaki was very soft and delicious, the best! I have always loved white taiyaki, but it's hard to find shops that sell them, so I want to go back again.

This time, we visited a shop called "White Taiyaki Mochimochiya," which as the name suggests, only sells white taiyaki. The shop is located on the first floor of a regular house, and it seemed like the taiyaki was being freshly made on the spot by an older lady. When we visited, the ready-made taiyaki was displayed, and we would pick them up to take home. There were four flavors available: black bean paste, white bean paste, custard, and sweet potato paste. We bought three types excluding white bean paste. We warmed them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then lightly toasted them in a toaster. The sweet potato paste (130 yen) seemed to be a newly introduced item and had chunks of sweet potato in it. It was not too sweet and delicious. The black bean paste (120 yen) was a classic taiyaki flavor with moist black bean paste inside. The custard (120 yen) was a favorite of both me and my husband. The shop owner recommended adding the taiyaki skin to miso soup or hot pot, and it indeed added a nice chewy texture to the dish. The location of the shop may be a bit hard to find, but if you notice the small signboard, you should be able to locate it. There is a small parking space in front of the shop, which should be sufficient as the area has minimal traffic. Overall, it was a delightful experience.
