This is a shop located near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The shop has a meaningful way of appealing with dishes like donburi. It's a great place for those who visit the shrine! However, the wait for the thin noodle tonkotsu ramen was quite long. It took about 1 hour for 30 people... Upon entering, the counter was still crowded! The ramen had a sweet tonkotsu soup! It would be nice if they could make the waiting time more enjoyable!! Thank you for the meal!

Ichiran has various locations with different characteristics, but this one is a special store for passing exams. The bowl is pentagonal, and the passing set costs 1410 yen, but if you pay 2000 yen, you'll get 590 yen back (to pass). The cup is also larger and taller. The staff's response is always "you will pass," making it a very eventful store. The soup is the same as the regular Ichiran, with a slightly sweet flavor.

I came to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine for the children's success prayer, so I also visited Ichiran! They are very particular about success! They pay attention to everything from the bowl and chopstick shape, cup and noodle length, to the change for the success set! Of course, the taste is amazing because it's Ichiran!

Located in Dazaifu 2-chome, Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, just a 1-minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line "Dazaifu Station," this unique restaurant named "Goukaku" (which means "passing an exam") is situated on the right-hand side of the entrance to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The restaurant is themed around the concept of passing exams and increasing good luck before school exams or various other tests. One interesting aspect of this restaurant is that it only serves a dish called "Goukaku Ramen," which is not available at any other Ippudo location. The restaurant is filled with many auspicious symbols and details, such as the "Goukaku Don" bowl, which is shaped like a pentagon and contains various charms for passing exams. The chopsticks are also pentagon-shaped, and the noodles used in the ramen are extra-long for good luck. The cups are larger than those found at other locations, and even the seat numbers at the counter are displayed in pentagon shapes. The restaurant is filled with numerous symbols and decorations related to passing exams and good luck, making it a unique and fun dining experience.

I recommend trying the exclusive tableware at the Dazaifu Omotesando store when you visit as a tourist. The "Passing Grade" dish, inspired by Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, known as the "God of Learning," is likely to be the same in taste and portion size as others. However, eating it in a unique dish in a tourist destination creates a special feeling!

I visited Hakata and Dazaifu to see the special exhibition "Three Kingdoms" at the Kyushu National Museum. After enjoying the exhibits at the museum, I returned to Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station. I decided to try Ichiran ramen, which I had been curious about. It was around 3:20 pm on a weekday, so there were no waiting customers. I bought a meal ticket from the machine outside the store and was guided by the staff standing outside. Since it was my first time at Ichiran, I didn't know what to do, but I was given an order form when entering the store. I didn't understand it well, so I just ordered everything as normal. The restaurant is designed to block the view from neighboring customers and the kitchen, which I personally think is very good. For my first visit, I ordered the regular "Passing Grade Ramen" (tax included 980 yen). The bowl is pentagonal in shape. This store is located at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, where the god of learning, Sugawara no Michizane, is enshrined, so the pentagon shape is a play on words with "passing grade" and "pentagon." However, this pentagonal bowl is very difficult to eat from! I tried to mix the noodles, but I couldn't lift them up well. I later learned that the noodles are also 59cm long, a play on words with "passing grade," but I didn't notice at all. The ramen itself is just average. It doesn't have any particular features, but it tastes good, neither good nor bad. And to think this costs 980 yen?! It's a ramen that surprises you.

I visited Ichiran ramen near the Kyushu National Museum for some business. It is located at the entrance of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Normally, people who come for passing exams probably go there to eat, but I went just for the ramen, so it ended up being quite expensive. The surrounding parking lots were also expensive, even the famous T***mz charged 1000 yen for 30 minutes, which was high. Also, it was lunchtime and there was a group of tourists from K country making a lot of noise. The shop itself only has 16 seats because it originally started as a souvenir shop, so I had to wait for almost an hour. The vending machine is located outside where people are waiting in line, so you can buy your ramen ticket there before being guided inside by the lovely staff. The parking was expensive, and surprisingly, the ramen was also pricey! I wonder why? The ramen itself tasted like the usual Ichiran ramen, no complaints there! It's delicious! The only difference is that the noodles were longer. They also have a souvenir shop which makes it convenient for shopping. Normally, I would rate it 4.5 stars, but because of the high prices, I had to lower my rating slightly.

I'm not sure how many years it's been since I last had Ichiran, but since I came to Dazaifu, I thought I should eat it. Normally, you have to wait in a long line to eat here, but today I arrived at 9 am and was the third customer. There was hardly any line, so I was able to enter smoothly and eat without any issues. The taste was just like other Ichiran locations. The pentagon-shaped bowl was cute.

My friend came all the way from Kumamoto to Fukuoka, so we decided to have the best sushi for dinner at a famous restaurant in Kasuga. Thanks to a junior colleague, Yusuke, who worked alongside Robuchon at the Royal Wedding, we were able to dine at his sushi restaurant "Kikuzushi". Since we arrived in Kasuga earlier than planned, we decided to visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. We went to the limited edition "Passing Ramen" at Ichiran's shrine store, which is filled with prayers for students taking exams. The bowl, shaped like a pentagon, symbolizes "passing→pentagon" and looks very luxurious. The greetings at the entrance and exit were unique, with a cheerful tone similar to IKKO's style. The hangers were attached with rubber chains to prevent them from falling, and we had to be careful with our belongings on the counter. If you ever visit Dazaifu, I recommend stopping by this place for a unique experience.⚫︎Ichiran Dazaifu Omotesando store Passing Ramen: 890 yen◾︎Food Beast Maro

After visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, even though it was still early for lunch, I decided to stop by Ichiran. While some locals in Fukuoka who have a preference for Hakata ramen or Nagahama ramen may give it mixed reviews, I personally find Ichiran's tonkotsu ramen to be delicious. The branch in Dazaifu offers a special tonkotsu ramen made with noodles in the shape of a passing grade bowl, inspired by the shrine. The broth is light and refreshing, which may not suit everyone's taste, but I appreciate the variety. The noodles are thin and straight, a common style in Kyushu ramen, and I like mine cooked firm. The red special sauce adds a unique flavor, although I realized this time that it's a bit too spicy for me. Next time, I'll go easy on the sauce or skip it altogether. It would be ideal to visit the shrine, have the passing grade ramen, and actually pass an exam, but to all the students out there, good luck. Thank you for the meal.

I love Ichiran ramen, and this location is no different from other Ichiran branches in terms of taste and system. The ramen tastes the same as usual, and the unique feature here is that the bowls are pentagon-shaped. It might be worth visiting for passing an exam, making a wish, or just for something to talk about.

A short trip to Fukuoka for one night and two days. Staying at a ryokan in Dazaifu tonight in preparation for visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine the next day. Taking the Nishitetsu train from Tenjin to Dazaifu via Futsukaichi. Arriving at Dazaifu Station after a few years, we stopped by here for an early dinner before boarding the shuttle bus to the ryokan. The restaurant was empty due to the early hour, so we were seated right away. We ordered the Goukaku Ramen for 890 yen (tax included), which is a special ramen with a pentagon-shaped bowl, unique to this restaurant. The name "Goukaku" is a play on words meaning "passing an exam." The ramen itself is the usual tonkotsu ramen from Ichiran, but the bowl shape is different. I have experienced the taste of Ichiran ramen and the individual booth-like counter seats with partitions during my time living in Fukuoka. I was curious to see how my child would react, but they remained calm. However, they still remember eating the Goukaku Ramen when we talk about that trip. Although there is an Ichiran branch in Tokyo where I live now, I have never felt the urge to visit, probably because I have had better tonkotsu ramen in Fukuoka. I hope Ichiran will come up with a new approach that not only attracts customers with its unique interior layout, ordering system, and menu names but also impresses discerning tonkotsu ramen enthusiasts with the taste of their ramen.

The deliciousness of stability. I tried the special ramen only available at this store. When they say "Welcome," it sounds like "Happiness."

I visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and couldn't decide where to have lunch, so I ended up going to Ichiran, which I occasionally crave. The ramen served in a unique pentagon-shaped bowl at the store on the approach to the shrine is also a good memory.

The ramen bowls are pentagon-shaped, each seat has a pen with a chain to prevent it from falling on the floor, the hangers are securely fixed to prevent them from falling, and when serving the ramen, they say "Thank you for waiting. You passed." The ramen is also named "Passing Ramen." It is full of good luck charms for students taking exams. The ramen is delicious.

Ichiran's Dazaifu Omotesando branch. The dishes were unique, such as the pentagon-shaped bowls, which was interesting. The taste was truly exceptional. Due to the location, there were many Asian tourists, including Chinese and Korean, and various languages were being spoken.
