President of Sherry Rose Co., human resources educator, and director of the Etiquette Beauty School, Toshihide Igaki here. I have been coming to Osaka more often for employee training at the long-established company Hozen Reizo. Osaka's Shin-Osaka Station has many delicious food shops, so I enjoy visiting various restaurants. This time, I decided to try Osaka's specialty okonomiyaki. I went to this restaurant in the food court "Noren Meguri" inside the Shinkansen ticket gate. I sat at the counter and ordered the basic suji negi yaki with a draft beer. The okonomiyaki is being cooked right in front of you, but a few pre-cooked ones are already on the hot plate. Shortly after ordering, the beer arrived, followed by the negi yaki. It seems they prepare it this way for customers who are about to board the Shinkansen. The staff informed me that it was seasoned with soy sauce and lemon. The texture was moist, lightly pressed, and the flavor of negi and soy sauce was exquisite. Very easy to eat and a must-try for negi lovers. I finished it in no time. Thank you for the meal.

After returning from a business trip in Osaka, I wanted to eat some flour-based dishes, so I visited Negiyaki Yamamoto. It is located in a corner of the food court at Shin-Osaka Station, and I was able to enter smoothly without waiting in line. Without hesitation, I chose the Negiyaki and beer set for ¥1600! The combination of suji simmered in broth and green onions was excellent, and the harmony with beer was perfect. It had been a while since I last ate here, but when it comes to flour-based dishes in Osaka, Negiyaki Yamamoto is definitely the place to go!

When I arrived at Shin-Osaka Station by Shinkansen, it was just lunchtime, so I headed straight to the food court inside the Shinkansen ticket gate. I was able to secure seats for two at the counter, so I immediately placed an order. We had the beer set with suji negi yaki (a little bargain) and negiyaki with egg and mentaiko toppings. It was lucky to be able to have Osaka's specialty food right after arriving in Osaka. There was no waiting time either! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

One weekend, I had some business in Osaka and stopped by here in the Shinkansen station for lunch. It's located in a food court-like area and my order was ready in about 5 minutes since they are pre-made. I had the beef and green onion stir-fry, which was already well-seasoned and didn't need any additional sauce. However, the portion size was small and didn't quite fill me up.

The soy sauce flavor is plump and soft, making it refreshing. Located inside the Shinkansen ticket gate, so the turnover is quick. There is hardly any line, so it may be recommended when you are short on time. Beer set available. If you want to drink in a mug, sit at the counter. If using a paper cup, you can sit anywhere.

I finally tried the negiyaki that I had been curious about at Yamamoto-san. It was dinner time and the seats were almost full. I ordered the long-awaited set of negiyaki and draft beer. The negiyaki had a lot of green onions and was already seasoned, so additional sauce was not necessary. The flavor of the green onions was slightly bitter, making it a sophisticated negiyaki for adults! It went well with the beer!! I ate in the shared eating space of the various shops. The staff, especially the women who cleaned up the area and wiped the tables, were wonderful and considerate, making it a comfortable time. Thank you for the meal!

In Shin-Osaka, inside the Shinkansen ticket gate, there is a restaurant called Negiyaki Yamamoto! I had it at a regular store before and it was very delicious, so I was thrilled to find it here. It's located in one of the stores in the food court, and it was quite crowded and I didn't have much time, so I decided to get it as a souvenir. I ordered the Mentaiko Tamago Negiyaki for 1350 yen. It takes 7-8 minutes to cook, so I recommend ordering with some extra time before your Shinkansen departure. I reheated it in the microwave, and it was still delicious. The fluffy dough is topped with a mountain of green onions, beef tendons, konjac, mentaiko sauce, and a half-cooked egg. It's packed with ingredients, so it's healthy and the portion size was just right. I would love to try it fresh at the store next time.

It was after 2 pm so I was able to sit at the counter. I ordered a beer set. I had been wanting to try it for a while so my expectations were high, and it did not disappoint. The taste was delicious, with a slightly strong saltiness that paired well with the beer. It was quite filling and I was very satisfied.

I used the "Choose Your Experience Coupon" from JR Tokai Tours at "Noren Meguri" in the food court inside Shin-Osaka Station's Shinkansen area! The "Sujinegi" dish for 1100 yen was free! I also ordered a draft beer for an additional 630 yen! The dish had a rich broth and the texture was fluffy with good flavors of "sujinegi," "green onions," and "konjac." It was an incredibly delicious dish! Thank you for the meal. Now, let's start the Osaka gourmet and drinking tour!

Before heading back on the Shinkansen, I went to Negiyaki Yamamoto in Osaka Juso (^^). You order first and then take a seat. Started off with a toast with dark beer! The dish was mostly green onions, but it turned out amazing! It was refreshing with lemon juice. I really enjoyed it! Would definitely want to go back again! Highly recommended!

A branch of a restaurant that holds a special place in my heart. When I was young, I went there with my father and was blown away by the deliciousness of the negiyaki (green onion pancake)! I would love to visit the main branch, but it's just not possible. So, when I had a chance during a layover at Shin-Osaka Station, I decided to visit. I couldn't resist the limited menu items and chose the mentaiko (spicy cod roe), egg, and cheese negiyaki. They were all delicious, but I felt a bit heavy in the stomach afterwards. The combination of mentaiko and negiyaki was surprisingly good! On the other hand, the cheese one felt a bit too heavy. It becomes milder with the egg though. Overall, it was still tasty. Definitely worth trying at least once. The negiyaki with yamamoto's special sauce and konjac is still the best! I envied the people around me enjoying beer and negiyaki during the day. This is a convenient place to quickly enjoy the nostalgic negiyaki, but I still want to go to the main branch with my father someday and share the negiyaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. Thank you for the meal.

The negi-yaki inside the food court at the Shinkansen ticket gate. The concept of negi-yaki has been completely changed... (although I haven't tried many before). Fluffy and moist, with the umami of dashi and green onions, and accents of konjac and sinew. A little happiness before riding the Shinkansen.

I received a coupon for negiyaki on my travel. Even though I have been to Osaka many times, it was my first time trying negiyaki and it was really delicious! It had simmered beef tendons inside and tasted amazing with soy sauce. I asked for mayonnaise halfway through and they gave it to me, which made it even more delicious with a different flavor.

I visited during a crowded holiday period. The hustle and bustle of Shin-Osaka Station alone is exhausting. It's a food court style, so you need to secure a seat before ordering from the shops. Luckily, I was able to secure a seat quickly, but there aren't many seats available. I ordered the following: Beef and Green Onion Yaki for ¥1100, and Mentaiko Tamago Mochi Cheese Yaki for ¥1600. The Beef and Green Onion Yaki had a strong soy sauce flavor and was delicious. It may look simple, but it had plenty of ingredients and was satisfying. The cheese in the Mentaiko Tamago Mochi Cheese Yaki may be a hit or miss for some. Overall, it was a good meal. Since it's a food court style, I also liked that you can enjoy dishes from other shops together.

I stopped by before getting on the Shinkansen. It's quite crowded due to the normalizing of the coronavirus situation and the strong inbound demand. I ordered the mentaiko mochi tamago negiyaki set with beer. They seemed to be out of stock, so it would take about 15 minutes. I was asked if that was okay, and I said yes. In the meantime, I enjoyed some takoyaki and beer from another place. Finally, my order arrived. It was quite a generous portion. It was delicious and convenient, but in terms of cost performance, it was just okay. Since the neighboring kushikatsu place was available, I think I'll try that next time.

I entered the food court at Shin-Osaka Station, inside the Shinkansen area, and decided to try "Negiyaki Yamamoto" here. I had heard good things about this place from a previous visit to another location, so I didn't hesitate to choose it this time. I ordered at the counter and then took a seat at the designated area. I opted for the simple negiyaki. The staff worked efficiently and my order was quickly brought to me. I took a bite and found the texture of the konjac and dough matched well. There was a good amount of beef tendon, but I found it a bit too salty for my taste. It was cut into 6 pieces, and towards the end, it was a bit challenging to finish. However, other reviews seem to rate it highly, so maybe it's just my personal preference or perhaps it was just today's batch. I should have ordered a beer to go with it. Overall, thank you for the meal.

Before boarding the Shinkansen, I realized that I hadn't eaten anything truly Osaka-like during this Osaka business trip. With only 10 minutes left until the Shinkansen departure, I hurried to the counter of Mr. Yamamoto and asked, "How long will it take for a takeout negiyaki?" "About 5 minutes," he replied. I made a quick decision and got the negiyaki in exactly 5 minutes, just in time to catch the Shinkansen. I enjoyed the meal immediately, and it was so delicious! The way the broth was utilized was exceptional. The negiyaki was full of umami flavor, with plenty of green onions. The dough was soft and fluffy. It was amazing. It would have gone perfectly with a beer, but I was so focused on eating that I forgot about the beer I had bought. I remember now, during a previous business trip, the landlady at a ramen shop in Juso had recommended, "If you're in Juso, you must visit a great negiyaki shop!" I just realized that shop was Mr. Yamamoto's! I definitely need to visit the main store in Juso next time! Thank you for the delicious meal.

I had some time before boarding the bullet train, so I decided to stop by. I was torn between negiyaki and tonpeiyaki, but ended up ordering the tonpeiyaki with a beer set! After a while, it was ready. It was my first time trying it, but the sauce was perfectly sweet and savory, and it went well with the beer. The egg and pork were delicious, and I finished it in no time. I definitely want to eat this again.

I don't have high expectations for this type of shop at the station, as they often cut corners. I won't mention the name, but the three-character hiragana takoyaki shop inside Shin-Osaka Station is not worth trying. It's been years since I had negiyaki. It had plenty of green onions, konnyaku, beef tendons, and cheese topping. I think this flavor is good for a station. It would be tastier if it was a bit crispier though. It would be better if there were more seats. There are only 5 seats and no place to sit, yet they say it will take 20 minutes to cook... Some people are even drinking alcohol while sitting. I might miss my Shinkansen.

I visited this restaurant in Shin-Osaka because I had a great experience at the Umeda location before. Shin-Osaka station is appealing because of the variety of dining options inside the ticket gates. This time, I scheduled my visit during a layover. You can choose to sit at the food court's communal tables or at the counter in the restaurant. Although it's not a teppanyaki grill, you can watch the staff preparing the food at the counter. It seems like they pre-cook some items due to the need to serve a large number of customers quickly. The efficiency of the staff is impressive and worth seeing. When you place an order, they quickly steam it under a lid on the grill before serving it. The food comes out nice and fluffy, but it's not quite the same as freshly cooked. Perhaps this is the difference in taste compared to other Yamamoto locations. I would prefer to have it fresh, but there's no time to relax here, so it can't be helped.

In Kansai, my companion wanted to eat okonomiyaki, but due to the timing of our Shinkansen tickets, we decided to eat at a place inside the station. I remembered there was a good place inside the Shinkansen ticket gate, so we went there. My companion wanted something simple, so we ordered two simple negiyaki. We enjoyed them with beer, and although I was curious about the "all toppings" option, the simple negiyaki was just right. The "all toppings" option seemed a bit over the top with even mochi on it, but my companion loved it!
