The sweetness of the pineapple is strong but refreshing. It goes well with the cheese. My family had the Chocolate Banana (380 yen). It's a classic combination and they said it was delicious.

There are shops on the Ichibangai Street at Hakata Station, and also on the basement floor of Hakata Hankyu. I had eaten strawberries there before, but they weren't very sweet. However, the mango fruit sandwich I had later was so delicious that I bought it whenever I saw it. The new SUN originally comes from a fruit shop in Saga, where all the fruits I bought were sweet and delicious. I wish there was a fruit shop like that nearby. It is convenient to have such a shop in this location, near the Shinkansen gates at the Chikushi exit of Hakata Station. I bought the Strawberry Pistachio Cream sandwich for 680 yen. I ate it on the Shinkansen and found it a bit difficult to eat. However, the satisfaction of the delicious cream and strawberries packed inside made up for it. The strawberries were also delicious. It seems like New SUN has specialized in creating sandwiches that are perfect for eating on the Shinkansen. This is a must-try for those traveling back from Kyushu.

The persimmon from this shop, which is particular about fruits, was unexpectedly juicy and large. I didn't imagine that persimmons could be this juicy. The cream is a mixture of whipped cream and cream cheese, which goes well with the persimmon. It had a bit more substance compared to just whipped cream. - Chestnut Sandwich ¥580 The chestnut sandwich features chestnuts alternating between astringent skin and sweetened ones, with a matcha cream that adds a colorful touch. When eaten, the matcha and chestnut combination creates a perfect dessert. The whipped cream is rich, and the chestnuts are sweet and chunky. I preferred the persimmon sandwich. It seems like my son was captivated by the "Chilled Sweet Potato" sandwich here. He bought it along with my fruit sandwich. The fruit sandwiches I chose that day were three: Strawberry for 450 yen, using Fukuoka's specialty strawberry "Amaou," which is red, round, large, and delicious. Chocolate Banana Sandwich for 380 yen, a sandwich version of the classic crepe flavor chocolate banana. Chilled Baked Sweet Potato for 450 yen, a sandwich made with sweet potatoes that are slowly baked, frozen once, and then further moistened to create a sticky and moist texture.
