The lavender tourism season has ended, and I felt like eating curry. I was debating between going to Yui Gokuson or Furano-ya, but since I was in the mood for soup curry today, I decided to go to Furano-ya. The restaurant opens at 11:30, so I thought I could go a little early, but when I casually passed by the front of the restaurant, there was already a line of about 20 people... Oh no... I hurried to join the line, thinking that it was not the time for shopping. The restaurant has a total of 40 seats, so it seemed uncertain if I could get in on the first round. After waiting for about 40 minutes, the opening time finally arrived. People started entering the restaurant one after another, but it was already full when it was my turn. In the end, I had to wait inside the restaurant. After waiting for about 50 minutes, I was finally seated. However, even though it had been an hour since the opening, I noticed that some customers from the first round had not been served their food yet... Why?? What was the point of the first round? This slowness is quite rare to see these days. We should be prepared for this delay. While waiting inside the restaurant, I carefully looked at the menu, so when I was seated, I ordered the Soft Bone-in Chicken & Hokkaido Vegetables (Medium Spicy) + Broccoli and Hokkaido Vegetables (Medium Spicy) + Chicken Frank + Shrimp Fry. I was prepared to wait, but surprisingly, the food was brought to us in about 10 minutes after ordering. It seems that they got overwhelmed with orders during the first round, causing the delay. The presentation of the vegetables was so beautiful that you could feel the attention to detail. Carrots, bell peppers, eggplant, potatoes, pumpkin, snow peas. The broccoli I added as a topping was also included, so while the variety is not that many, the amount of vegetables is plentiful. The rich coconut-scented curry was incredibly creamy and delicious. The spiciness was also just right. I really liked it. The tenderness of the chicken is a common feature in soup curry, but even the bones felt soft through the spoon, indicating that it had been simmered for a long time. After finishing the meal, I realized that it was worth waiting for an hour for this delicious soup curry. I would like to come back here again if I don't have to wait in line for so long.
