I visited this restaurant while touring Showa Shinzan and tried their black soy sauce-based ramen, which I heard was popular a while back. It was different from the recent thick soup trend, being a light soy sauce ramen. The noodles were firm and cooked just right to my liking. The soup was also light and tasty, but after a few bites, I felt like it was lacking a bit of depth. The soft-boiled egg topping was just a regular half-cooked egg without much flavor.

Today, OZ's favorite spot, Ichihontei in Toyako Town. OZ: "Let's go before it gets crowded!" With OG, we arrived at 11:40, but surprisingly no other customers yet. OZ ordered black ramen with gyoza, OG ordered black ramen with seasoned egg and gyoza, and I ordered black ramen with seasoned egg. OG gave me one gyoza and I enjoyed it with vinegar and garlic. Delicious! OZ, thank you for treating us! The black ramen with seasoned egg and gyoza was fantastic!

Today's visit to the restaurant was with my partner OG at Kawami Hotel at exactly 12 o'clock. We arrived to find the place fully packed, and the landlady had already closed the entrance curtain. It seems like they reduced the amount they make, but isn't it a bit much to close the curtain at 12 when they open at 11:30? Relax a bit, Yocchan (laughs). I ordered spicy miso ramen with flavored egg, while my partner ordered salt ramen. The landlady said, "We're closing up, so take your time and enjoy your meal (laughs)." Spicy miso ramen with flavored egg costs 990 yen plus 110 yen, and salt ramen costs 880 yen. Huh? I ended up paying 2200 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Today's location was Kawami Hotel with my partner OG. We arrived at 12:20 and found it fully booked, with 2 people waiting. They ran out of soup and closed! They must have reduced the amount they make, but to close the shop at this time on a weekday is surprising. I ordered salt ramen (4th time) with seasoned egg, while my partner ordered black ramen. The owner said, "We're closing up, so take your time and enjoy your meal! (laughs)" Salt ramen with seasoned egg was 990 yen, and black ramen was 880 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Today's location was at Takasago-cho, Toyako Town, a 12-minute drive from the venue. My partner and I visited and surprisingly, the parking lot was empty. The Black Ramen with flavored egg was 990 yen, and the Spicy Ramen was 880 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal! (^^)v

Today's site was in Toyako Town, visited with my partner OG. I ordered a red ramen (lightly seasoned with soy sauce and salt) with a seasoned egg topping, and 6 dumplings. My partner, who is 20 kilograms lighter than me, only had 2 dumplings haha. This was my 20th visit since my first visit 6 years ago. It's still delicious as ever! It's a bit lonely with only 3 other customers there. The hot spring town we passed through on the way back was quiet too, no longer a tourist destination. I hope the coronavirus situation improves soon! Red Ramen with seasoned egg: 990 yen Dumplings (6 pieces): 550 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Located in the Lake Toya area, this ramen shop is a bit away from the lakeside, in a sort of drinking district. It is featured in the Hokkaido Michelin guide and I had been curious about it for a while, so I decided to stop by for lunch during a drive. There are a few parking spaces on the side of the shop (up the hill). The interior has counter seats surrounding the kitchen and raised seating areas, giving it a pub-like atmosphere. It was lunchtime and the place was bustling with what seemed like regular locals, but we were seated at the counter right away. The menu offers salt, two types of shoyu (black and red), miso, spicy miso, and abura-men. The top of the menu featured salt, but shoyu seemed to be popular, so I ordered the "Shoyu (Black) Ramen (880 yen)". It was ready in about 7 minutes. The black-colored soup had a striking appearance, but it was surprisingly light and had a gentle flavor. It felt a bit lacking at first, but as I continued eating, it became more delicious. The medium-thick curly noodles with a good chew paired well with the soup, making it a tasty ramen. The feeling of the soup and the blend of shoyu and salt (red) reminded me of the ramen at "Nakayoshi" in the Muroran area. I enjoyed it and if I have the chance, I would like to try the salt and miso as well.

I had high expectations due to the combination of word-of-mouth and Michelin, but it seems like the prices have gone up quite a bit. It's a bit expensive for a ramen shop. Maybe the price reflects the fact that there are quite a few toppings. The ramen was placed on the upper counter, and the soup was very hot with a lot of broth. It was a bit scary to think about spilling it if I had been the one carrying it. The black soup looked thick, but it wasn't actually that intense in flavor, just a normal soy sauce taste. I didn't really sense any special attention to the ingredients, and there weren't a lot of them. Honestly, it felt like it was no different from the three-pack ramen you can buy at the supermarket. Lately, frozen ramen and instant ramen are really delicious, so I feel like Tokyo, as well as Saitama and Kanagawa, have much tastier ramen. It must be a matter of personal preference when it comes to noodles and soup. I'm sorry.

Today, after finishing a meeting in Toyako Town, I was taken to Ippontei by OZ. It was the first time I saw the parking lot empty. OZ ordered two bowls of black soy sauce ramen and two plates of gyoza. No matter how much you eat, delicious food is delicious! Thank you for treating me, OZ. Black soy sauce ramen: 880 yen, Gyoza: 550 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

The snowy scenery of Lake Toya is so cold, I want to eat something warm! It seems that there is a popular restaurant in Lake Toya known for its delicious soy sauce ramen with egg noodles. It was so cold, but this ramen warmed me up. When it comes to Hokkaido, it's all about ramen!

Today's location was Hotel Kawam○mi, and for lunch we visited this place nearby with my partner OG. It's not crowded today. I ordered salt ramen with seasoned egg, while my partner ordered black ramen with seasoned egg. The food arrived in 7-8 minutes. We quickly took a photo and dug in! No matter how many times I eat here, the food is always delicious! I feel like I could still eat this ramen even when I'm 70 years old (laughs). Salt ramen with seasoned egg costs 990 yen, and black ramen with seasoned egg costs 990 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Today's location was Toyako Town. I was taken to a reserved counter by regular customer OZ, along with HY and OG, for our 16th visit. We ordered 2 red, 2 black, and 3 gyoza. I had the red one, mixed with soy sauce and salt, delicious and light! Gyoza is juicy, so be careful not to burn yourself... Let it cool a bit and it's perfect! A delicious ramen meal with everything eaten and drank... When can we come back next time? Thank you for the meal, OZ! (^^)v

After about a year, I visited the restaurant for the 15th time. Today's location was in Toyako Town with my friend OZ and HY. "It's 11:30! Let's go to Ichibantei!" OZ, a regular, ordered miso ramen, while HY and I, first-time visitors, ordered two servings of black plus gyoza. The soup had a strong acidity, but it was delicious. HY said, "Let's make a reservation for next week, the 16th, at 11:30 for four people!" The owner replied, "I'll reserve the tatami room for you (^.^)" Next week, we'll try the red ramen! Soy sauce black ramen 800 yen, gyoza 500 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

I visited a ramen shop a little outside of Lake Toya Onsen Street for the first time. They had several types of soy sauce ramen, so I chose the black one and added a seasoned egg on top. It cost a total of 900 yen. Despite its dark appearance, the ramen was surprisingly light and easy to eat.

Things can be said differently. It's my second visit here. The ramen here is so good that it's chosen by Michelin, but ramen is a matter of taste, you know? I tried the black soy sauce ramen, but the rice was actually better. Ramen is something that can vary depending on the person's preference. With that in mind, let's read this. I parked my car diagonally in the parking lot, walked through the curtain, and ordered the black soy sauce ramen and rice. My companions ordered miso and salt ramen. The owner was confidently using his smartphone at the register. Well, it's not bad. That's the kind of place it is, right, madam? The staff is friendly. The ramen was quickly brought to us. First, I tried the soup and realized I made a mistake. Last time I had the salt ramen and it wasn't that bad, but this time it was a mistake. The menu says, "Seasoned with soy sauce only for the umami and aroma of soy sauce," and that's definitely true. Because it's true, it's not really my cup of tea. The soy sauce flavor. It might appeal to soy sauce lovers, but I came here for the ramen. It's not oily or greasy, and that's a bit disappointing. It's a soy sauce ramen that can't even be called a soy sauce flavor. I once visited a popular shop in Sapporo that boasted about its soy sauce. Their soy sauce had depth and I could feel the dedication. This soy sauce ramen feels monotonous. Oh well, this is tough. But there are some good points, like the rice, which was surprisingly delicious. It was so good that I would want to come back for it. The rice doesn't taste like the rice at a ramen shop at all. It's really tasty rice. I also ordered gyoza and rice, and I could be satisfied with the gyoza set alone. The miso ramen my companions ordered had a strong garlic flavor and a rich miso taste, with plenty of vegetables, all for 990 yen!? Wow, that's expensive. The soup and noodles were good, maybe worth around 850 yen. Maybe it's because it's a tourist area, so it can't be helped. The menu is displayed with tax excluded, which is not common in ramen shops. The taste felt like tourist area level. I also tried the salt ramen that my companions enjoyed before, and it tasted like a 3.4 to me. I remember it having more depth or deliciousness. I gave it a 3.5 because the rice was delicious! The rice here is really tasty. I felt disappointed and regretful coming all the way here. I wish I hadn't chosen the ramen option. It might suit some people, but it wasn't to my liking.

Soy sauce ramen with a sharp soy sauce flavor. It's delicious with a strong taste, but the normal soy sauce ramen is 880 yen including tax... The staff's service is energetic, but lacks a sense of kindness, making it somewhat less likely to want to come back.

This was my first visit. I arrived at 11:20 for lunch but the curtain was not up, so I went to a nearby convenience store to kill time and returned at 11:40 when it was open. I was seated at the counter along with two other customers. I ordered the soy sauce ramen (880 yen including tax). The restaurant is non-smoking, and it took about 5 minutes for the noodles to arrive. Later, a group of Chinese tourists arrived and the restaurant became full. It seems to be quite a popular place. The ramen had a rich chicken broth flavor and was delicious. I couldn't finish it because I'm trying to reduce my salt intake. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Today's location was Lake Toya Onsen, and for lunch, we decided on Kinchan, a restaurant just a 1-minute drive away. My partner and I, OG, arrived at 12:30 for our 14th visit. The previous customers had just left, so we took our seats at the counter. We both ordered the Black Extra Large with Flavor Egg to share. As always, it was delicious! Oh, the prices have gone up! It's a bit expensive for ramen now, especially since tax is not included. The value for money has decreased a bit. Black Extra Large with Flavor Egg: 1100 yen, Black Extra Large: 990 yen. Thank you for the meal!

On the third day in Hokkaido, we visited Lake Toya. For lunch, we decided to try the Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated Ichihon-tei for ramen. We arrived around 1:30 pm and there was a line of 10 people ahead of us. Just as we were about to join the line, they closed the shop and we had to inform the customers behind us that they were closing, which was a bit awkward. The restaurant is located in a run-down area in the bustling hot spring town of Lake Toya. Surprisingly, the shop's appearance and location were unexpected. There is a parking lot next to the shop where 7-8 cars can be parked. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally got inside. We ordered the black soy sauce ramen and miso ramen. The black soy sauce ramen had a rich dark soy sauce broth with a rounded, not overpowering flavor. You could taste the bonito dashi in the background of the soy sauce. The medium-thick curly noodles soaked up the soup well and paired perfectly with it. The toppings included green onions, char siu pork, bamboo shoots, and surprisingly, gluten. The char siu pork was tender and flavorful. I also tried the miso ramen, which had a good balance of bonito dashi and light miso. Personally, I thought both ramen were excellent. The staff, including the owner, were very friendly, making it a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant was so popular that they almost ran out of soup during lunchtime, leading them to cancel the evening service. Truly deserving of the Bib Gourmand recognition. Another great meal, thank you!
